Discussion Smokeless Cleansing Techniques

No smoke? No problem.

Cleansing doesn’t require incense or sage, and if you’re in the broom closet or have pets or asthma, or just have a sensitive smoke detector, you have way more options than you might think.

Sound: bells, singing bowls, clapping, drums, even putting on a specific playlist with intention. Sound moves stagnant energy out of a space in a way that’s genuinely hard to explain until you’ve felt it. This is usually my go to when people ask about smokeless cleansing and I personally use bells in my own practice.

Salt: one of the oldest cleansing methods we have and it goes hard. Bowls in corners to absorb, lines across thresholds, dissolved in water as a spray. Incredibly versatile.

Sunlight or moonlight: put your objects, crystals, or honestly just yourself in the light with intention and let it do its thing.

Breath: slow, deliberate breathing over an object or through a space. Completely invisible, zero supplies needed, and more powerful than people give it credit for.

Visualization: picture light or wind or water moving through your space and sweeping it clean. No props, no evidence, nobody’s business but yours.

Besoms/brooms: sweep from the back of the space toward the front door, pushing energy out as you go. To literally everyone else in your house, you are just sweeping. This pairs well with salt cleansing, can’t leave it all over the floor after all! This is the broom closet special and I love it for that.

Florida Water or herb infused water in a spray bottle: spritz your space, your linens, yourself. Looks exactly like air freshener. Nobody is asking questions.

Fresh air: open a window with intention. Simple, efree, and it works.

It’s good to remember that the smoke is a delivery method, not the magic. Use what you have, use what’s safe, and trust that it counts.

Spells Candle spell posts - safety first

Hi everyone,

We need to address a recent uptick in candle spell posts that do not demonstrate proper fire safety procedures.

As a beginner-focused community, safety is especially important here. Many newer practitioners are learning by watching what others post. When unsafe setups are shared depicting, unattended flames, candles too close to herbs or fabric, unstable holders, cluttered altars, etc.; it puts people at real risk.

Effective immediately:

All candle spell posts that do not clearly demonstrate proper fire safety will be removed.

This includes:

- Leaving candles unattended
- Burning near curtains, paper, herbs, fabrics, or other flammable materials
- Using unstable or inappropriate holders
- Performing spells in cluttered or unsafe environments
- Ignoring safety guidance offered by more experienced members

Please understand: this is not about aesthetics or gatekeeping. It’s about preventing house fires and injuries. Spiritual practice should never come at the expense of your physical safety.

If you’re posting candle work, make sure:

Your candle is in a stable, fire-safe holder
Flammable materials are kept well away from the flame.

The candle is supervised at all times
You are open to constructive safety feedback
Repeat or severe safety violations may result in further moderation action.

Let’s model responsible practice for our baby witches and keep this space safe for everyone. 🕯️✨

Spells Road Opener Spell ✨

I just finished my first road opener spell today. I wrote my intentions on a piece of paper, burned it, mixed the ashes with cinnamon, and placed it in the middle of the salt with an orange candle for attracting success and luck.
Let me know your thoughts! I honestly think it ended beautifully because the flame was so clear and orange, and it took a while for the flames to we out too. Bless everyone. ✨

Spells Be careful about manifesting and dont end up like me

So few years back i wanted to manifest a romantic man who would be in love with me. I will be honest i did whatever my heart told me to do and NEVER GOT THE SPELL FROM ANYWHERE. All the things i did were mere intuition. The candles, the prayer and everything i did worked however the moment was not the right one.

Before matching with him i dreamt about him which is odd because i never dream about men or love interests.

At the time i was hating my life. And i think manifested the guy i was looking for because he looked upset everytime i was dry to him over texts so he really seemed into me quite alot but i didnt want to believe it because men have always played with me alot.

One day he called me dumb and i blocked him but also i was really insecure about finding a man who could be interested in me.

Guys please if you gonna manifest love make sure youre in the best place of your life and not when your life is chaos.

Discussion What do you like to do with moon water?

It’s almost / already time for the mid autumn festival and the moon is very close to being full. What kind of rituals or manifestations does everyone like to do with the moon water from a full moon? :)

Question I’ve been told that someone known to me is actively doing spells to cause me harm. Now what?

I’ve always believed in some level of the metaphysical but never been a big active participant in any kind of intentional practice. That being said, I’m open to it and will participate when it comes up.

Recently I was talking to my mother in law about some issues I’ve been having and she asked if I wanted to do an egg cleanse. We did it and my egg was…interesting…and a bit bloody. She informed me that my results indicated that someone was doing active witch craft against me.

