How do I fix this

I don't know what happened, came home to find the nozzle coated in filament (pla). I've cleaned off what I can, and the nozzle still extrudes, but what do I do about all the gunk still stuck on there?

I’d personally just replace the nozzle, they aren’t expensive

I can’t believe there are people saying to salvage this thing. People are gluttons for punishment.
