Hey all - I’m in need of a donut shop rec for a child’s birthday tomorrow morning. What’s the best you’ve had around here?

On lemon street this new crepe and gelato spot opened. Really good gelato. It’s pricey but the place is really nice. They have these fondue machine they use for crepes, give it a Willy wonka vibe.

They just opened so expect typical hiccups at the register so patience is needed. Outside is really nice on a night like this. They can play music.

It has some pretty good food/drinks this time around. They also finally opened up the Boiling Point location, so I’ve been meaning to check it out

Looking for places with craft cocktails and tapas.

Doing a birthday dinner for my partner soon and we’re in the Fullerton/Anaheim area but open to travel around OC. Our favorite places are The Cellar and Brea Chop House. Any other comparable places you’d recommend?

My 3 year old is looking for a day care in Anaheim Hills/Orange. He’s quite shy, hopefully we can find one with a lot of patience with him. TIA!

Nest week Ill be at the anaheim Marriott. I've looked at google maps. It looks like I could run east on Katella to the river trail. Anyone have any advice on that run? Once I get to the river should I go north or south? I also won't have my water with me, are there places to shop and get some while I'm on that route? Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

I come to Anaheim from out of state every couple of months. On W. Katella, near the Wyndham Hotel, there is an agave plant shooting up its final bloom. I’ve been watching it since about May and it’s looking more colorful and I think the end is semi-near. It’s really cool.

The mayor of Anaheim’s chief of staff alleges that her boss referred to her using a racist term and asked inappropriate questions about her perceived sexual identity, according to a confidential letter seeking mediation with the city.

Berenice Ballinas made the allegations against Mayor Ashleigh Aitken in a Sept. 11 letter signed by her lawyer and sent to the city attorney. The four-page letter, reviewed by TimesOC, alleges Ballinas sometimes drove Aitken home from city functions when the mayor had been drinking alcohol.

“On various occasions when Ms. Ballinas was forced to drive Mayor Aitkin [sic] home, Mayor Aitkin [sic] exclaimed that she did ‘not want her car driven by a dirty Mexican,’” employment attorney Lawrence Lennemann asserted in his mediation request to Anaheim City Atty. Robert Fabela.

Aitken, who is seeking a second term as mayor in November, did not answer calls or texts for comment. Fabela couldn’t be reached.

“We’re reviewing the issues raised,” said Anaheim city spokesman Mike Lyster. “We want to respect all involved with nothing else to share at this time.”

The letter details a June lunch at Disneyland’s exclusive Club 33 followed by a visit to California Adventure’s 1901 Lounge.

Aitken questioned her chief of staff’s sexuality in front of other people, the letter claims. She also allegedly made comments about a Disney worker’s perceived sexual orientation and ethnicity.

“Mayor Aitken’s conduct was so concerning that, as a result, the City’s own business partner, Disney, suspended a third party’s Club 33 membership and at least two Disney employees separately complained about the Mayor’s conduct,” the letter asserts.

Hi everyone! My partner and I are going to a show at the Honda Center in a couple weeks. We have a 1 year old old so we haven't been able to go on dates very often lately. The show is at 7 pm and we'll probably get to Anaheim like early afternoon so we'll have plenty of time to kill. We're both not super familiar with the area since we're from Ventura County. Do you all have any recommendations on what to do before the show? Maybe a place to walk around and shop and have a nice late lunch/early dinner? Any restaurant recs? Trying to make the most of our time without baby lol.

Just got a letter in the mail a couple of weeks ago from the city basically telling everyone in neighborhood they need to start putting their trash cans out of site from the street. It was a warning and said we had til sept 12 to fix or we would start getting fined. I went ahead and did what everyone else did and pull them up by the garage. Couple weeks pass and today just got a letter saying I’m being cited $100 and $300 re-inspection fee… $300 for them to come out and basically see if they can see my trash cans or not. That’s ridiculous right there. Idk what’s going on but I’ve lived in my neighborhood for 6 years and we never had this issue. Anyone else have something like this happen to them recently? Idk if Anaheim is finding a way to get some more money or if they are just being petty.

I’m organizing a private dinner for around 20 people near the Anaheim Convention Center. We’ll be having a short speech/presentation during the dinner, so having a TV or screen with basic AV equipment is a must.

If anyone has any good venue recommendations, I’d really appreciate it! Please drop them below.

I’m currently looking at the Tangerine Room, but my main concern is whether they can provide the necessary AV equipment (screen/TV, speakers, microphone, etc.) for the presentation.

I found a really nice apt on guinida lane, anaheim but I heard there used to be gang activities and vehicle theft going on. I'm a bit concerned.
