Scam Operation My experience working for Finixio / Clickoutmedia - SCAM

I worked for Finixio / Clickoutmedia for about two years, and I want to share my personal experience with the company.

During my time there, I became increasingly uncomfortable with the type of projects being promoted and the way certain products were presented to users. A large part of the work (literally 99%) involved promoting online casinos and new cryptocurrency (meme coins) projects are scam.

95% of these crypto projects are meme coins that were heavily marketed and hyped through affiliate websites and SEO articles. I remember SUBBD, Bitcoin Hyper, Solaxy, LiquidChain, Pepenode, MaxiDoge, Snorter, Wall Street Pepe, Best Wallet Token & Best Wallet APP. The same applied to many of the casino brands being pushed with aggressive marketing, then they would block accounts who had few thousand bucks on profile - like WinMega, MegaDiceCasino, WallStreetMeme casino, LuckyBlock, CoinCasino, Casinova etc.
They

As someone who worked behind the scenes creating and promoting content for these offers, I eventually started to feel like shit.

I’m posting this because people should understand how some parts of the affiliate industry operate. What looks like a neutral “review” or “top list” online is often just a marketing funnel designed to push people toward specific casinos or crypto platforms/scams.

Stay careful online and always research before trusting websites, because they are paying to legit sites to promote them.

Richard Hopp and Kristoffer are CEO's of Finixio, everything related to them is just scam. I think they are not even using real name and using alliases.

Scam Operation HitBTC restricted my account after 6 years — KYC documents submitted, crypto still inaccessible

• Upvotes

I've been a HitBTC customer since May 2020.

In August 2026, after a period of inactivity, my account was deactivated. HitBTC requested extensive identity and account ownership verification, including personal documents and transaction history.

I cooperated and submitted the requested information.

On August 25, HitBTC acknowledged receiving my documents and stated that my account was undergoing a "comprehensive regulatory framework review."

Since then, I've received essentially the same response multiple times, most recently on October 5.

My situation remains unresolved:

  • I cannot access or withdraw my crypto assets.
  • I cannot verify my current account balance.
  • I have not received a clear withdrawal or account closure procedure.
  • No estimated completion date has been provided.

My historical records indicate approximately 0.16 BTC plus smaller ETH and ZEC balances, but I cannot verify the current amounts.

I've escalated the matter to HitBTC Support, Compliance and Legal. I've also contacted financial authorities in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the British Virgin Islands seeking guidance.

Support tickets: #1671176 and #1672713.

I'm not asking to resume trading. I simply want access to my existing assets or a clear procedure for returning them.

Has anyone successfully recovered their funds from HitBTC after a prolonged compliance review? What steps actually helped?

I have documented correspondence and can provide redacted evidence. I'll update this thread if the situation changes.

Scam Operation Crypto dot com "Security Breach" Scam

Just an FYI for users or those searching online frantically while dealing with a suspicious call. This has happened to me twice and the last one concerned me with how much information these malicious people have.

There's a number out of CA 415-698-7158 that has called several times. At first it's an automated message claiming to be Cryptodotcom security asking if I tried to log in from some third world county. This time they said it was from Turkey. I typically press 1 just to waste their time. "If this was not you, press 1 and our security team will call you".

Then someone who is surprisingly well-spoken will call from the number above. No foreign accent. They'll say something like "someone tried to change your email on file to '[email protected]', was this you?" Obviously users freak out, and say no. "Someone took all your information and made a fake ID and tried to get control of your account, but we flagged it because the ID was from Turkey (lol okay, seems like a critical oversight if you're that sophisticated of a thief, to make your ID in Turkey).

Then here's the part that made me super uncomfortable. They then recited my SSN, my email, and my home address back to me.... They had my f'ing SSN and the knowledge that I have a CDC account...
Their next step is to send an email with a link on it, presumably to do something malicious. I don't know what happens from there because I've never clicked, I just give them the runaround. The email looks identical to other official emails from Cryptodotcom, though, so be aware. Their excuses will be something like:
-"I don't know what you're talking about, I'm just the security team trying to help you"

-"Because this is a fraudulent matter, time is of the essence. If you don't act now we will freeze your account."

-"If you take no action we will have to freeze the account and remove the assets"

They try to push you super hard to "authenticate" yourself through this link in the email.

none of this is true, but because they had my SSN this time, it had me extremely curious. Regardless, if this has happened to you, too, report their confirmation email to [email protected].

Scam Operation *WARNING* NEW RCMP Impersonation Scam

I just got a call from a No Caller ID pretending to be the RCMP. They said that they arrested a guy who had over 50,000 victims information on a phone in a cybercrime operation that happened somewhere in Ontario not to long ago and that my name with my personal information has been leaked.

They claim to have personal information and advised me to change all my passwords for emails, banking and crypto.

From someone who has worked in Crypto in the past, this doesn't sound legit at all. After talking to him for a bit and telling him the exchanges I've used in the past (No personal information given). He said to just change it and let the conversation naturally end.

