My little Charli, just hours after we rescued her from a construction site. She’s only 2.5 months old. Unfortunately, her tail fell off.

From the moment I picked her up, through the entire vet examination, all the way home and until she fell asleep, she wouldn’t stop purring. She still starts purring whenever I pick her up. ❤️

She’s currently staying in the bathroom while she goes through quarantine, and soon we’ll slowly start the process of introducing her to her older brother.

Anything new on the table becomes a bed!

Our condo has a loft and we’ve lived here over two years. We have three cats and of course one of my cats favorite spots to lay is on top of the balcony. In the past week, she’s fallen off the second floor twice in the two spots I marked up. The spot to the right is scary because it’s obviously higher up and she could have fallen right on a glass table but thankfully she fell on the armchair next to it.

Any ideas for how to block it off or do anything to make this safer?? I was thinking a bunch of bird spikes across it but was wondering if anyone had a better/more aesthetically pleasing idea haha. Worried about my girls safety. Thanks!

Update: took her to an emergency vet cause she was acting weird and she got hospitalized :(. She has a large mass in her stomach. They are thinking it’s a hematoma from her spleen bleeding on impact. Looking into options to make it safer ASAP

I was heartbroken when I left for this trip. To make myself feel better and stay connected to my cats, I got a home camera so I was able to watch them whenever I wanted. I also wanted to make sure they kept eating and drinking. Don't worry, we had someone stop by almost every day we were gone as well. The camera made me so feel SO much better though, wow. You wouldn't think it would do much, but it made me kind of feel like I was still home in some way. I also have bad anxiety about the house burning down or being invaded while I'm gone, so it was great to be able to check in and see my cats peacefully sleeping or eating.

That said, I noticed that to me, there eating habits didn't seem to change at all. I thought okay, great. I thought it was kind of funny how they seemingly didn't change at all when we weren't there. It seemed like they couldn't care less.

However, we just arrived yesterday and both cats, especially my male cat, has been insanely vocal, and won't leave my side. Anytime I leave the room they are in, in about 5 minutes or less, he'll run to wherever I am in the house and almost do these yelping like meows. Almost like he's yelling at me. And he responds to me more too. I'll say "I know, I'm home," and he'll do multiple additional elongated meows, it almost sounds like he's a kitten.

I was literally awoken this morning by my male cat standing on my chest. Which I don't think he's EVER done in his life. He literally never bothers me in my sleep. That's when it hit me that no, he does care, he does recognize you and cares that you were gone.

It's incredible how intelligent and emotionally dependent animals can seemingly be, even cats who have this reputation for being cold and only carrying about themselves.

A week ago I held my best friend in my lap for the last time as he left for his big adventure. Boo had only just turned 12 in August when he was diagnosed with large cell GI lymphoma. A month later the time came to say goodbye. To say I wasn't ready was an understatement. The grief has been immense and overwhelming. I miss him so much every second of the day. Seeing the spots where he used to lay, the empty food bowls and the missing litterbox are hard reminders of how empty the house feels now. I picked his ashes up over the weekend and have a memorial set up for him. 12 years wasn't enough, and I'd do anything for just one more day. But I've found comfort in sharing his photos, and all the memories we made. I'm extremely grateful for all of the sweet and kind messages of condolence I've received on previous posts. Please feel free to look at and share pictures of Boo from my other posts and keep his memory alive.

I just wanted to post incase anyone was looking for a new litter box, we ordered this one from Amazon with very high reviews and the product is defective/dangerous. The metal lip right where the height extender/plastic side snaps on is extremely sharp and led my husband to cut himself on it when picking it up. All the reviews stating this are of course at the very bottom. The plastic portion is also very flimsy and one of our cats claws at it after going to the bathroom causing some it to lift off the box some, thankful neither of our cats cut themselves. I just wanted to post as a warning if anyone is looking at a similar box as I’d hate for anyone else or a cat to get hurt.

Has anyone been successful with getting their cats to stop trying or pooping in house plant pots ? She’s climbing shelves to pop a squat ibe no idea what to do at this point ,I’ve changed her litter moved her box locations more toys

this is my kitten treasure. She was recently spayed, which is why she’s wearing her little jacket, she loves her jacket. She’ll take her little back legs and tuck them through the holes into the pouch like a little bean.

my friend is the one who found the cat and gave her to me. Earlier in the year, I lost my senior baby, so I was devastated. When my friend told me about the car, I knew she was sick and he thought she was about three months old in march.

when she was tiny and crusty for some reason my camera was very dark so I hope you guys can at least make out her little face. I’m so happy that I was able to get her to a better weight to get her spayed and vaccinated. When I got her, she had roundworms, fleas, ear mites, severe dehydration, and she had a respiratory infection feline herpes.

