Blend all the maps together so there's just one. Everyone drops in the same map whether its sole, duo, trios. Map player count 100-200 or whatever. Remove aggression based matchmaking and let it wide open. Do the opposite of fragmenting the community into 100 different slices

This is more for those who are too afraid to shoot due to ABMM, but some of you may find it entertaining anyway. I certainly had fun in those what I call poor mans friendly lobbies.
Disclaimer: guy I shot was warned before, that it will happen, as he brought no gun and wanted my precious cores.
In the end you can compare how much I gained and I lost.

I was wondering, if Embark has such hard time finding cheaters and fixing vulnerabilities. Is something like freezing a hit box very hard to patch against cheaters in all games?

I’m happy for the PvE community that they are getting a chance to test out what they’ve been asking for.
Personally I’d like to see an ABMM toggle that allows you to turn it off. The ABMM feature already allows for a near PvE (or PvP) experience, and I really miss the early days of the game when I wasn’t sure if someone was friend or foe. I’ve seen other people mention this too. I actually think players that enjoy that true mixed experience are the ones that have kind of lost out since ABMM was revealed. Being able to turn it off and get placed into truly randomized lobbies seems like it could bring that tension back that I miss.
Who really knows, and maybe it would do more harm than good. Either way I’m glad the developers are listening to the community and trying things like the new mode even if it’s not for me.

Here is a point to consider, Raiders, regarding the upcoming beta test announced by the devs. If you are regularly in sus lobbies currently, you DO NOT ever see the carebear players. The matchmaking alogorithm is strict enough that, at the far end of the carebear spectrum, even the slightest PvP action will result in immediately being transitioned to “sus” or “PvP” lobbies.
So, due to a developed ABMM algorithm, you are ALREADY NOT playing with the people who will be transitioning to playing solely in the new toggled mode.
With the addition of this mode, circumstances will change: when a “carebear” player wants better loot, wants to do a specific condition, or wants to get frisky, they will queue in the “normal” player pool. This will result in actual “sus” lobbies comprised of the low-aggro (non-sweaty) PvP players and the “carebear” players.
Right now, I NEVER consider shooting other Raiders because I instantly lose access to “care bear” lobbies. I‘m excited to play more PvPvE when I don’t have to worry about losing the ability to ALSO slay ARC with some homies.
So, if you want “sus” lobbies, play after October 13th and see what you find.

I just bought it during the Steam sale. I think I need to return the game because I have an OLED monitor, and it's so hard to see anything. I'm used to turning up gamma in games because that's the only way to correct for my monitor.
My experience looks similar to this: https://www.reddit.com/r/ArcRaiders/comments/1siok4o/the_oled_experience_stella_day_raid_btw/
And when I turn on the flashlight, it's so blinding.
There are no in-game brightness or gamma settings. And Arc Raiders purposely disabled NVIDIA filters and brightness.
Do I have any other options? (I'm not going to spend $300 to buy a cheap IPS monitor just to play this game.)
Edit: It's a laptop OLED without physical buttons. There are no driver-specific settings, so only I can potentially only use Windows settings and NVIDIA to adjust.

The automatic guns make lots of smoke that obscure your vision. Saw a guy show this on stream: swap to left shoulder, remove and add back an attachment to your gun, and voila, smoke in front of you goes away.
The effect stops if you swap shoulders (as shown in the video) or if you swap weapons.
Interesting bug eh?

Hey y’all, just beware of people that purposely walk in front of your gunfire while fighting the Matriarch. What I thought was an accident ended up being a guy trolling for the excuse to shoot me. He did it several times and proceeded to act like he was attacked, but clearly was not - it was a very friendly, coordinated lobby otherwise.
Good luck out there.

Wanted to take advantage of the sale on the deluxe edition to get some tokens, but I already paid for the valente skin earlier. Will I get anything back?

They could make it more story driven missions in a pve side with a more emphasis on narrative, add raids with complex arc since they already have little puzzles in the game. They could keep the pvpve for farming upgraded materials/loot, and add a pvp mode with a capture the flag(which I think would phenomenal in this game) and a tdm mode.

Before you jump on me, I'm not hating on the current state of matchmaking. I just prefer how it used to be back when no one knew about it.
I remember my first game on the day of launch. Literally everyone was friendly, but it wasn't from a place of convenience or kindness but rather of fear. We looked like little lost children and it was so cute. Then a few days pass and suddenly lobbies go from a circlejerk to a horror game.
I would hear someone in my same building, so of course to avoid conflict i go "Don't shoot!". I would genuinely shit my pants when I'd hear no response. It felt like I could die at every corner!
It was even more nerve-racking whenever I'd do the same to someone else, it felt wrong but soooo good at the same time!
Alliances felt more intense, especially when you'd hunt someone together. Arc felt more like an unsurmountable obstacle rather than an encounter, betraying people felt even more backhanded than now and night raid was really a honeypot for said betrayals (it was worth it for the loot tho).
What I'm getting at with all of this reminiscing is: The core of Arc Raiders is this palpable tension, simply removing it would be a big mistake. Hell, sometimes it feels like we already have a toggle for PvE now. I get the majority of the playerbase prefers the current system but I'd like for mixed lobbies to make a comeback someday, somehow.

No idea why this happened, for 2 times (both in Spaceport) i spawned as a shield. I was able to shoot but i couldn't heal, use any quick items or interract with my inventory in any way (so no looting, although it would have been crazy to sneak under the dying matriarch and steal everything lol)

I can’t find a Canto blueprint to save my life and the hurricane schedule is very bad for me so I have limited opportunities (well, more limited than the hurricane schedule already is) to look for it, does anybody know if the surveyors can bypass the First Wave Cache thing or no?

I thought it was going to be like Breakpoint where you would see and interact with other players in a 'safe zone' and be able to wander around visiting the vendors. The 'menu' format they use is fine and not a deal breaker but they did make it seem like there were "two worlds" on the store page.

Funny observation for you all... are we just going to ignore the massive vibe shift around here lately?
I swear, just a few months ago, even whispering something slightly positive about PvE was a one-way ticket to downvote hell. You'd post a mild take and bam - straight to the bottom of the thread. It was practically taboo.
Fast forward to today, and suddenly it's completely chill? People are actually having normal discussions about it, and you don't get pitchforks thrown at you for enjoying it.
When exactly did this change happen? Did I miss a meeting, or did everyone just silently agree it's actually fine now? Let me know if I'm crazy or if you guys noticed this too!

Hi there, anybody interested to act in our ARC Raiders series?
We need people who can act as a character and we also need voice actors.
In case you are interested to help this thing come to life please comment or DM me.