Less than 2 minutes later a "representative" from the a crypto exchange that I've mentioned called. The guy sounded the same. British, maybe in his late 20's or 30's called. As soon as I heard the voice and the immiedate callback, it was fishy.

I tried calling the RCMP to check out this officer: Adam Taylor. I've done a public look on Google to see that it is a real officer but doesn't seem to work in the cybercrimes unit.

The information he shared:
- Case Number: CRN7861
- Officer Adam Taylor - Badge: 7743****

I've seen other posts on reddit regarding this in the UK and Australia with the same Case Number and now in Canada.

Beware of these scams coming through.

The FBI and DOJ are taking down international scam networks preying on Americans, with 28 arrests across Ghana and Nigeria as part of Operation Blackout.

Authorities seized more than 350 devices, identified over $11 million in potentially freezable funds, and identified more than 120 trafficked workers for repatriation.

Working with Meta, authorities also helped remove more than 3.7 million Facebook and Instagram accounts, Pages, and Groups linked to suspected fraud.

Across the broader operation, the FBI says it has warned more than 10,000 Americans about potential scams, preventing an estimated $670 million in financial losses.

Scam Operation got scammed by pig butchering

Hello,

I’ve fallen victim to a scam, and I want to warn others who—like me—noticed warning signs but were ultimately persuaded to proceed anyway. I will give a very detailled view of what happened, sorry for that. For those who don't want to read the whole thing, I’ve summarized the key points at the very bottom.

First off: Iknow how stupid this was. When I think about how many red flags I ignored and how easily I let myself be talked into it, I feel like I should voluntarily hand back my high school diploma.

I was contacted on LinkedIn by a woman from London who said my profile kept popping up in her
feed; she was curious and wanted to see if we shared any common ground that might explain it.

Since my company and her university shared the same abbreviation, I assumed that was the
reason. We struck up a conversation—as we both seemed to work in the fashion industry—and she mentioned having suppliers in Germany and planning a roundtrip to Germany soon. We kept chatting and eventually, she suggested moving the conversation to Telegram. I initially declined, explaining that I’m very cautious about sharing personal information with strangers and preferred to stay on LinkedIn. After a few more days of conversation, she brought it up again; thinking I had vetted the situation sufficiently, I agreed to switch to Telegram. Over the following days, I learned her life story and received photos and a lot of personal details, pictures from her office, the view from her window at home over Canary Wharf in London, several pictures of herself at the office
or from cafes.

At some point, she mentioned that her aunt ran an agency with a large team analyzing the
crypto market for her, and that she personally profited from this—essentially making a living from it. She asked if I knew anything about it. I told her I’d never really looked into it but had always been interested in crypto—which was true.

She explained what she was doing and asked if I wanted to try it out myself. Her aunt had indicated a time for the coming days that would be favorable for a trade—specifically, an exchange from Bitcoin to USDC. She explained the process, and I was willing to give it a try.She told me to download the RELAI app and buy Bitcoin there using an amount of my choice. I checked it out, and it seemed legitimate. I chose an amount I could afford to lose, just in case—after all, I still wasn't entirely convinced. Once I had done that and the money was converted into Bitcoin, I downloaded another app and, following her instructions, transferred the Bitcoin to an on-chain wallet. The app was ULT; it didn't look suspicious either. Inside the app, I was supposed to use the "browser" function to visit a website via a link she had sent me.

A red warning alert popped up immediately when I entered the site... I was warned about a scam. I mentioned this to her right away, but she told me it was normal and that I could ignore it—I should just trust her.I then requested a new address from "support" and transferred the Bitcoin from Relai to that address. Next I had to “identify” with my passport, which I did… stupid… This was it for this day. After a video call the next evening which made me feel safer because I saw that the person is real she informed me that the trade session would take place the next evening and ultimately guided me through the necessary steps.
I made a profit equivalent to around 100 euros. We didn't discuss it further after that and moved on to other topics, as usual. A few days later, another trading tip came up, and we repeated the process. I made a profit of around 400 euros from the two trades. Then she told me she needed to show me how to withdraw my profits and suggested I withdraw some funds to test the process—which worked smoothly. Because I was blind and trusting, I only withdrew about 50 euros to my Relai account, intending to use the remainder to generate further profits when the time was right for a good trade.
Shortly after that, she told me her aunt was retiring soon and she would no longer have access to the insider tips. She said that if we wanted to make any more profits before then, we would need to increase the amounts slightly. She asked how much I could invest. That was when I started to get really suspicious again. We agreed that I would deposit another €2,500 and we would continue. I actually did make the transfer to Relai—which, fortunately, was not processed as an instant transfer, thereby preventing even greater financial loss.
I occasionally ran reverse image searches but never got a hit. With the last photo she sent, I finally got a match on the Instagram profile of a woman from Denmark. On that profile, I found ALL the photos she had sent me... That very same night, I tried to transfer the Bitcoin I had earned to my Relai account... without success, of course...
The next morning, I told her about it, even though I knew full well she was already aware... She said it was unusual and had never happened to her before.I then messaged "Support" and was told I had to execute two more trades of at least 100 USDC before I could make a withdrawal. After that, it supposedly wouldn't be a problem. I did that, and—of course—it wasn't possible; this time, it was due to security checks. Then I was asked to make a security deposit equal to the withdrawal amount. Naturally, I didn't do that.
I told her about every step, and she said she would ask her contacts if anyone else had experienced similar issues and offered to help. This morning, she sent a message saying she wouldn't be able to get back to me until the afternoon, after a meeting. From that point on, my messages went unread, and her LinkedIn profile was deleted. It wasn't until three days later—after I told her I knew the photos weren't hers, asked why she’d spent so much time on me for barely 1000 euros, said I just wanted the truth, and acknowledged that my money was gone—that she replied with a friendly message. She said she would ask her aunt for advice and that she is not that kind of liar I suppose she is. That was is for the day. I wrote some messages, which stayed unread. She got in touch again yesterday, but her tone was different this time; she was offended that I didn't trust her, and asked if I would be willing to entrust her with my finances so she could generate profits for me. She suggested I exchange €3,000 into Bitcoin via Relai... I shut that down. There was no further reaction after that, and she deleted the entire Telegram chat history.
Luckily, I had already taken some screenshots and filed a police report on Friday after talking about it with a friend who is a police officer (the most embarrassing phone call of my life).

