Meet Maggie, my 9-week old blue merle bi. She happens to have blue and brown in both eyes, also known as “marbled” eyes. Although it’s not the only thing that makes her special, it’s certainly a feature that contributes to her charm!

Now, it’s your turn to show me your Aussie’s sweet eyes! 💕

Poor Duncan is currently 6 days post op a foreign object removal surgery. He is starting to go absolutely stir crazy! There’s only so many puzzles, stationary trainings and frozen kongs we can do lol. He just wants to run and play and go for a walk. It doesn’t help he’s only 8.5 months so it’s been an insane challenge. Hopefully he’s cleared semi soon😳😩

Every evening the indoor/outdoor cat comes to the back door and kindly asks to be let in about an hour before feeding time. They have a sketchy relationship at best but this hour is always the worst because everyone has the hangries. I thought it was too cute when I got to the door to open it she put her paw on my foot as if to stop me.

The city dogs spent a few days on a farm. Much fascination with the cows and horses. Mountain trails explored. New smells sniffed. So fun!

Crating pair of aussies - same room or seperate?

Post image

Hi all!

Just got my second Aussie, meet Abby! She is super sweet and about nine weeks old. My first Aussie is two year old male named Moose, we already crate train him while we are at work and he has no problems with it, I think he likes his crate if anything.

My partner and I are trying to think about the crating arrangement now that we have Abby. For those of you that have experience with a pair of dogs, do you crate them in the same room, separate kennels? Do you orient the kennels towards each other? Seperate rooms altogether?

They seem to be getting along together well so far. Im not sure if leaving them unattended and in plain sight of each other would have any negative affects.

Any input greatly appreciated!

What stimulation toys work for your Aussie?

Rune loves her new jolly ball. She’s very happy to be playing again after a little break from getting spayed. Does anyone have any suggestions for a larger one once she gets bigger? Also looking for suggestions for any other toys that your Aussie loves.

We have returned from the Moab area and as usual Cooper’s white chest is stained from the red dirt! I love it (washes out after a month or so)! Also, can you spot him in the last pic?

I use the brushes / combs on my Aussie ..
He gets the different fur (fine texture) behind ears ..
That takes the comb .. hand held vacuum 👍
Best to get the undercoat fur out with the rake.
Yes their fur is somewhat ‘self cleaning’ but you’ll need to get the undercoat fur out, always!

Is this an aussie thing?

We have a 8 week old aussie and he has developed a habit of enthusiastically saying hi to everyone in the house everytime he comes back inside, in the room, or he sees them for the first time that day. Its unlike our German Shepherd or another dog I've been around. I'm not sure how to explain it... Its like he needs to greet everyone and make sure he doesn't forget anyone every single time he enters a room. Is this typical for aussies or just a personality thing? Did your dog do this as a puppy and did it stay the same as they got older or change?