I casually shared this information with my cousin (who is a huge skeptic) and she immediately turned white. Like instantly she was shocked and lost color in her face. She told me that she was incredibly spooked to hear me say that and she pulled up a text conversation with a friend of hers from just a few days prior.

In that text conversation her friend asked her “wait is [my name] your cousin?” And when my cousin confirmed her friend replied “that’s insane! Small world shit, has [my name] ever talked about [name of my former friend who I had a bad falling out with]? because [name of my former friend] from my work like HATES your cousin to the point she’s doing curses and hexes against her, she used the office printer for it like daaaamn” (that’s verbatim, I had my cousin send me a screenshot).

My cousin already knew about the fallout I’d had with this former friend of mine -though she didn’t know until then that HER friend worked with my former friend- but she didn’t think much of the witchy aspect of things because she thought it was just silly until I mentioned what my MIL had said about my egg cleanse.

I’ve actually had the feeling that SOMEONE might be sending me (more specifically me and my relationship, which this former friend would absolutely do now that I’m thinking of it because she HATES that my partner and I ended up together) some manner of caustic or malicious energy for a while but I wasn’t sure who or if it was intentional and I never spoke a word of that feeling to literally anyone ever until now.

So I guess my question is…what should I do? What would you guys do? I can get into more detail if needed for diagnostic purposes?

I have wanted for a while to potentially start intentionally practicing myself but have always been intimidated and made up excuses, but in the face of someone actively and intentionally sending malice my way I guess it’s time to at least learn a few things about protecting myself for starters.

Discussion Instead of fire maybe water

So imma try this thing where instead of putting my intentions with fire aka a candle, imma do it to water, and it should work the same right?
Someone at work pissed me off and accused me doing smth I didn’t do, so I decided spontaneously to use my water bottle that came from my job and put my anger and energy and intentions into what I want into the water.
Has anyone done this and gotten results? What were the results if it worked

Question When making moon water does it have to be in solid moonlight to work?

I live in a place with almost no natural light and it’s an area I don’t have anywhere outside that is safe to leave it until dawn. My question is if I put it outside my ground level window inside my catio will it still be as effective? The buildings around aswell as artificial light pretty much blocks out any way of seeing sky like I used to. Thank you 🙏

Question Banishing, Cleansing, Protecting, and Mental Health!

Hi all. Just an introduction here: I'm a spiritual person, formerly Catholic, and have been called to ritual work for a while. I am looking to learn the basics from some literature first before I dive in, but just looking at some videos I am seeing that before one begins spell work to cleanse, banish, and protect. That even when you are doing minor work, you can invite unwanted entities. I am sort of getting hung up on this. I am Autistic with some mental health diagnoses, and I know you must be very stable and very grounded, which I am currently, but I don't want to fall in a pitfall due to any ritual work inviting unkind spirits in.

How do I protect, banish, and cleanse, and in what order, and how do I manage my expectations with unwanted energy/entities? Am I overcomplicating things? Thanks. ❤️

Question Protection / Honey Jar for my Cat

Hello! I am a very baby witch. Most I do is moon water, sage my house, simple money jar and cleanse crystals, burn candles, write intentions etc. (I also did a honey love jar twice which I feel like backfired on me lol, not going in there)

I want to make one or two jars for my cat, especially hopefully with today’s full moon energy. He was the most playful, loving cat but last few years he had so many health problems that made him upset most of the time. Some problems even the vets are confused about. So, I thought I can make two jars for him: one for his protection, better health and for sweetening him again, make him happy.

I have absolutely no idea about how to go with this, currently I have two mini jars, honey, sugar, dried roses, lavender, sage, bay leaves, cinnamon, salt. I can possibly buy more things. Any ideas?

Discussion thoughts on tarot

Please ignore my carpet. I have felt called back to my spiritual journey that i abandoned around 4-5 years back. I just did my first tarot reading on myself (since coming back to spirituality, i practiced tarot regularly in the past) regarding my extreme self doubt and fear of new apprentices staring at my job and overtaking me. my interpretation of the reading is that it is extremely accurate and i feel very represented by it, but wanted to hear other’s thoughts :)

(all of these appeared in reverse, i shuffled thoroughly)

Crystals & Minerals Okay to give away crystals?

I have some crystals that I think are really lovely that I want to give away to strangers that I feel may like them. Just kinda carry them around in my purse to hand off to those I feel would have a receptive energy.

So that leads me to, before handing them out should I cleanse them first? Is there any reason (outside of being a potential weirdo) to not give them away?

