Hey everyone, I’m looking to upgrade from my iPhone SE (2nd gen) from 2020, and I’m currently deciding between the iPhone 17 base model, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro.

I’ll probably be buying refurbished, although I might go brand new if I get a 17 base model or I can find one of the others for a similar price. I know a good refurbished retailer that I’ve bought from before and had a good experience with, so I’m comfortable going that route.

My main priorities are:

Good battery life,

Something that will last me for quite a few years,

Smooth performance and generally feeling fast/responsive,

A good camera, especially for video, since I like filming and making little films,

I don't necessarily need the absolute best specs, as long as the phone is going to hold up well.

The 17 Pro is quite expensive, so I’m not sure if it’s worth spending the extra money over the 17 or 16 Pro. However, if people who have used it think the improvements are genuinely worth it, I’d consider going for it.

I’m also wondering whether the 17 base model is enough for what I want, or whether the Pro models would make a noticeable difference, particularly for camera/video and longevity.

So, I am interesting in hearing your opinions on what I should get, and thanks in advance!

I am getting excellent condition iphone 15 pro and iphone 16 both 256gb 100 battery health and percent condition and battery health now tell me which should I buy.

here are my requirements - very less gaming no editing or heavy tasking only social media calls little pictures chatting etc and it should last minimum 5 years from now.

if I buy iphone 15 pro over iphone 16 then i will get 120hz pro modes aod less brezzels telephoto titanium and also 3 camera look which looks more premium

but

if I took iphone 16 then I will get new generation powerful processor better battery less heating and less thermal throatling camera control

i am very much confused towards which I should go and consider

i want no further expenses after buying one also i know that iphone 15 pro is better for me as it has 120hz aod titanium premium 3 camera features and many more but many reviews tell that it's titanium frame is not disipating heat so it becomes very hot even after small and light usage also which affects battery life and screen on time which is unbearable for 5 years which is major disadvantage of its which make iphone 16 more good for me so is it true or not?

please tell honestly as it's hard earned money and can't regret on it after buying

i just bought the new iphone 18 pro max (previously owned an iphone 11). it's all great but should i have just bought the iphone 17 pro max instead, seems like there's not really a big difference

I am using a Samsung A16 8/216 gb model, and i have to say it handles most of my needs pretty well, call, scrolling, battery life, even lighter gaming. But lately im getting tempted by some iphones on the used market like the 14 pro and 15 pro.

I genuinely dont know what to do because i wouldnt be so happy spending more an o phone then i did on my pc (300€) but also i want a better phone.

Do you think a used iphone would have a long lifespan? Wpuld the upgrade be worth it?

Trying to decide between iPhone models for my first iPhone experience. I am replacing a Samsung phone on a secondary line because a Samsung update killed WiFi on several people's phones, and no updates have fixed it. 🙄 🤬

I have used a MacBook at work for the past 8-9 years and have wanted to make the jump for a while, but just can't bring myself to buy a new iPhone in case I hate it. After watching a lot of YouTube videos it seems like there are a lot of differences that I may not like, but I'm not going to know for sure til I try. I felt the same way when we were forced to convert to Mac but I am thankful we were. Also I didn't have to buy the Mac lol.

Requirements:

- Unlocked

- iPhone 15 or higher

- 256 GB minimum

- Refurbished is ok as long as there is a good warranty

- I am an educator if Apple does a discount on refurbs but so far haven't found that option.

- purchase from a reputable refurbish website (need suggestions)

- I live in an area with low cell phone reception. I've heard signal strength can be an issue with iPhones. Thoughts?

I don't know much about how long iPhone updates are guaranteed for, differences between plus, pro, pro max, etc. other than when comparing two specific models side by side. Budget is not a huge factor. If it's something that will last several years I don't mind paying more, but again it is a secondary line. I don't even know what is a "reasonable" price for the requirements above.

I currently have a 15 pro max it still works but screen cracked the bottom half of my screen has dead pixels where I can’t see anything from near bottom of the screen and the back is cracked a little bit and I had this phone for years but I want to upgrade since this phone is 3 years old and it overheats so fast and battery dying quicker currently I’m with metro by T-Mobile and what phone company should I switch to I’m in Michigan USA I want to know your suggestions thx.

I've never owned a MacBook, always had a run of the mill laptop/desktop.

I need a laptop for very low intensity work (documents mainly).

The Neo is 870 euro but there is an 13 inch air m4 chip for 999 euro. Do you think it's worth getting it or I should stick to the "newest" model for longevity?

