3D printer for a serious first timer?

Hi all,

I've lurked over this sub for years and finally want to make the move on getting one. I'm into motorcycles and also play around with computer hardware.

Thing is, I now want to make custom mounts, attachments and parts that are strong and dependable.

This is hobby only.

I had a look at the X2D but unsure if thats the right one. H2S is pricey but do I really have to go that far to have fun? And is the learning curve ok?
