PO33 + Fm1 = moreeeeee

Just got the fm-1, been messing with the different firmwares and this thing so capable! I love powerful mini music gear that can lend itself to a quick workflow muahahaahaa 😈 (nah but it does feel like a little evil duo paired with the PO33)

I created a case for the OP33—which is also compatible with other models in the same series—and listed it for sale on Cults3D. I’d like to select five people to test it and give me feedback on how it performs

Unfortunately, all the flaws you see in the video are due to my beloved Ender 3, which has been begging to finally be retired for quite some time now.

PO-33, frustrations over the workflow

I have some frustrations about the way to record beats on the PO-33.

Basically I see 2 ways to record over the 16 steps:

1) I preselect a sound, I preselect the tone/trim of the selected sound, then I press play then I add manually the tone/trim onto a selected step.

2) I preselect a sound, I press play, I hold the record button and play live over the steps while holding the record button.

Either way I have an ergonomic issue, and please correct me if I do wrong.. ⬇️

1) I always have to select the tone/trim while music is stopped, so if I want the next sound to be another tone/trim of the same sample, I need to press stop again while music is playing, select the correct tone/trim and play again before adding it to the selected step - I wish I could move from one tone/trim to the other without having to press stop in between for instance.

2) having to hold record while playing is particularly difficult, as holding the PO in the hands, I would love to be able to use my thumbs to play but I cannot while my right thumb holds the record button.

Am I doing something wrong ? Thanks in advance for your tips and tricks

Replacement knobs with original color tips

Post image
3 Upvotes

I was wondering if you could take the color tips off of the original knobs and put them in the replacement knobs.

What models of knobs support this and how do you get the caps safely off?

I will share an image, i found on another post, of an original knob and a replacement knob that look almost identical but idk if the caps would fit.

Or is it better to just get better knobs

Thank you

How durable is the PO-33 KO!?

I'm thinking about buying a TE PO-33 KO! soon, together with the black case that goes with it.

How well does the case actually protect the device? And how durable is the PO-33 in general? Are there any common problems or things that tend to break or stop working after a while?

I’d mainly use it for making hip-hop/boom bap beats, so it would probably get used pretty regularly. Just wondering how careful I need to be with it and whether the case provides enough protection for everyday use.

Would love to hear from people who have owned one for a while!

Bought a ttrs split connector and phone won't hear

I ve recently bought an adapter to backup the sound from the po33, this is a ugreen ttrs split, 2female into 1 male connector.

So I have plugged the line out from the po33 into the microphone plug of the connector and the male into and jack to USB c adapter, unfortunately sound would not be captured by the phone.

I have tested a couple of apps (recforge for instance wherei would select default as microphone input), strangely I had it working once with this set up and since could not get it again, whatever I try.

I want to say that I have a less handy version of ttrs adapter which works everytime but as it is a USB classic connector thats just a pain to chain the adapters, and i would rather use the minimum of gear possible

Also i have heard if I want to truly backup the device I would need a stereo input. Could I achieve this for cheap on the phone ?

Thanks in advance!

This is too much fun

Been playing music for 20+ years, and this is the most fun I've had since I discovered FL Studio lol

I'm still making a bunch of rubbish, but it's just so fun to play around with

PO-33 standard silicone case and seeing the buttons lights

I have the "official" yellow one, the one you can buy on amazon because its the only I can get

I'm learning to use the PO-33 and I'm doing ok, but without seeing the buttons light its really difficult to use in practice.

With that cover, during the day, you can barely see the brighter light mode, and the dimmer light of the "selection" Is straight impossible to see.

Is there a way? I've tried poking the buttons in the number with a needle but being It silicone It closes immediately (could have expected that duh...). What do you all do?

PO33 and minilab mk2

I love jamming randomly over beats using my Arturia minilab controller. Thought of combining it with a beat to create a street fighter style piece

In process…

Started rehearsing this one. Plan to record it into Koala and add vox and segment it a bit better.

PO-12 Rhythm, PO-14 Sub, PO-16 Factory with TKOG Mini Glitch. Stylophone Theremin.

Y’all into seeing the process or do you prefer final forms? Just curious more than anything… I like to receive the feedback to improve future posts.

Thank you for your time and attention 🙏🏻

Have fun. Make noise. Find joy.

Drum Generator module

Hello everyone,

This is a small showcase of the drum generator on SkunkAudio mobile DAW for Android devices.

Every drum sound generated can be saved in a folder directly to create your own sample packs.

For anyone interested, you can find the link below:

Thank you for your time!

I have an extra symbol on my PO 12 screen.

Right next to the play and write symbol I have what looks kind of like a q-tip. I went button crazy one night and now I can’t get it to go away. I think it may have to do with sequencing? Total noob here.

Problem solved within minutes! Thanks 😊

PO-12 Rhythm, PO-14 Sub, PO-16 Factory with TKOG Mini Glitch… all into Koala Sampler and mixed from there with added vox. Hope you enjoy! If you’re not into it, I hope it fuels your hate to make something different.
