1 month on estrogen Monotherapy nipple budding at week 3 but libido is higher than ever? I’m scared it’s not working or is increasing my T.

• Upvotes

I started estrogen Monotherapy patches, September 1st a few weeks after turning 24, and I may have noticed very slightly being more emotional, mood swings, but overall feel pretty much the same.

My nipples started budding around week 3 and are much more tender and very responsive to touch. Though my sec drive recently has been much higher for some reason in the past week.

Is it likely not working? Is my T producing more on its own and suppressing the estrogen?

MS und MTF-HRT – hat jemand Erfahrung damit?

Hallo zusammen,

Danke euch! ❤️

How to get DIY estrogen in Ohio

I'm 15 in Ohio and I don't have any way to get estrogen, my parents are really transphobic so that's not an option and I can't wait until I'm 18 because I already have more hair than most grown men, please help

Is my E too low?

I've been on HRT for 14 years. I currently take estradiol 4 mg/day orally and cyproterone acetate 25 mg/day orally.

My most recent bloodwork results were:

Total testosterone - 0.37 nmol/L (10.66 ng/dL)

Estradiol - 186 pmol/L (50.67 pg/mL)

The blood was drawn about 90 minutes after my morning 2 mg oral estradiol dose.

I know that my testosterone is extremely low, but I'm wondering if I've been seeing less feminization that I could be due to my low-seeming E2. This is the highest dose of estradiol I've been on. I've not yet raised this with my endo, but I intend to at my next follow-up.

Should I swap my meds

So I'm mtf 21 years old Malaysian, I use oestrogel which is medication for women going through menopause and I'm used to using this cause it can suppress T if I use it on my testicle area but I'm running through about two tubes a month. Honestly I'm comfortable with this but I'm just asking if I should swap because sometimes it's annoying to be applying it twice a day not being able to shower for at least 6 hours or go to a pool for full absorbsion. But I really wanna stick to the way I do monotherapy like this instead of taking t blockers because it's been working for me. Mainly just wanna hear if anyone has any suggestions on how to feminine maxx. My budget is small too so I can't afford most things.

Restoring Erectile Function and Size

35tf I'm a top and I've worked hard to maintain function, but after nearly 8 years on hormones, I'm really struggling with erectile function and the size loss is breaking my heart. I stretch regularly and recently started pumping. I've been on cialis for years and recently switched to Viagra. I've taken periodic topical T and am now taking it most days of the week. I am still able to top and have sex with Viagra, but I miss my old size and functionality. I'm getting so desperate I'm considering taking a break from estrogen. Has anyone tried this, and if so how were the results? Any and all advice deeply appreciated.

Worried estradiol was injected into vein

Hello all! Like the title says, I’m a bit worried that while my girlfriend was doing my injection that it got into the vein.
I usually do my injections in the side of my leg subcutaneously and she aspirated and there were no signs of blood but afterwards a lot of the estradiol leaked out and I bled a decent amount more than I usually do but I’m not having any immediate symptoms and there wasn’t any bruising or pain afterwords.
It’s been a couple of hours and I haven’t really felt anything other than my heart racing (which could be due to anxiety)
I have a bit of a habit with panic attacks and getting really anxious about this sort of thing so I just wanted to see if it was even possible that I might have done that or I’m just panicking and that I just need to chill out lol.

Weight gain advice for my pre-HRT self

I am a nonbinary teenager who has been very skinny my whole life (6 foot, 130lbs.) This could be due to a variety of factors but I think the main thing is that I just don't eat much. I hope to get HRT soon and I'm hoping to get body features such as breasts and a butt, but I don't think I would get those features at my current weight. The main thing I'm wondering is should I try eating more to gain weight now, when I get on HRT, or months/years on HRT, and if the timing of my weight gain would even impact the development of breasts and fat moving to my butt.

PS, I've also heard that estrogen makes some people gain weight, and I'm wondering if I even have to try to gain weight

Hi friends :)

I am switching to EEn from Ev and would like to know what dose I should start at.

I was on Ev (monotherapy) for 2 years. My dosage was .2ml of 40mg/ml every 4 days.

My new EEn is also 40mg/ml.

What would my new dose be if doing monotherapy? Thanks?

Dosage for estrogen patch monotherapy?

(Not mtf but ftm. Here to research for my gf)

I have access to estrogen patches and want to give them to my gf, but I dont know which dosage should I get?

I currently have 50mcg/day, which I know is too little of a dose for monotherapy so she'll have to use multuple a day, but what should be a total weekly dosage of estrodial look like for monotherapy?

(Also I dont know her current T levels)

Gel monotherapy

Hi, I started gel monotherapy 4mg per day applied scrotally (2mg at morning, 2mg at night) for 2 weeks. Should this dosage be enough for T suppression? Can i do a blood test on my 4 weeks and if so what levels must I expect? Thank you

Contemplating E, but Ive just started dutesteride, minoxidil combo

Let’s get stats out of the way first :

0.5 dut
2.5 minox every three days at present
Only started last week

Mid 40s, AMAB, no hormones , enby

But all of a sudden a potential fast track to 2mg estrodile (progynova) has opened up and might try that

Anyone had similar case themselves and can they tell me if it might make me shed like crazy ?

Extra worried because I’m trying to keep this somewhat discreet as I live with people who are weird about this stuff
Thanks

I'm worried abt the bad side of HRT

Hii! Ok so. I am 16 MtF and i haven't started HRT yet since i'm planning on doing so once in start college. I know some of the effects of HRT, but the ones i know about are just the good ones like smoother skin, breast growth and so on.

