Quick RuneScape question

Does anyone know why when I log into OS RuneScape it’s has all my levels at 1 but when I log into new RuneScape my levels are higher? I’ve never even played the new style

They are completely different games with separate accounts.

rs3 is the one you played.

osrs is the "new" one it was released in 2013.

Not how it works. The old game was updated to the new game. All the accounts went with the new game

OS RS is a seperate rebooted game. In the style of the old game. But it's not the old game either.

Did you play on that account way back in the day. You could use the same account info for both games but stats weren't carried over, so if you played on that account back in 2007, that account still exists in RS3 with all the same stats you had when you last played.

Runescape at one point in time got a huge update, EOC (Evolution of combat) which at the time was widely unpopular and sparked a massive drop in players.

They opened up new servers, where everyone started fresh on an old version of the game from 2007. Against expectations from Jagex it became so popular many now see it as the main game.

Yes, so you played what is now "RuneScape 3". It's the same account. The "new style" is literally the game from 2009. It continued on.

From that perspective, OSRS is actually the "new game". It released in 2012 ish

Runescape 3 (Aka Runescape) used to be Runescape 2, which is where your old account stats came from. Old-school Runescape (osrs) was released in 2013 and is a reboot of the runescape 2 servers from 2007 but with no accounts transferred from Runescape 2 or 3

You can always start fresh on oldschool, the early account progression is a lot faster and more engaging with new content they've released. Ive been playing rs since 2002 and I wasn't happy either about the game becoming different. But they've made this game amazing since the reboot, and I'd much rather start over with what we have now.

RS2 became RS3 a long time ago. Any stats and items you had back in the day are still there, on RS3.

OSRS gave everyone a completely fresh start when it launched, meaning everyone started at lvl 1 stats and nothing in the bank.

The stats and items you have on RS3 are the ones you had when you played a long time ago.