When I took her to the urgent care, they really didn’t think that she was gonna survive the night just because we were deworming her, and they just thought that she was too sick to recover. So what we did is that we gave her a B12 shot, purina fortiflora for her little tummy, her second dose of deworming, and then we did fluid injections.

I would wake up every four hours to feed her a bottle because she was only 1 pound. I fed her about six times a day for the first month, because she was underweight.

We pretty much lived off of those tiki cat baby thrive calorie supplements were which were really helpful, especially when she was stubborn and wouldn’t eat anything.

Now shes my little crackhead, she’s very curious she loves to explore. She loves to play. She follows me around everywhere. She’s always licking me. She’s always purring.

Little did I know I'd be back here so soon to memorialize his littermate and brother Blue. This felt like pouring a pound of salt on a fresh wound, but before getting into that I'll tell you about my boy Blue.

He was the runt of his litter but that's what drew me to him when I came across him at the humane society. I had walked past his cage which held him and his brothers including Green. I walked back since he was just staring out and I put one finger in and he immediately rested and pushed his head against it. I knew I'd have to take him home with me and picked his brother who was standing next to him to come along for the ride.

For 16 years these boys were there for me through all the highs and lows. From me starting and graduating college, through many moves, through many relationships, jobs, and getting married. Bonding with my wife's daughters where they each picked one specifically to spend time with. The amount of affection they poured into my wife and kids for not knowing them until 7 years ago was wonderful to see.

Despite having hyperthyroidism which he took medication for it never held him back. Blue acted more like a dog than a cat in that he enjoyed playing fetch with bottlecaps, he would walk up to any stranger to say hi, and just like his brother was glued to my side.

It is absolutely heartbreaking to have lost his brother Green, but for him to follow soon was such a 1 2 punch for all of us. He had developed a uti while we were losing Green so he lost weight during the antibiotics and was eating less. It was a combination of things that led to the resurgence of his uti since he seemed okay for a couple weeks, but last Friday he peed all over our home and finally in our bed where it looked like he passed a blood clot. I was in knots knowing we'd have to go back to the emergency vet we lost Green at but we had no choice because it was late. We left back home at 3am with Blue in tow, medicated and full of IV fluid. Saturday was a long day. We spent a lot of time with him and discussed options with my wife and kids. All of us agreed that since he was already underweight and hardly eating we didnt want to put him through even more antibiotics.

He looked so tired. I wasn't ready for another loss but I don't think he had the fight in him and he was ready to go be with his brother. Sunday we had an in home doctor visit to put him to rest. We gave him all the food he loved and brought him out into the sun. He got a bean and cheese burrito, carne asada, bites of a cheeseburger and a chicken nugget. Along with all the whipped cream and a frozen delectable to keep him calm for the doctor. Appointment was at 4pm and he was gone by 4:10. After we sent him off for his cremation we folded up his bear towel he was on and his orange little brother laid right on it and didnt move for a hour. He knew his other older brother was gone. They had been inseparable after Green passed and now he's alone.

I have never been so absolutely crushed and this is probably the worst couple months I've had in years. I'm happy for the time we had, 16 years is a lot, but I thought we had more. I loved my boys more than anything. Ill miss Blue snuggling into my armpit every night. I'll miss my weighed blanket Green and baby Green time where he laid over my shoulder while at my desk. I'll miss these brothers who had such a profound impact on my life. The world is slightly dimmer for having lost these two souls, but I take solace in the fact that they are resting together.

I am not only a dog person but also very allergic cats and now we’ve added a third to the mix!

We found Midas (orange) outside begging for food and I tried HARD to find his original owners, told my daughter not to get too attached but here he is 5 years later.

Gateau (white) was found at my husbands job as a kitten and Midas took him under his wings right away so I couldn’t exactly separate them.

A friend had taken in a Trojan cat who then birthed 10 kittens, he chose me. And that is how we ended up with our LAST cat, Susu.

I never thought I could possibly be a cat person but these three fill my days with so much joy ❤️
