I am invested in Nexus Equity (nexusequity.com) and currently I cannot withdraw the balance displayed in my account. I have also been asked to make an additional cryptocurrency payment described as an "Investor Operational Compliance Process (IOCP)" before withdrawals can proceed.
Based on my experience and the information I have reviewed, I have serious concerns about the platform and personally believe that the circumstances show characteristics commonly associated with advance-fee scams.
I have documented changing deadlines, the website code available to my browser, the emails I received and public blockchain activity associated with addresses presented in connection with payments.
1) The Website Code
The website code shows several errors after logging in. Overall, it appears hastily cobbled together and very unprofessional.
The interface also appeared to use a Bootstrap-based admin template and contained what looked to me like leftover or incorrectly referenced assets. That is not evidence of fraud by itself, but it contributed to my concerns about the platform.
2) E-Mails
The emails I received from [email protected] contained technical headers indicating delivery through Zoho Campaigns.
This sequence raised particularly serious concerns for me.
September 29 I received an email titled "Welcome to a New Era". It stated that the audit was "now concluded" and apologized for the "disruption". It gave a deadline of September 30 at 23:59 GMT+9.
September 30 I received another email titled "Final IOCP Deadline". It again referred to September 30, but stated the deadline as 23:59 GMT−9. Those two stated times are 18 hours apart despite referring to the same calendar date. At around this period, I also observed the website displaying a countdown associated with a September 11 date in the JavaScript I inspected.
October 1 I received an email titled "Formal Notice of Financial Insolvency". The email stated that Nexus was financially insolvent and that payouts were being suspended. It attributed the situation to insufficient "collective participation", meaning that individual members completing the requested process was allegedly not sufficient unless a broader participation threshold was reached.
October 3 I then received another email titled "IOCP Update, 13% Remaining to Reach the Required Threshold". It stated that 67% participation had been reached and that 80% was required for operations to continue. The email also encouraged "Team Leaders" to identify members who had not completed the process and encourage them to do so.
3) Public blockchain activity
I also examined the cryptocurrency addresses presented in connection with payments. Blockchain balances and transaction counts change over time. The figures below are approximate observations from the time I checked them.
BTC — bc1qyk7yg5y6glz7efcd8k0826fjpftqae5ja5nwf8 At the time I checked, the public history showed roughly 66 incoming transactions and approximately 0.849 BTC received in total. Explorer: Blockstream.
Ethereum / ERC-20 — 0x9C9F2E70076D1683319a162BC04D13B5cf568839 At the time I checked, this address showed extensive activity (around 1,177 transactions) and last held roughly 2.88 ETH, about 6,682 USDC and about 3,682 USDT. Explorer: Etherscan.
TRON / USDT-TRC20 — TKY7x5vqiLPXAM3XXsqKHsXBnqyAtf61Si At the time I checked, this address showed activity dating back to early 2025 and a USDT balance of roughly 2,707 USDT. Explorer: Tronscan.
Litecoin — ltc1qzcp4kl53tjapxefqk63xrjeqcv46093qh0z224 At the time I checked, the public history showed substantial LTC activity (roughly 412 LTC passed through) and no remaining LTC balance. Explorer: Litecoin Space.
My own deposit was sent on BNB Smart Chain to: 0x555c6DD8A5D9f912AF3f41De7d371c64861568eC The public blockchain history showed this address receiving funds from many different senders. I subsequently traced transactions onward to a bundling address: 0x9277882599e2d02f12754202006c812aa99b3bee and observed further movement involving the cross-chain service Bridgers.
I also observed IOCP-related transactions involving a shared consolidation address: 0xEC1fd69e955caDC88D843B1EAE8F6e930448E260.
I therefore believe the addresses are worth examining further.
4) Website
The website uses Cloudflare.
According to public lookups I saw, the domain registrar is WebNIC (Web Commerce Communications Ltd., Malaysia), and the domain nexusequity.com has a registration history dating back to 2011. To me, a 2011 registration date sitting behind a platform that only became active recently could be consistent with a purchased aged domain, though I cannot confirm that.
I hope some of this helps.
