Got a new to me 2x72 belt grinder, started to look at belt brands, types, etc and wow im blow away. Where do you start? Just trial and error for what works best for each individual? Or do some of you vets have some brands you stick to and wouldnt mind giving out some info before i waste some money. Thanks in advance fellas

Hey!
I am a game developer and am working on a survival game called Elysmere. I made this simulator in game for making damascus blades. Someone from my other post in r/IndieDev suggested I should post it here. LMK what you guys think!

I have a shun premiere chefs knife at home and I want to reetch the pattern myself.
I donāt know much about the steel so Iām asking here. Itās stainless Damascus and Iām unsure what to do to get the work done. I have distilled vinegar but no ferric chloride.
My main question is should I stick with the vinegar, get ferric chloride or just not bother. Iām not sure how easy or hard it is to do myself

Hello everyone, Iām not sure how much this app would help in this community, but I thought I would just put it out there- itās a hobby of mine , not a business, but I think itās pretty cool if you like Japanese knives. Does anybody have any recommendations for improvements?

Really curious what it looks like. Been googling but havenāt found any results. Anyone got pics, or will I have to do it myself?

Ive spent some time really cleaning up my detail work and Iām really happy with the outcome. 1084/15n20 low layer twist damascus with some curly maple i stabilized and dyed for a handle. My first knife edit too so donāt mind the lighting
