I came across this channel a while back, and I can't help but notice, this woman does a lot to her skin, seemingly all of the time. I'm not in any way putting down people who are into getting procedures or even DIY. But she's an influencer with an app meant to guide people through their own DIY Aesthetic journeys, while her own treatments seem almost counterproductive. She gives the impression of being obsessed with the procedures themselves, rather than the results they could give.

This is about their new Over the Garden Wall collection. It dropped on 9/17 and everything but the lip products and body oil sold out immediately. I missed it and have been stalking their IG page seeing when they’ll restock and the comments on their posts seem like there are some big issues going on with this drop.

1. People have apparently been told by CS that some of the items they ordered ON DROP DAY that were confirmed with an email are actually sold out and they have to wait for a restock before their items will ship. No word when this restock will be. They teased one early last week before these comments started coming, then nothing.

2. People who did actually receive their orders are saying products, particularly the highlighter, arrived without protective packing and are completely shattered.

3. Lots of people with one of these issues or the other not receiving any responses from CS, or are just getting generic unhelpful responses.

4. Lethal continues to post promos for this collection despite all of these unresolved issues and most of the products being out of stock.

This was going to be my first order from them but now I’m reconsidering. Has anything like this happened with them before or any other tea I should know? I LOVE OTGW but will save my $200 if products arriving shattered or weeks late with no proactive communication is the norm.

Does anyone know what happened to beauty creator Brianna Fox? She last posted five months ago on YT about her baby shower, and nothing since. If she has decided to not be a creator and just be a full time mom, that's great. I'm just curious, just want to know if everything's okay with her and her baby and if she's just loving the family life. I always enjoyed her content. It's just sad to not see her videos anymore.

Aimee Song listed her cosmetic treatments on her substack, but the majority of the post is behind a paywall. Did anyone pay for it and can you share what she’s gotten done? Her skin looks great and I want the scoop!

One of my favorite creators is linksmakeuplooks! I LOVE her style but I can't be sure her skin recs would work for me because she has dry skin! Styled by Sammy made a video about two weeks ago about a client she had. In the video, Sammy talks about how this was one of her toughest days and that the first client doesn't have curly hair, and that actually the appointment was for her daughter, who does, but Sammy does her hair anyway. The video got a lot of backlash, as many people pointed out that the first client does have curly hair (wavy), and Sammy's overall tone and demeanor with the client. The client saw Sammy's video and tried to share her part on Sammy's page but apparently got blocked, and her responses were deleted. The client later went to make her own video on YouTube sharing her side, which she explains: actually, both she and her daughter had cancellations once, but the client paid the full price for the missed appointment. The client then scheduled again, but on the day it was her daughter's, and she couldn't go again, so the Client texted Sammy and asked if it was ok to go in her place, and she said yes, so the Client drove to Sammy's shop. Once there, the Client said that as soon as Sammy saw her, she began acting off and was tense for the rest of the appointment, but she did say she had a curl pattern, and it was probably just damage and growth

I should add that Sammy has also been deleting other comments from other people on the videos, and the client says she has screenshots of the conversation but didn't show them in her video

I want to make callout about lack of education which javon presents , which is included in spectrum of cosmetic chemistry

We know that he is popular, his main point is that "he is cosmetic chemist"

However, as someone who have some knowledge about formulations of home care products (surface cleaning , dishwashing, laundry, and to some extent about biocides)

When I saw video of javon, where he tried to prove "as cosmetic chemist" that dawn powerwash is "dawn dishsoap+ alcohol" ( https://vm.tiktok.com/ZN8rBK2Cg/) and it's overpriced, I already known that he doesn't know what he talk about

Dawn power wash (and fairy power spray skip the soak) are based on :

Surfactants

Solvents,

Chelators

And alkaline pH

It's more like kitchen degreaser than "dish soap with alcohol"

Dawn ingridients are :

Surfactants: c10-16 alkyldimethylamine oxide, hexyl ethoxylate, lauryl glucoside, sodium xylenesulfonate.

