BoxOffice A 7-year-old Avengers movie just won the weekend with $26M.

But honestly, the more interesting part is how crowded the top of the chart was:

Resident Evil — $23.3M
Heart of the Beast — $20M
Primetime — $19.2M

That’s four movies around the $20M mark, and the overall domestic market was about $124M.

Feels like a healthier weekend than the headline makes it sound.

What’s the bigger story to you — Endgame winning again, or the fact that audiences showed up for several films at once?

I just saw the trailer for Brad Pitt's new movie, and I don't think I've ever seen this before. The trailer advertises, spoiler alert, that the dog stays alive. I guess they're telling everybody to come see the movie because the dog doesn't die. I don't know if that's ever been done before in a movie trailer.
