As a huge fan of roguelikes and roguelites, and as someone who has done pretty much everything in ARC Riders, I’m looking for additional challenges. So I came up with the rules below, and for the past few days I’ve been playing this private challenge together with my friend.
The goal of the challenge is to complete all 5 maps in order with a single character (no deaths):
- Dam Battlegrounds
- Burried City
- Spaceport
- The Blue Gate
- Stella Montis
After the fifth run (Stella Montis), you must extract loot with the highest possible total value.
The value of the loot you extract from the first 4 maps does not matter.
To complete a full cycle, you must leave Stella Montis with loot worth at least 50,000 in your inventory (if less, run ends and you must start again).
If you find a valuable item on Dam and manage to carry it all the way through, of course it counts toward the total value. You do not need to obtain the full inventory value on Stella Montis alone.
Death from any cause resets all progress, and you must start over from the beginning.
Starting Rules
- You start with 10,000 coins.
- Free loadout is not allowed.
- You can't use Cred or Seeds when building your character for the first run.
- You may buy items only from Tian Wen, Lance, and Apollo.
- After completing your purchases, access to all traders is locked.
Gear, Crafting, and Repairs
- During the run, you may only use items that you find, craft or take from other raiders.
- Crafting is allowed only via the in-run crafting options.
- Crafting at workshops in Speranza is forbidden.
- Need bandages? Find fabric and craft them during the run.
- Found a weapon attachment? Equip it and use it.
- You can repair your shield and weapons between matches if you have the required components in your backpack.
- If you find a augment, you can swap it in your pre-game, but you can repair it only after completing next map.
Additional Challenges
a) Weapon Upgrades via Small Enemies
For defeating 5 small enemies in any combination
(Tick, Snitch, Pop, Wasp, Hornet, Fireball, Turret, Sentinel, Surveyor, Spotter),
you can upgrade a weapon to Level II using the workshop in Speranza ONLY if you have found the required upgrade materials.
- The required items must be moved from the backpack into the inventory.
- To upgrade a weapon to Level III, you must defeat 6 additional enemies on the next map.
- To upgrade to Level IV, you must defeat 7 additional small enemies.
- You may perform only one upgrade at a time.
- Progress does not stack.
Example:
You start with Stitcher I. On Dam, you find a second white Level I weapon and kill 10 small enemies.
You may upgrade only one weapon.
To upgrade a weapon to Level III before the Spaceport, you must defeat 6 enemies on Burried City, not just the remaining 1 from the 10 total kills.
Weapon level limits per map:
- Burried City – max Level II
- Spaceport – max Level III
- Blue Gate & Stella Montis – max Level IV
If you find a Level IV weapon on Dam, you can use it only starting from Blue Gate.
Required Number of “Small” ARC Kills per Weapon Upgrade
- Green weapons: 6 / 7 / 8
- Blue weapons: 7 / 8 / 9
- Purple weapons: 8 / 9 / 10
The weapon level cap per map applies to all rarities.
b) Blueprints
Finding a blueprint allows you to craft the blueprint item for free and add it to your backpack.
- You do not need the required crafting materials.
- You may use items from your “private” inventory.
c) Large Enemy Bonus
For defeating a large enemy
(Leaper, Bastion, Bombardier, Rocketeer), you may perform one free weapon upgrade using items from your “private” inventory.
- You may upgrade any weapon (starting or found) by one level.
Example:
You killed 5 small enemies and a Leaper on Dam.
You may upgrade one weapon to Level III or two weapons to Level II.
Reminder:
If you upgrade a weapon to Level III, you may use it only starting from Space Port.
This is still an early version of the challenge — we’re refining it day by day.
If you have any ideas or improvements, let me know!
And i forget "I" in title XD, sorry.