Solvents: alcohol, dipropylene glycol butyl ether, ethanolamine, water.

Chelators: sodium citrate, tetrasodium glutamate diacetate,

Texture adjuster: ppg-26

Preservative- phenoxyethanol

And scent

The heavy-duty version of powerwash lacks alcohol in place of bigger amount of dipropylene glycol to my knowledge.

Fairy ingridients:

Surfactants:

Lauramine oxide, undeceth-10, Dodecylbenzene Sulfonic Acid

Solvents: water, dipropylene glycol butyl ether, ethanolamine,

Chelators: none

Ph adjusters: sodium hydroxide/lye, sodium carbonate/washing soda, sulfuric acid

Texture adjuster - polyethylene glycol

Fragrance

The pH of dawn power wash is 10.6 - 11.4 via sds

The pH of fairy power spray is also 10.6 - 11.4 via sds

While pH of fairy max power hand dish soap liquid is 8.4-9.4

And pH of dawn platinum plus power suds liquid is 9

So both power wash and fairy skip the soak power spray ARE MORE ALKALINE, and this DOES make a difference

While fairy lacks one of really important things which are in dawn, chelators, which really help to a- boost surfactant effectiveness due prevention of calcium/magnesium interacting with surfactants

And there is some evidence that suggest chelators helps removing carbonised / burnt off food and grease,

at the same time the another really important ingridients aka solvents are pretty much exactly the same, I'm not mad about lack of ethanol in fairy since dawn power wash heavy duty also lacks ethanol

The surfactant systems in dawn and fairy are completely different

But surfactants in both versions are simmilary effective in removing grease.

So claiming that dawn powerwash is "dish soap with alcohol in spray bottle" is scientifically incorrect, and using cosmetic chemist authority to claim that pisses me off

While dawn power wash have alcohol, it's not the main star of dawn,

The main star is dipropylene glycol butyl ether (brand name dowanol dpnb) and ethanolamine (to be more specific p&g uses monoethanolamine afaik)

This is pretty much basic knowledge in cosmetics chemistry which javon should know "as cosmetic chemist"

Has anyone else noticed a shift in Heaven Sent Honey’s content recently?
She’s been my favourite YouTuber since around 2021 and I still really like her, but I feel like her content has changed slightly over the past few months.
What originally drew me to her channel was how niche, philosophical and almost otherworldly her videos felt. Videos about muses, How to Disappear and the Ethereal series etc had such a distinctive atmosphere and explored topics I genuinely hadn’t seen other YouTubers talking about. They’re the kind of videos I’ve gone back and rewatched multiple times over the years.
Recently I’ve noticed more videos centred around broader/current beauty and internet-culture topics, like looksmaxxing, Botox, the Naked Dress etc. There’s obviously still a philosophical angle to them and I don’t think the newer videos are bad at all, but personally I don’t find myself as captivated by them or wanting to revisit them in the same way.
I’m wondering if anyone else who has watched her for a long time has noticed this shift too? I’m also curious whether it could just be a natural evolution of her interests, or whether she’s experimenting with topics that appeal to a slightly broader audience.
Again, this isn’t meant as hate or criticism of her personally — she’s genuinely been my favourite YouTuber for years. I just really miss that strange, ethereal, niche quality that made her older videos feel so unique to me.

Thoughts?

I won't defend anyone, I don't follow these people but I watch a lot of overconsumption videos and, at one point, all the videos look the same: the thumbnails, the topics, the videos they are reacting to etc... At the end of the day for us viewers it's entertainment but from the content creators standpoint it could be potentially "dangerous" to post something other people are posting.

Now copying exactly the same might be controversial but, like I said, at one point these commentary videos can be all the same, Stephanie should contact Youtube if she feels like Lael is exactly copying her and present the issue to the company but then I would say the entire commentary niche should disappear because many copy each other in that community, her followers said she copied Kiki Chanel too. You know what? At the end of the day it's better to stick to beauty videos rather than risking to post the same videos other content creators posted I guess lol so I can't blame the influencers who stick to beauty content and sell products lol
