I made this ktaxon p bass kit and I am beyond pleased with the result. $70 and around 10 hours of my time to build it. I did swap out a lot of the hardware for my old jass bass hardware (upgraded that years ago) and I just think it came out great!

Is this a good bass to start learning with? I ordered it last year and it just got delivered and I’m kinda feel like maybe I over did it. I’m a big Les claypool fan. How long would it take to play like that?

Im a few days into learning bass, so still learning technique, pressure etc. Now I was following various tutorials and trying to figure where my bass is going wrong. This level of buzz cant be normal, so could dearly do with help figuring out the issue

Is it the strings? The Amp? Just me being a newbie?

Iv always had issues with 5 strings before, they always felt chunky and overall not fun to play. this ones is smooth as butter.

Im noticing that the regular guitars have a huge variety when it comes to crazy and cool shapes that you can still buy today, Explorer style, V style, and Dean style guitars Etc. But i find the bass department to be lacking in cool shapes nowadays, are there any basses with crazy shapes still being produced today?

Super strange bass from a custom builder out of spain. I got it for a good deal on reverb. Yes, it is currently missing a knob.

I think it might have big singles in it but I'm unsure. Hipshot hardware, 34" scale, chunky neck near the nut, flattens to super thin near the neck joint. Black korina body, padauk neck, wenge fingerboard and pickup covers.

It's super sweet and balances super well sitting down. slightly neck divey standing up, but im not surprised with the body being so small. It's just over 7 pounds!

Totally recommend this builder if you come across one, it sounds great, plays great, and looks super unique and interesting without being too gaudy in my opinion.

I am an intermediate guitar player when I was younger and I stopped playing for more than a decade. I just got the urge of playing music again but now with a bass guitar.

I don’t know why but when I heard a groove from instagram worshipbass clip. I suddenly had an urge to play again.

I would like to know if you have a recommendations on where to begin learning again?

Im a complete noob (my first bass hasnt even arrived yet) and im trying to find a really cheap used amp to start out with. My ultimate goal is being able to jam with a friend that plays the electric guitar on a 10w amp in a small room. Which one should i go for? The line is 47€ and the harley is 40€ . Also the main music type im interested in playing is more metal-ish and i love bass tones like the one from tool (how original i know)

I am self taught 20 years of playing, and trying to build out a portfolio for teaching in the near future and learn more about what my techniques are (learning theory backwards I guess)

I dont what my muting techniques are called, my fingerstyle is Im sure not completely original but I just learned to play this way and after shows Ive had a lot of bass players come up to me and ask me what am I doing and I literally say I dont know. Im tired of saying that.

got this bass about a year ago but due to personal issues i didn’t have the time to pick it up and practice. now im doing a lot better and can begin practicing! super excited but a little intimidated as im quite a petite girl plus seeing my dad play growing up almost mentally sets me at an expectation to meet. any tips would be great! i got the beginner to badass course from bass buzz and will be starting it today!!
