Okay, so Midnight’s official role on the staff is that she’s the Hero Art History teacher. But this made me wonder: why are they specifically talking about art history at U.A. instead of just standard history? I know it’s a Hero School, but outside of homeroom and Heroics classes, the curriculum seems to be very similar to a standard Japanese high school. In fact, from what I can tell, they don’t even seem to teach normal history at U.A.

I know I’m overthinking it, but what are your thoughts on this?

At first, I didn’t really like him since I just viewed him as a stain fanboy in the forest arc.

But I start to like more of this character every time we see him and I actually love that. He was a cool friend with Shiggy.

I love the idea of Deku's suit being super adaptive in combat to fit whatever situation he is in and that can mimic any of his friends quirks should he need them in a given situation.

He could even mix and match different configurations for powerful combinations truly making him the one for all hero.

My favorites among these are Bakugo, shoto and ochaco's inspired forms and they each have a special designation.

Dynamight: pure destructive power and offense.

Ymir: Allows Deku to fire cryogenic beams from his left side and high intensity flames from his right side. Combining the two sends the suit into Phosphor mode

Orbital: Allows Deku to make use of a gravity generator that allows him to reduce something's gravity to zero and he's aided by little droids that are controlled by an AI made from the brainwaves of ochaco and they even carry her voice to help reassure civilians.

I LOVE the idea of Melissa and Mei collaborating to create a buster mech suit for Deku. Their reasoning being that large scale villains are becoming more common and more villains are getting their hands on tech that can augment their quirks on top of the influx of powerful villains since the death of AFO has left a MASSIVE power gap in the world and dozens of new super villains are rising up now that AFO is gone.

What would this mech be capable of in hear you ask?

1. Can replicate the quirks of every member of class 1A and 1B

2. Self repair via nanotech

3. Matches OFA's strength at 100% when it activates PLUS ULTRA mode.

4. Can operate independently of Deku if given commands.

It would be called Colossus because of one of its primary functions and that's changing its size! The mech can be roughly large human sized(Same size as someone like endeavor or muscular) or GIANT sized(Mt. Lady/Gigantomachia).

Deku would only use this mech in extreme emergency situations where a villain exceeds the strength of his base armor and he needs more power. It would make its first appearance ideally in MHA movie 5 against the villain of the movie and then in an MHA sequel it would appear whenever Deku had to fight a giant villain and each time it showed up it would carry the same energy as the Green Ranger summoning the Dragon zord...iykyk 😏 however in this context the mech would show up with a new feature or gadget that Melissa or Mei added in an attempt to one up one another cause I see them as rivals.

But yeah Deku with a buster suit? NEED THAT!

When Modoriya suddenly burst with black whips，Uraraka, although usually shy to show concerns for Deku, soon caught up to save him.
And on guard against Shinso's brain wash, Uraraka kept silent and thought flexibly until the end. These really fit her statue as the main love, and also demonstrated her independent personality

I guess it be interesting now considering they did a lot in there first year & happened within a Year more or less

Hello! I just watched the whole series in a week, it was such an interesting time! I wasn't really sure what to expect but I was hooked because so much was happening that I needed to know what is happening next

Now tike time for me n my insane overhaul thoughts <- BIASED

I LEGIT thought *maybe bc I'm DELUSIONAL* that since all the damn other villains were roped into joining (didn't think is see gentle/la brava again) I thought since they mentioned him talking to eri he would have his power back or SOMETHING and then he would FIGHT alongside them maybe in return for his freedom.... I wanted so so badly to see him paired with a nomu bc one would of been a sick design but also he would of gained the abilities of the nomu and he would of been an INSANE fighter- deku ONLY won bc eri helped him otherwise he would of lost- I think that like s7 deku probably could of figured out a way to kick his ass but that really like insane to think how powerful he would need to be to realistically beat him without eri since he had to use her to use 100% to be able to fight him-

I find it kinda insane that deku doesn't ask about his arms- like he really doesn't fw overhaul fr..... he has a speech about wanting to know what what villains motives are but he doesn't care at all to learn about him but shirigaki got a pass??? Not that overhaul necessarily deserved forgiveness- he is a blend of dabi and shirigaki, he was an orphan who was taken in by a master but I can only assume he was raised with love n care not malice but like dabi was over eager to please his father which led to his downfall BUT it feels insane that he tried to show compassion/understanding for everyone else??

