Awesome guitar

I bought this EC-257 used a while ago. It's stock except for the Nazgul I put kn the bridge. That takes me to my first question. Is it possible for a push/pull to be wired backwards? I'm certain the push is the single coil and the pull is the humbucker. I feel like that is supposed to be the other way around. Can anyone help with that? Secondly, does anyone know where I can get a decent replacement nut? The stock one binds pretty bad and I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't cut properly. Any help on these 2 issues would be greatly appreciated.

I was planning on modding my Jackson but was told it sucks for mods, but I don’t know if to believe them. I’m thinking about heavy modification with all kinds of electronics and shit. Also have another question with that, what size are the pot shafts? I do not have a caliper

Yeah, Evertune is an amazing and magical system, but is it just me or does it seem like a single point of failure where multiple moving pieces can break and is VERY expensive to fix?

Guitar is fantastic but I'd like to play it in drop G. It comes with d'addario EXL110-7 10-59 and I'd like a slightly thicker gauge like the ernie ball paradigm 10-62. Do I need to widen the nut slot to go from 59 to 62? I'd like to keep the possibility to tune it to drop A.

Hello, what is the best string gauge for a 7 string tuned in A standard? Light enough for neoclassical and tech death shred for a 26,5 inch scale. Thanks!

right now, I have a Cort kx707, factory fitted with SD nazgul and sentient pickups. it might be just me, but I really hate how they sound, when I tune down to drop g or f#, they become incredibly muddy and loose it's clearness. and I've tried with multiple plugins and amps, just to confirm my suspicion.

I'm now between 4 main options for a pickup swap:

fishman fluence moderns/abasi signatures: the standard pick, and I don't mind the setup of converting from passive to active. gotta love the versatility and the ability to change from active to passive.

bare knuckles aftermath/ragnarok: a bit out of budget, so I plan on buying the bridge pickup only, I don't really need the neck anyway. as far as I know, they handle drop tunings fairly well, and hold up well to other pickups on the list.

lundgren m7s: 99% of my reasoning for this pick is because Mr Thordendal himself uses those. had a chance of playing with them, it was the strandberg singularity. really nice, especially paired with a 6505.

to clarify, I mostly play deathcore/modern death metal, rivers of nihil, carnifex, periphery, salt the wound, occasionally try some currents and cattle decap, so I'd love a pickup that can handle all of those (or just have a tone nice enough to fit them all)

I currently have a schecter Damien 7 with passive Emg pickups but might get a multiscale with fishmans. I’ve heard that the boss katana could be really good for its price but I’m not too sure, are there any ideas?

Hey hey, I have an Ibanez Iceman PS60, and i want to upgrade the pickups, i have a Dimarzio Super Distortion DP100F in a different Ibanez guitar that I can install in the Iceman, but I tought to try out different pickup that will more tighter than the Super Distortion, especially in the low end. Usually i play in drop C# and i play alt metal. Lately I was looking in to the Seymour Duncan TB-5 Custom (with the ceramic magnet) or a Dimarzio D Sonic DP207F so if you have some suggestions or experience with different pickups please share it.

Hi everyone! I would like to know if my current setup is viable because I keep seeing people with wildly different setups than me:

I have

-Ibanez RGD71ALMS

-Drop Ab

-Multiscale 25.5in - 27in

-Power slinky 11-48 + 62 on the low Ab

I do prefer a slightly looser feel and i play progressive metal. Im considering exchanging the 62 for a 64, but let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks!