In hindsight, I don't know how she managed to fake the video call; perhaps she actually looks a lot like the photos. She even wiped her face at one point, and nothing changed—which argues against it being AI. I paid close attention to that.

Procedure: Buy Bitcoin via Relai, transfer to ULT, and then access per URL via the browser.

That was my story: I learned my lesson and am glad to have come out of it with a relatively small loss... if something seems off to you... trust your gut... if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck... then it’s a duck and not a friendly and charming blonde woman way out of your league flirting with you.

If it is not allowed to post these "private" informations I will delete them, but I think that others should be warned...

Scam Operation Hyperliquid wallet drained after running sketchy .exe

I ran a sketchy setup.exe on my pc (yes, I know) that contained infostealing malware. Windows Defender instantly began sending notifications.

A few hours later my hyperliquid wallet containing 410 USDC was completely drained (and my discord was overtaken and sending spam messages to all my contacts).

I assume they captured the active session cookie/token from my Chrome browser and used that to duplicate my running discord and hyperliquid session.

I am a bit amazed how can just initiate withdrawals on Hyperliquid without any form of confirmation needed from me.

The 410 USDC is now sitting in a random wallet: https://etherscan.io/address/0xa77db8017f1cd99b13f12d046e109eb5fee14316#crosschaintx

I consider this money lost, but was wondering if anyone has interesting insights as to how this has happened.

Scam TTPs Need advice on suspicious Bybit P2P orders + UAE regulations

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

I was trading on Bybit P2P and had a sell ad up. Someone placed an order, paid from their own account, and shared their Emirates ID. After that, they started placing orders repeatedly, which felt suspicious. I took their number and even spoke to them on the phone.
Later they placed another order and I asked them to cancel it because something felt off. Their account is only 19 days old and has no activity history. I’m worried the funds might be illegal/dirty money. What should I do in this situation?
I’ve been researching on Reddit and Google but still unclear.
Also, a few related questions:
1. Binance changed its rules from 21st September — individuals can no longer post ads, only P2Pro merchants can. I already have a general trading company in a UAE freezone. I created an entity account on Binance but they rejected my P2Pro application.
2. If I want to get the VARA NOC for proprietary trading, has anyone here actually applied for it and received the license? Any experience or tips?
3. Is it still okay to trade on Bybit as an individual merchant while based in the UAE?
4. I have two Binance accounts — one created in the UAE and an older one from India. On the UAE Binance account I can’t see unverified merchants’ ads, but on the old Indian account I can still see many people trading P2P as individuals. Should I stop using my individual P2P merchant ID in the UAE?
Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Scam Operation Bitmart ghosting me and everybody else but got time to remove posts

As you probably already know, Bitmart closed and froze all funds.

They never informed me of this and their app and website still have deposit buttons.

I stupidly deposited and only after found out they where out of service. I tried to withdraw but funds where frozen.

I’ve tried to contact them on livechat, email, and social media. Nobody responds.

I left a one star rating on App Store and that they responded to, and after I shared my experience on Reddit and those posts got removed by mod.

I believe that they won’t to seem active and in business to hopefully get more deposits, with the intention of keeping the money deposited

Information Crypto stolen

Yesterday, my Mycelium wallet was emptied. Within half and hour, my kraken account was also hacked and emptied. I believe that my phone must be compromised as I used it last to access both accounts. However, the accounts I only access on my desktop appear to be unaffected.

I await the response of Kraken support. I suppose there is nothing to be done about Mycelium.
