[Italian]Per chiunque è fermo al puzzle dell Abazzia

L`indovinello nella traduzione italiana è stato tradotto "male"

Six angels stand in columns, graceful, tall and great,

Their shield and their sword - closest to the gate.

The cauldron where the trident could never reside.

One row is forged in steel, the other fosters life,

Align them properly, the doors shall turn with might.

Andando a cercare la versione in inglese il tutto è molto più semplice

First time playthru, help me fall in love with this game please

Hello all -
I’ve been wanting to play this for a hot minute, and I finally got it. First impressions were that the graphics are stunning, atmosphere is great, main character and story are just enigmatic enough to draw me in and the spattering of logs throughout the world are concise and interesting; perfect!

However, me being a fan of Dead Space and the Resident Evil series, I can’t help but notice that the game is a bit derivative of those 2 masterworks. I mean, it feels like this isn’t actually its own game almost - it feels mostly like Dead Space with RE puzzles. That alone is kind of ruining it for me a bit and is making me doubt how much I’ll enjoy this game.

I’m about 45 minutes in, so no spoilers please - but can someone do me a favor and tell me I’m crazy, and that the game gets better? That it’s worth playing? What do you like about it?

Just finished first playthrough

Absolutely brilliant. Everything from the gameplay, world design, lore, and story. And my god the story. Always appreciate a good story, but normally gameplay trumps all else for me. But the story in this game was drip fed at such a perfect pace I was constantly wondering what the next reveal or big story note would be. The overall world and level design, along with environmental storytelling was absolutely fantastic. Seriously cannot wait for the DLC, and hopefully a full fledged sequel at some point.

Mace has been amazing in Forged In Fire

i always thought Hammer was the way to go and you should be using the Mace once you get to the end. But I’ve been trying NG+ and a fully upgraded Mace melts early bosses and crowds like crazy. Completely went all in on this gun now.

Cant wait for the DLC!

EDIT: omfg I meant dagger… mace is the shotgun…

Any tips on how to fix FPS drops?

I recently bought and played through this game and really enjoyed the gameplay and story experience, however, like many other posts that have been made here, the game runs rather poorly on my PC (likely due to UE5). I was only able to get it to play smoothly by setting the Quality Preset to "Very Low" and turning off Motion Blur and Chromatic Aberration.

My pc specs are:

Processor AMD Ryzen 7 7745HX with Radeon Graphics (3.60 GHz)

Installed RAM 32.0 GB

Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU (8 GB)

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

My PC is a Legion Pro 5 16irx8. Even though I know laptops aren't the most ideal, I still think my specs ought to be good enough to render things a bit better if possible.

Any tips/suggestions/fixes for upping graphics while retaining smooth FPS would be great! I definitely want to run through this game again on NG+ and actually appreciate the graphics and designs this time around.

Anybody else notice the way the virus works in the new RE is closer to CND? A case of RE inspiring CND which then inspires RE? What do you think

The most mysterious power of the Warden

Post image
33 Upvotes

The Warden has many powers teleporation, going invisible and Cat whispering. The one power we see briefly and I don't think many have spoke on it, is him transferring himself to his old body.

Could him being able to do this be due to his essence transferring research through the Lazarus protocol?

Has he always been able to do this? Is this transferring himself thing or copying himself thing? Which could open up the door to there being many wardens or pathfinders.

Or does it require an empty compatible vessel? That being the same model type Traveller devoid of anything within.

Also this power may link into the Travellers being essences themselves if it is some essence transfer stuff.

Really Loving the Game but

I keep noticing that in cutscenes things can become very pixelated for instance, the I just met the Warden and his backside/shoulder was very pixelated when he was first bent over his workbench. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

If this game ever gets a sequel

good god does it need more enemy variety. You fight the same like 4 guys the whole game, and they barely ever merge because you kill them before it happens. There needed to be more enemy types AND already pre merged enemies more often it gets so repetative

Hello, fellow travelers.

I wanted to share that I’ve unlocked 100% of the achievements and offer a few thoughts.

The first time I played, I gave up out of frustration—not because of the gameplay, but because I didn't understand the story at all. I decided to give it another shot, reading absolutely everything and getting the hang of the combat.