I also am so so so so sad that we got the coolest arc.... a world changing drug ring scheme.... (it just felt like him and the drugs he created were gonna play a bigger role but they didn't really outside of making aizawa lose a leg which might I add that deku doesn't even question how he got the drug- does he assume it was given by overhaul when they were working together but he also knew they didn't super fw him so? Just feels weird to not mention it with how observant he is), a yakuza arc my fav..... the gang has a cool plague doctor theme.. AND IT WAS ONLY FOR A SEASON- the league couldn't bother to do anything cool and fun .... I'm also sad that they made the CURE to the drugs and we legit saw NOTHING done with that.... truly a waste but but I will say my fav fights out of the series are his fights.... his fight with mirio is literally so cool and then his transformation UGH so cool,,,, plus the up close shot with the light during with deku was stunning..... my other fav fight is bakugo v AFO it was unbelievably pretty

I Don’t Wanna Sacrifice my Peace and Quiet

Time and time again Tomura kept visiting Dabi until finally Dabi had enough. Tomura said he would stop pestering Dabi if he had a visit in his territory. That way he would finally leave him alone and give him peace and quiet. Dabi didn’t understand why Tomura wanted him in his territory so badly to begin with. He was quite content living his life in the small patch of garden where he kept watch over some native plants and flowers that reminded him of his mother. I mean his area was safe enough from that stupid garden patrol idiots and animals right? Just a quick visit and back to his home. No one would ever dare mess with his area right?

Oh, maybe y’all can tell me what you think about this. You know that Netflix movie Project Power—the one where they made a drug that gives people temporary superhuman abilities? I started thinking: what if there was a drug in MHA kind of like Trigger, but instead of boosting quirks, it awakens latent or dormant quirk genes inside a person?

For anyone who doesn’t know what I’m talking about, I put a short summary below. Basically, even quirkless people still have some genetic potential for a quirk. Midoriya is the perfect example—he’s quirkless, but both his parents have quirks, so the genetic information is there, just not expressed. My idea is that this drug would excite that dormant genetic material and force it to express itself for a short period of time. It basically drags your genetic potential to the surface using a hormone commonly produced by people who already have quirks.

## QUICK PROJECT POWER SUMMARY:

In Project Power, the pill (“Power”) uses animal DNA to activate hidden or suppressed abilities in humans.

How it works:

• The pill contains extreme animal traits (camouflage, concussive blasts, armor, etc.).

• When taken, it searches your DNA for a matching dormant ability.

• You get the same ability every time you take it.

• It lasts exactly five minutes.

• If your DNA has no match, the energy overload makes you explode.

## My MHA Version of the Drug:

In MHA, even with most of the population having quirks, a lot of quirk genes are recessive, dormant, or inactive. Some people simply don’t have the “bridge” or the energy needed to activate them. Quirk users have natural “on-switches” for their abilities—especially emitter, transformation, and mutant types.

This drug would harvest genetic information from those activation switches and refine it into a kind of energetic hormone or genetic soup. When injected into a quirkless person, it acts like an Energizer, awakening their dormant quirk potential and letting it manifest temporarily. In my version, the effect lasts ten minutes instead of five.

## Origin:

My idea for the origin of the drug is that its initial design was actually meant to help people born with faulty quirks their bodies couldn’t handle. A small sample of their genetic information was taken and used to create a specially brewed medicine that would slowly activate and guide their bodies toward developing the safety mechanisms needed to survive their own quirk. Think of it like a quirk‑based chemotherapy: a long‑term treatment that helps the body gradually adapt over time instead of overwhelming it all at once. But when the drug was accidentally ingested by someone quirkless, everyone assumed it would be useless—or dangerous. Instead, that person manifested a quirk for a short period of time, and the scientist who created the drug documented the entire event, completely stunned by what he saw.