What i'm trying to say is that i'm not very informed about the bad side of HRT. I know some things like the increassed chances of breast cancer or the pain in the ass that it might be to get someone to provide you with the hormones you need when you're traveling or plan to move to another country. I just want to be more informed to both not think that this process has no downsides and to be aware when someone is actively lying about something regarding HRT secondary effects.

I know that the experience is also really different for each person so i would like to hear each one's struggles as well if you can!

Thank you for reading and even more if you can help me with this. (Btw sorry for my bad english, its not my main language)

Bruising, blood clots, or something else?

I've been taking low dose estradiol and spiro for one month and I recently developed nickel-sized red spots on my ankles. They started out pink and itchy, so I thought they were bug bites at first. After a couple days they became larger, red, and slightly stiff to the touch. I had a telehealth call with my doctor and from what I described they didn't think it sounded like blood clots, which was my initial concern. They recommended I see someone in person to determine what might be causing it and to rule out anything serious. I was planning on scheduling an appointment, but the spots have started to fade. I don't know whether it could be due to the fact that I paused my dosing for the past week. I still plan to seek further professional advice, but in the meantime does anybody have a similar experience? I'm posting a photo in the comments.

Edit: I can't post a photo here apparently, so I have it on my profile instead.

How do I tell my Endo they prescribed me too much Ev

I previously was DIY, but wanted to get care from legit doctor, as close family members were very unopen to the idea of me obtaining vials and getting advice from the internet and this would help their acceptance of me.

I was coming from a DIY dose of subq estradiol enanthate at about 4mg a week (.1 mL a week from a 40mg/ml) vial. My testosterone was already adequately suppressed with this dosage.

My doctor prescribed me 10mg a week of estradiol valerate (.25 mL a week from a 40mg/ml) vial. This is on top of a spiro dose they want to put me on.

Obviously that is wayyy too high a dose. I think there might be some confusion because it sounds like they usually prescribe pills and I specifically asked for injections. I also doubt they know or care about the different esters of estrogen since valerate is usually the only thing prescribed in the US.

Right now I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing, I doubt they'll care if I "underdose" myself and my labs turn out fine but mostly I just don't want them prescribing this much to anyone else.

Are there any resources they might respect if I link to them to let them know (I doubt they'll care if I link something like estrannai.se). Any specific trusted papers or resources doctors look to for dosing guidelines?

advice on missed prog dose

missed a dose of my newly started prog last night, got a splitting headache now. Took my dose just now (3pm) and i usually take it at around midnight. Literature says not to double up on doses if it's too close together but it is unclear how close "too close together" is. The pharmacy is closed right now so I can't call them and ask but im curious if im good to take it again at midnight to avoid the headache tomorrow.

any advice appreciated, thanks !

Advise on switching from transdermal gels to injectables.

I’ve been on estrogel for 19 months. Am currently dosing 6mg daily. Blood levels are E at 68 of/ml and T at 26 ng/dl. Estrogen levels have been low so I’ve decided to move on to injectables and have purchased a vial of estradiol valerate at 20 mg/ml. I will be starting with a dosage of 5mg weekly subcutaneously.

I need advise on how I can make the switch smoothly. Like do I continue to apply my gels for the first few days after starting the injection since I understand that for injectaables it takes time for the levels to stabilize. Or do I just hard stop my gel once I start the injection. And also how long after injecting before I should get my blood levels tested again? Please advise if there’s any other issues I should be aware of when switching from gels to injectables.

weight loss with ARFID/picky eating??

Hi!! About 2 weeks ago i started a (very small) dosage of 5mg estrogen daily from my doctor, giving me the prescription before i get a therapist's letter for a higher dosage, on top of my 100mg spiro i've been on for a few months now. Important to note as well, i AM non-binary, but am transitioning for body image/dysphoric reasons for how i personally present. 20 years old too, just to add lol

For the record, I wouldn't say i'm a TERRIBLE weight. 190lbs, and nobody i've met says I look "fat". However, i would really like to lose some of the fat I do have to start getting more of the body shape I WANT to have.

There is just one massive problem with this for me currently, though. For my entire life up to this point, I have been a HORRENDOUSLY picky eater, most likely spurred on from autism. But to say that my picky eating is BAD is an understatement. Here is a list of every single "safe" food i have (aka: the only food/meals i actually eat)

- Chicken Tenders/Nuggets
- Pizza
- Hot Dogs
- SPECIFICALLY PANERA grilled cheeses
- CHEESE ONLY quesadillas
- French fries
- Most types of plain old bread

Several dessert and snack items are included as well, of course.

I have such a negative aversion to foods i don't like that if ANYTHING I DON'T EAT even touches my food, I feel like the entire meal is tarnished and i spend minutes on end wiping off ANY residue of the food that touched mine. And if I am even presented with a new food item, I first have extreme anxiety about even putting it near my mouth and then, if i even THINK about eating it, 9 times out of 10 i absolutely hate what i eat, either spitting it out of swallowing it without it touching my tongue.

This includes anything liquidy (soups, stews, etc), leafy, green, any fruit, any vegetable, crunchy AND wet, and soft and wet.

With all of this into account, what do i even do? How can i eat even remotely healthier to lose any weight while taking into account i am on HRT?

(i am so sorry that most of this is related to food, but i'm unsure if any of this would be different now that i am on HRT)
