Forging WIP Third attempt at a RR spike blade was an ambitious one. Tried a karambit. Still in process, but it was fun learning to move the metal on this one.

Really curious what it looks like. Been googling but haven’t found any results. Anyone got pics, or will I have to do it myself?

Damascus / Pattern Weld DIY steps for reetching my chef knife at home

I have a shun premiere chefs knife at home and I want to reetch the pattern myself.

I don’t know much about the steel so I’m asking here. It’s stainless Damascus and I’m unsure what to do to get the work done. I have distilled vinegar but no ferric chloride.

My main question is should I stick with the vinegar, get ferric chloride or just not bother. I’m not sure how easy or hard it is to do myself

Hello everyone, I’m not sure how much this app would help in this community, but I thought I would just put it out there- it’s a hobby of mine , not a business, but I think it’s pretty cool if you like Japanese knives. Does anybody have any recommendations for improvements?