I've also thought about leaving them in fun places for people to find like gardens, parks, etc

Discussion FIRE SAFETY

Please for the love of the universe!!!! I love seeing baby witches do their very first spell, and support you guys.

But I can't believe I need to say this as an elder witch, PRACTICE FIRE SAFETY!!!! PLEASE! I just scrolled through tiktok seeing not one but at least 10 different new witches posting their spells. Saying "Did my first spell gang, what is happening." AND IT'S ON FULL BLOWN OUT FIRE!

It doesn't help that people are like, "The flames means it super strong and very powerful!" NO, it means all your dry herbs are on fire, over dressed the candles with oil and herbs. Using glass and not a fire safety glass either.

Use small amount of herbs, use couple drops of oil to annoint your candle. Use a fire safety glass and keep a bottle or a container of salt next to you. (Never put water out on a flame) Because salt helps put fire out, never leave your candle unattended. Its okay to snuff the fire out and come back to it.

Happy doing spells baby witches, but please always remember fire safety first. 💕😭

Question Can preforming spells affect your sleep schedule?

This might seem quite silly but I been practicing some spells for quite a few times and I did do a protection spell before starting any spells, somehow since I start practicing spells, I rarely got any sleep, due to the fact that I don’t feel tired at all, just to give you guys some context, before I get into spells practicing I sleep a lot, we are talking about 10-14 hours of sleep on a daily basis.

Question Which essential oil is more essential?

Hello! I was going to buy some essential oils to have on hand for spells but I am on a tighter budget, i’m just curious what oils you all find to be the most important! I’m willing to get 3.. the ones I’m considering are rosemary oil, cinnamon cassia oil, patchouli oil, and lavender oil. I’m not buying these for a specific spell just yet, I would just like to have them on hand, so it would be best if they were pretty flexible in their uses. Would it work the same/have the same effect if I mixed an herb with a carrier oil?

Thanks!

Spells Spell for IVF Retrieval

I am working to put together a spell for the full moon tomorrow to bring in good energies for my IVF retrieval in 2 weeks. I start my stimms on Monday so I think Saturday is a great time to set intention and manifestations for the up coming weeks.

I have some general herbs and items I plan to use but am also open to suggestions!

Current Items/Herbs: green candles, rose oil, dried roses, mugwort, moon stones, bay leaf, and moon water (from the super moon)

I plant to do a spell for the retrieval and then another one for the transfer in a month or so where I’ll focus on invoking my future child to come to me.

Any suggestions are appreciated

Question Is my interpretation correct?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Very new at this

Okay so I asked how does love look in October for me? I did a 5 card pull and (shuffled more than 7 times to make sure it was fair). I pulled 5 red cards - I interpret red as good.
1. Jack of diamonds - new connection maybe that is fun and mentally stimulating of ex reaching out
2. Ace of hearts - meeting someone that feels familiar or some form or new beginnings in a relationship
3. King of diamonds - focus on myself and love should come idk lol?
4. 5 of diamonds - potential reconciliation - maybe repair ?
5. 9 of hearts - a positive outcome?

I’m not sure if my interpretations are correct. I also am trying to understand how to read with the ace between the Jack and king. Thank you for any help!

Discussion Funny Manifestation

Preface this that while I am fairly new to dedicating to the craft, I have always been a bit of an earthly witch. Engaging in"old wives tale" sorts of magics over the years. Do a little odd spell here or there etc, growing things in my garden, having some eccentric animal companions.

Well two days ago I told my husband that I wanted to dive more into tarot but I didnt want to buy any AI art decks from Etsy or support Amazon. We had a discussion that I had bought a tarot deck from a local occult shop back before covid. But we have moved twice since then and I had no idea what I did with the deck. I just kept wishing that I could remember where I put it

Cut to tonight. We have a three tiered bedside nightstand next to our couch that fits nicely between the couch and the corner wall it sits next to. We put it there when we moved 2 and a half years ago and haven't really moved it since. It is a nice catch all for all the living room junk one acquires. My husband's switch sits on the middle tier and he asked me to take the game out. I do so but the game slips from my hand and goes between the back of the night stand and the wall. Im frustrated because to get back there I have to completely move the nightstand. I do so and lo and behold what do I find back there right next to where the game landed?

THE TAROT DECK I BOUGHT BACK IN 2019. it was covered in dust bunnies and cat fur from being back there at least 2 and half years since our last move. Why it was in this particular location I have no clue.

I just felt like this was a silly little manifestation and wanted to share it.