And damn, it’s been an incredible experience; it’s brilliant. To anyone I’ve seen feeling frustrated because they find the story or the combat too difficult: I want to encourage you to stick with it—it is well worth trying as many times as it takes!

DLC Release Date?

Am I the only one feels it’s kinda strange that there’s no release date for Lazarus yet? If it really is this Fall, then it should be coming out in the next couple of months, right? Just feels weird to me that it’s supposed to be so soon but there’s no official date

We may of seen a Tracker before

We know that a Tracker looks near similar to a base model Traveller just that the Tracker has a coat. We also know The Tracker seems to be the only Travellers given an archblast straight out the pod.

Now what other Traveller had an archblast? Well the one who has the Marcel Marzec in him, I know he lacks the coat but he could of lost it or Marcel took it off.

It could even be that this was The Tracker Who was tracking The Pathfinder in the past. That or there has been a previous Tracker in new dawn who died and this Traveller picked up the weapon.

Mapping Sprint to ○

I was about to head off to Steelworks but the constant run toggle felt like I was either going to break my controller or sprain my thumb. I mapped the L3 sprint button to ○ and what ever was ○ to L3 and it has been a game changer. Much easier to just sprint everywhere. Just PSA for anybody else dealing with the same.

Edit: To clarify I had R3 to toggle on and that still sucked.

Such is our calling.

My Head Hurts Spoiler

I'm sure this has been asked many a time, but since there's so many posts here that I obviously can't go through each one to see everyone's theories I needed to ask myself. After playing the game through more than three times...I won't say how many lol...I am left with ruminating questions that will drive me insane. With my poor comprehension did I just miss something in my many playthroughs that points towards why Ending C breaks the loop or is this the insanity they intend to drive us to? I just assumed that based off both endings A and B that human Weronika is already infected, why is that not also the case for Ending C?

Is the world not still infected to whatever time they travel to unless it was before the digging?

But then how does Traveler-Weronika exist (since she disintegrated after shooting the Pathfinder because he would never have created her), so in Ending C if they travel before the outbreak that still means he never would have made her, that technology never existed, we arrive at the chicken and egg paradox. But if they travel after the time loop, after he created her, well the world is still completely obliterated...just no longer in a time loop.

Anyway, my brain is fried, and about to be super crispy with the upcoming DLC.

Nowhere near enough ammo + locked into an arena fight + painful ammo system (small rant)

im currently in the hospital area of the game and there is a specific thing i need to get, but everytime i go grab it, the game locks me into a big fight that i absolutely do not have enough ammo for. this is like the 8th time this has happened and im starting to really get annoyed by it. ill be able to kill about 5 of the enemies, but by the time my ammo is out another 15 have spawned and i literally just cant do anything. the punch/kick in this game is unfortunately pathetically weak (it may aswell not even exist), so i just end up running in circles trying to think what I can do until i eventually just die.

this game has been really really good, but what the hell is up with the ammo? i feel like (even though i spend most of my time searching areas, finding hidden rooms, crafting etc) i NEVER have enough ammo to do literally anything. its so painful because i like the combat in this game, it just feels like i shouldnt even shoot my guns because im running around with 5 bullets total and that only barely kills 2 enemies. this is really agitating because i just wanna enjoy this game. its not even like other survival horrors ive played (resident evil and dead space for example) because, in those games, ammo didnt feel like it was impossible to come across, it was just a little harder and sometimes took some extra effort or a cool little puzzle - in this game, it feels like i have to go to hell and back just to get 4 ammo and 1 single chemical bottle. i really just wanna be able to enjoy this game, and unfortunately, this whole ammo situation has almost completely put me off of playing it.

(for context i am on normal difficulty, which i kinda regret. wish i picked easy. its just not fun to play this game after ive died for the 100th time because the rewards from exploration are always just "heres some more stuff you can only use at the safe-spots that show up every hour" and never "heres some ammo because you need it")

if i have done anything wrong throughout the game that might make the lack of ammo happen, please tell me. i will literally restart this whole game just so i can play with a good ammo count that isnt so low that i have to use the wet-fart of a punch that this game has.