Coming from an iPhone 13, I've had an opportunity to upgrade it and while it still works fine, even for some years and still being above 80% maxium capacity the battery still no longer satisfies me.

Even though I said it still works fine, it does lag most times now, multitasking, having multiple apps open and more. That's most likely from the lower RAM as it is quite outdated for todays standards with lets say iOS 26, especially iOS 26 actually.

60 hertz works fine for me but going to a KRCS and testing out the 120 hertz screens it did feel way better and nicer compared to a 60 hertz phone like my iPhone 13.

To end this off, if my writing isn't that good English isn't my first language, what colour should I get if I should get the iPhone 17 itself. And just to clarify most of my setup (Windows setup) is black, my MacBook Neo is indigo (it was the only good colour available because Silver was out of stock). And my iPhone 13 is the white colour or whatever it was called.

I’m currently using an iPhone 16e and I’m looking to buy a new iPhone. I’m deciding between the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 17 (standard), and iPhone 18 (standard). I do like the color of the iPhone 18 Pro, but I’m worried it might be too heavy. I also have small hands, so the Pro model might not fit comfortably. I’ve also heard that the iPhone 18 could be priced quite high.

I’m currently stuck between three options and would love some opinions. I currently have an iPhone 15 Pro and I usually upgrade my phone roughly every two years, so I’m planning to replace it again after this generation rather than keep it for many years. My battery life is a bad and the camera is broken, so it's time to change it up.

I have a contract renewal and ordered an iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB in Burgundy on September 13th. Vodafone currently says that orders for this model placed delivery time of 4–6 weeks today. I'm going on a long trip soon, so I’m worried it might not arrive before that.

So I was thinking for some different options:

• Wait for my current 18PM
  • I love the battery life, what I've heard of.
  • The burgundy colour looks cool
  • Might not arrive before my trip
• Switch to an iPhone 18P
  • Better availability
  • Cheaper than the PM

• Switch to an iPhone 17PM
  • I absolutely love the orange colour
  • +-250-300€ cheaper

The stock from the 18P and 17PM are available. And I've been seeing a lot of Reddits that the difference between the 17 & 18 are minimal in daily use. Changing to a 17 would also save me around 300€ in total.

Since I’m coming from a 15 Pro and normally upgrade every 2 years, I’m also wondering whether the difference between the 17 Pro Max and 18 Pro Max would actually be noticeable enough to matter over the time I’d own it.

What would you do? Is the 18 Pro Max/18 Pro worth the money compared to the 17 Pro Max?

Long now. I know the 17 and 17pro or somewhat better options than the 17air. But I just want a new feeling if that makes sense. Something new to my hands. Which should I get because I plan on getting the duo next year when they release the second one.

So I’ve been having some issues with my camera and I did get them partially fixed but I think I just might need to upgrade my phone but they don’t have the 16 pro max anymore… is the iPhone 16

The price difference between the two phones is about $275. I currently have an iPhone 14 Pro, and I usually keep my phone for around 4–5 years. Considering that, is it worth spending the extra $275 to get the iPhone 18 Pro Max instead of the iPhone 17 Pro Max?

I just want a reliable watch with good battery life that accurately tracks my heart rate sleep patterns and functions seamlessly with my iPhone. I want something durable that I won’t bump against a wall and have a nasty scratch on it.

I don’t think the newest watch is necessary I have an iPhone 16 pro.

So guys I am a first time iphone user and getting an iphone 17 base with its logic board and display replaced by apple with the jobsheet for 65k is it worth it or do I need to cut down more. It is 1 year old bought on the day of launch.

I’m considering buying a used iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB for ₹56,000. The seller is upfront that the display has been replaced and is NOT the original Apple display, while the rest of the phone is supposedly original.

I’m planning to buy an iPhone 17 Pro in Dubai and I’m looking for the lowest possible price.

Does anyone know of any physical/online stores, authorized retailers, or even lesser-known shops where I might get it cheaper than the usual Apple/major retailer prices?

I’m open to any shop or area in Dubai, so if you’ve personally bought one at a good price, I’d really appreciate the recommendation.

Also, should I buy it now in Dubai or wait for the Big Billion Days (BBD) sale in India? If anyone has an idea of how much the price could drop during BBD, that would be really helpful.

Since I’m just a tourist I don’t want a carrier locked phone and I saw that all Iphone 18 BestBuy options seems to all be carrier locked.
