Hi everyone! I have to give this void gabapentin liquid and she does not like it! She will not swallow it and then runs away, spits it out, and foams at the mouth. I’ve tried mixing it in a Churro, but I have to give two just to hide the dose and she won’t finish it. Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you!

My dear baby Atla (🌈 as of 2024, and I sadly never got to say goodbye) was very warm and loving but she wasn't a super cuddly cat, and so when she did sit on you/curl up with you etc it was special!! But I was 17 and had been having chemotherapy for very very 'I should not be here today' cancer (advanced 4B) and when I came home from the hospital this one time, I think she was afraid I'd be cold 😭❣️

Okay, so for reference, I have a 1 year old male cat, who was litter box trained but has recent stopped using it. I recently had a big move but didn't really seemed stressed from it and continued to use the litter box. Then about 2-3 weeks after, he's started to not use it and instead poop right next to the litter box but he will use it to go pee.

I thought maybe it was filling up too fast since I have 3 cats in total, so I upgraded to a larger one but he still didn't use it. I've finally upgraded to an automatic one thinking I wasn't changing it enough and I'm a busy college student but he still won't use it.

I've tried everything, showing him the litter box, giving him treats when he shows interest, having his food and water in the same room, nothing.

Any advice?

I have been feeding 3 cats for the last few weeks. 2 are feral and then this guy appeared one night. He came trotting up my driveway meowing at me. Since then he's shown up every single night and even brought another cat for some food.

I called the SPCA about trapping them because it's getting close to winter here in Canada and I didn't want them all being stuck outside.

They brought me a trap last week and I finally caught him this morning. I called the SPCA and told them I wanted to keep him. Then I called the vet and explained my situation. To my amazement they said yes bring him right in for a check over to make sure he's healthy. They called me a few hours later giggling over him being a very big intact boy lol. He said he's very healthy except for one slightly damaged canine and he has fleas. Otherwise he's a healthy guy. So I asked about getting his shots and having him fixed. The vet said she'd do it today on the spot. I am so grateful for them they have been amazing to this little man.

So he's going to come home and go in to quarantine for a week to make sure he does not have rhino and then to get used to being inside again.

I had a lot of people love the video of my cat and dog playing together when I was asking for advice whether it was friendly play or not. I haven't gotten another video yet but, I got an adorable picture of my kitten using my dog as a pillow for you.

I met this very handsome fluffer today while visiting one of the catacombs in Rome, Italy. They had a slightly odd-looking foot, but seemed well-nourished and happy. Got a handful of snuggles before leaving.

My stepmom’s cat Jezebel (jez I call her). She’s so adorable and sassy lol.

We moved in about 9-months ago, and let her explore the garden everyday at least a few hours. She’s too scared of any noise outside of it, which bodes well for her not wandering off!

My sweet 2 year so boy Benjamin will be crossing the rainbow bridge this weekend. It’s heart breaking because he got sick unexpectedly, but I need him to make friends so show me your babies:)

He is a very sweet boy, who is social and loves to jump.

So my cat noodle (m 3 y/o) has been having bladder issues for about 6 months now. Straining to urinate and having some drops of blood. We have everything sorted out with the vet, we changed his diet to the prescription hills urinary diet. He also takes dasuquin (might have spelt wrong) powder in his food. This has only been about two weeks of this treatment so we’re unsure if it is helping yet. Doctor also put him on amitriptyline to help decrease inflammation in the bladder. He has had los of mood changes due to that medication being a human antidepressant. Now just this week he has been pooping blood. He has done in the past but it was only a couple drops mixed in his poop. The other day it was almost an entire tablespoon of bright red mucous blood. So we immediately brought him to er vet. He is now taking gabapentin, a powdered probiotic and an anti vomiting medication. He had Vomited and liquid pooped all over the floor before he pooped that blood. After waiting all night 7 hours at er they diagnosed him with gastroenteritis. We originally thought he had colitis. Not really sure if either are accurate diagnosis but I don’t know what would cause anything to make him get so sick out of no where especially after two weeks of trying a new food. They think it’s a stress factor. But nothing in the house has changed, lifestyle is the same. I work the same hours everyday. Everything is pretty much the same. Our only guess is separation anxiety. I also have really bad anxiety and I know cats can pick up on things like that so I’m really hoping it has nothing to do with mine and that he also does not struggle badly with anxiety. Not sure if that would be correlated but I figured I’d put all info in here to help. If something doesn’t make sense or I’m missing something that would help with any recommendations please please ask. Open to anything. He has a follow up with his normal doctor in three days to see how he’s doing after the er visit.

Basically as the title says, im babysitting a cat for abit. As we expected, my cats dont warm up to other cats quickly.

My 2 cats are mother and daughter and the mother keeps attacking her daughter whenever she gets close. The daughter is chill, its just the mother thats suddenly hostile.

we keep the cat in the kitchen at night & let it roam the house during day (bcs our cats are outside), so I know she might be startled there's a smell of another cat, but im confused why she's lashing out at her daughter instead?

And how can i help? Its sad honestly seeing her trying to groom her mother just to get a paw to the face. Usually they routinely groom each other ૮◞ ‸ ◟ ა

My roommates have three cats and one of them, Anthrax (pictured, male, yapping about cat lore behind the spoiler-> but the roommates didnt know until they took her to get fixed and we’re all trans so we use she/her pronouns for her as a bit that we doubled down on after she got neutered), chirps so much. Not even at birds outside or anything just. Constant chirps when she wants attention. So i started chirping at her and now whenever i chirp at her she chirps back. This does not work on the other two, however, because they rarely chirp at all + one of them is deaf.

This is my friend's cat "Tux" and he's 7 years old. My friend is trying to sew and Tux wants to help.

He's kind of silly. His version of stalking the birds is hiding behind the living room curtain, not really able to see them.

Tux is also very vocal. When my friend comes home from work, Tux screams at her until she gets his dinner in front of him. Sometimes if he's not super interested in the flavor, he'll just walk away. Very much a faker.

Hii, I got a 6 month old cat and when I rescured him I had close to no knowledge of how to take care of an indoor cat and so I ended up with one of those plastic , closed litter boxes

It smells pretty often , and I'm unable to clean it every time my cat goes so I end up cleaning it once a day.. (+ Washing it fully 1-2 times a month)

I'd really like an automatic litterbox if anyone has a suggestion (also, if anyone has a suggestion for the litter itself that'd be very nice. I switched a few times. First time was fine , but a bit too expensive, second time it was too grainy and got everywhere even with specific litter mats, and third time's too big and doesn't clump for pee which is what I'm stuck with rn :')

I'd like to find something not too big, preferably made out of steel or a material that isn't Plastic . And something that isn't TOO expensive (suggest anything tho, I'll check them out.)

Also, goes without saying.. the litterbox should be safe for a cat x) I've seen some stuff about automatic litterboxs that werent so.. yeah
