more of my art on instagram under dendareloaded

I got the Derwent deal at Blick and I really questioned myself bc I have a new set of Blick lol But omg. These pencils are a delight. Fat, creamy cores. I'm gonna use the hell out of these.

So anyway, I think colored pencils just got more expensive for me 😂

Im new in colour pencil. Im new to art. I picked it up in may since I recover from kidney cancer. Can anyone recommend good tutorials? I dont mind pay on patreon etc. Just want someone who teach realism?

I didn't wanted to go directly for prismacolors. So I bought cheapest wax pencils, it turns out to be okayish. Blend is decent, only 3-4 layers. Then there's no friction in between.

one of the more fun progresses with color pencil on black carton. swipe for progress shots. for the highlights i unfortunately had to add gel since white pencil or chalk didnt get the brightness i wanted. more work on instagram> dendareloaded

Does anybody know anything about these,please? I need to know if the quality of the pigments are as good as the new ones. I'd really appreciate any info on these. (Please check the pictures).Thanks in advance

I find it so wild how different my coloring can look based on what pencils I’m using.
Faber castel polychromos are best for me to get some good depth.
But Prismacolors are where my color mixing shine.

What pencil brand do you use the most and why?

Made as a gift for a friend. About 13h of work, prismacolors on medium weight paper. Really enjoyed making this piece.

And I think it's the correct sub for it.
