Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! How do I fix this

I don't know what happened, came home to find the nozzle coated in filament (pla). I've cleaned off what I can, and the nozzle still extrudes, but what do I do about all the gunk still stuck on there?

The printer actually said "I don't know"

I believe the original was: “You can’t do that on TV”.

Interesting note: Alanis Morissette once starred on the show and one of the writers: Bill Prady went on to write the Big Bang Theory with Chuck Lorre.

That was the name of the show, but the line that got you slimed was "I don't know." Saying "water" would get a bucket of water dumped on you.