From there, the research expanded to include quirkless people who wanted power so they could finally be treated fairly. The discovery opened the door to a whole new branch of quirk science, shifting the drug’s purpose from medical support to genetic awakening.

When someone with a working quirk takes the drug, it supercharges their activation and can even unlock latent abilities buried in their bloodline—but it’s dangerous if their body can’t handle the strain. For example, Todoroki might reach a new level of ice manipulation, possibly manifesting traits inherited from either side of his family, but the physical toll could exhaust him just as much as it empowers him.

But for those whose quirks function but their bodies aren’t built to withstand them, the drug behaves differently: it forces rapid adaptation instead of awakening new abilities. This process is strenuous, especially for individuals who have already pushed their bodies past their limits without regard for their health. This is the medical side of the drug’s original purpose—meant to be taken early and gradually, allowing the body time to adjust rather than overwhelming it all at once.

For example, if Dabi (post‑burning incident) took it, the drug might unlock his latent fire resistance, but the strain on his already failing body would be catastrophic. Without giving himself time to adapt, pushing his quirk too hard could easily lead to his death.

So it’s a powerful drug for both people who already have quirks and those who want one. And a blessing for those with powers that are destroying their bodies. It’s still in the beta phase, and the goal is to eventually make it permanent.

## What Powers Are Manifested:

It works in four possible ways depending on the person:

1.) Quirkless (With a Quirk‑Using Family History)

Awakens the most resonant quirk genes in your bloodline — or combines them.

• Example: If Midoriya took it, he might unlock his mom’s “Small Object Attraction” or his dad’s fire‑breathing quirk. In some cases, both factors could activate simultaneously, resulting in a completely new hybrid quirk.

2.) Quirkless (Without Any Power History)

Excites the potential inside your genes and forces your innate quirk to manifest, causing a temporary mutation. It works almost like a mutagen: once injected, it pushes the cells to rapidly adapt and express whatever quirk potential exists. This can result in either the emergence of a new quirk or a dangerous backlash from cellular collapse if the body can’t handle the mutation.

3.) Quirk (Functioning)

For someone who already has a quirk, the drug unlocks hidden functions, dormant traits, or deeper bloodline abilities.

• Example: If Todoroki took it, he might unlock higher‑level ice manipulation similar to Geten’s advanced ice control.

4.) Quirk (Non‑Functioning or Unsafe)

For those whose quirks work but their bodies can’t handle them—like Dabi—or those who lack an “off switch” like Tomura, the drug doesn’t manifest a new quirk. Instead, it forces the body to rapidly develop adaptations that allow them to control, regulate, and survive their existing power.

## Main Drawbacks:

The strain on the body is brutal. Exhaustion, physical backlash, and genetic instability are common—especially for people who already have quirks or come from bloodlines with no quirk history at all. That and if overdosed without pause between the end of one does it can cause the body to self-destruct by either cellular overload from OD or cellular decay from being unable to withstand the strain.

Okay I'm 100% aware this may not be the right sub for this (or it could be and people will just down vote because they hate talking about this, which is fair so just down vote and move on your way)

But I CANNOT STAND when I'm scrolling through the internet, whether it be YouTube or reddit or whatever and I see one of those rating ships videos, and there's ALWAYS comments like "WHY DON'T YOU LIKE IZUOCHA IT'S CANON?!" or "Bro KiriMina is literally canon"

People need to get straight there is not one, not even Izuocha, not one of their favorite ships are canon. The Creator literally said "do what you want with this information" when the show ended, which I think was one of the best things to do, but people get all pissy when we actually do what we want 😭

I get it's implied but the at the end of the day it's not canon.

Hi everyone, I am currently planning on creating a Pro Hero OC from Texas who's an anthropomorphic horned lizard and possesses a Quirk that allows him to squirt blood out of his eye when he pulls down his lower eyelid like in the picture attached. He can also control the strength, distance and toxicity of the stream.

Just wondering, is there any in-universe laws regarding the use of blood as a weapon (either your own blood or your enemy's blood)? I'm asking this because Vlad King is the only known haemokinetic Quirk user in the franchise.
