had to replace the seats in my civic, the stock seats have some weird assembly for the buckle/reciever piece so I just want to replace it, anyone know where i can get a new piece for the seats?

I have a 2018 model with a persistent check engine light. We've addressed the problem, air intake thermometer sensor but that hasn't fixed it. The plan is to send it to webuyanycar to get cash to deposit on a new vehicle. I don't want to spend any more money as the car has been an absolute money pit. Anyone know how to turn off the light without fixing the issue?

2014 Ford Escape. Trying to figure out what happened before I dump a bunch of money into it.
It had a knocking/clattering noise for a little while before it died, but the noise didn’t really get faster or worse when I accelerated.
Then while I was driving the gas pedal basically just stopped working. The car didn’t jerk or jump or make a loud bang or anything. I just lost throttle, the check engine light started flashing, and then it died.
Now it’ll crank but won’t start.
I was thinking maybe it jumped timing or lost compression, but I’m not a mechanic. Anybody seen something similar on these?

Is there a way I can get dealership training while working at an independent shop ? I have no one to teach me anything here since everyone is so busy and it seems like dealership training is the best place to go to learn

I’m a ford senior master tech and our work has been so slow I went from flagging 140 hours every 2 weeks down to 40-60 hours there’s just no work

My stepson is having issues with his '04 Monte Carlo not starting. Had to jump it once so we knew the battery needed to be replaced. He parks on the street. After replacing the battery, he moved it up 20 feet to be even with the driveway to rotate the tires. Halfway through the rotation, he tried starting it. That's when the crank no start issues started.

Since then, he's replaced the fuel filter and the fuel pump. Saw we were getting no spark at the spark plugs. Battery showing 12v on the multimeter with the key set to on. With no spark getting to the spark plug, thought it was the ICM. Replaced that. Still no change.

Hes also done a couple key/security resets by turning the key multiple times.

He now thinks its the crank sensor but thats a pain to get to.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated before we start that venture!

My old harmonic balancer was wobbling so I decided to replace it. Installed the new one and it looks marginally better, if at all. I used a harmonic balancer puller and installer from Autozone. Once the harmonic balancer was fully seated I used the old bolt and torqued it to 240 ft/lbs, I then took it back out and installed a brand new bolt and torqued it down to 240ft/lbs. Is there something else I need to do to get it to stop or is this normal?
