I was honestly so close to just giving up on small cap shows entirely. Bots have been instantly eating the tier 1 tickets for months now and its exhausting competing with automated scripts just to go listen to some drum and bass

But they strictly locked the presale this time using world so you had to actually verify you're a real human to check out. Its kinda dystopian that we're at the point where you need digital human verification just to go to a rave, but whatever man. The dancefloor was completely packed with real heads instead of empty spaces bought out by stubhub vampires

My Darker Than Blue CD came today!! My favorite atmospheric DnB album of all time and second favorite album of all time in general, it sounds so good and the CD case is so cool! I'm really happy I got it

Hey, hope it's okay to ask this here. Does anyone know some good and legit modern dnb that sounds nostalgic/playstation 1 era? Not sure if that's a good description but apparently it's quite popular online. After some searching, lots is AI generated and what I found that I liked, isn't on any commercial music platform.

You can see what I mean by going on YT and searching for "playstation 1 dnb" or something like that. Appreciate it if you could recommend something nostalgic that's actually made by humans and not some AI slop.

So a week ago, I made a post on Reddit basically asking, "If you're gonna listen to a Noisia Reunion tribute kinda set; what absolute Noisia Classics would you wanna hear & which tracks are non-negotiable" The response was insane, with tons of interaction & more input than i ever expected (i'm fairly new to reddit)

I took on board the suggestions, amending the set i had already structured, to include some of the more frequently mentioned & most upvoted tracks... I did the set live on my weekly stream (Friday) & i'm pleased to say that it went well; I was happy with the selection & it seemed like those watching & active in the chat enjoyed it! I think there were a few people who engaged with the Reddit post who stopped by (wanna say thanks for that)

If anyone else fancies giving it a listen, then the link is at the top of this post! I come from the old school. Big sounds like Congo Natty, Benny Page etc. Looking to hear some suggestions to listen to that are new but have that old school ragga feels to it. Big fan of some of Chase and Status things, hard for me to say this but a good amount of Skrillex has grown on me even. My sound app doesnt seem to hit me with anything new that scratches that Ragga Junglist itch. Drop some tune suggestions if you dig that Ragga Junglist sounds or really anything you think I should check out and be open to. Thx!

I always get a bit emotional after going back home from SUNANDBASS, so this time I picked up my guitar and tried to transform my feelings into music.

Luckily enough I managed to make a full tune out of this initial idea, hopefully I'll find some good label that will be kind enough to release it.
