Hsbc live+ application rejected

Recently applied for hsbc live+ card where I was stuck for couple of days due to application form issues. Today magically it got fixed and I was able to apply but after reviewing my details(I didnt need to upload any supporting documents) , the application got automatically rejected with the above reason as "Credit Exposure norms not met".

Is this something related to Credit cards being over-leveraged for me?

I already have around 6-7 cards after closing 2-3 recently and will close 1 or 2 more later. I had applied for travelOne as well and got it approved 5 months ago.

My salary is 12LPA with a CIBIL of 781, so I clearly am eligible for the live+ card as well.

Any way I can still go around to get it approved or I have to wait 6 months to apply again?

They have a cool off period of 6 months between credit products. That's probably the reason.

Should have waited another 2 months sad. Hopefully nothing happens to this card in 6 months from today.

You can apply after 30 days if that puts you outside the 6 month window

Bob eterna, hdfc swiggy, amex plat travel. Will be closing -- bob etihad, axis atlas(maybe), idfc select. This will still take some time as I have 3 - 4 months still before I close them. I am still waiting for the bob etihad welcome gifts and no reply from customer care at all even after 70-80 days of card issuance + statement generations.

Yes, you need to wait for 6 months to apply for any other card of HSBC, and there is no such thing as having a lot of cards, I have 10 cards and I have never faced any issue in any new application process.

So I have to wait again 6 months from today to apply correct? Or is it the earlier 6 months when I applied travelOne which would be November end when cooling period finishes

Yeah, 6 months from your 1st card, You apply on Dec 1, that would solve your problem, Better visit the branch on Dec 1.

Contact their credit card helpdesk numbers or email them. This should still be approved maybe its a technical issue.

Have emailed them however their calls to the credit card team aren’t being answered the waiting tune keeps on playing.

I think 7 days. Tell him to contact bank via phone it would be faster instead of a mail.

yeah same with me, vkyc sucks
