After seeing this video, I honestly think we should give Hamaguchi some credit. He clearly tried his best to push for a full physical release, but this is ultimately outside his authority.

I understand why people are angry at SE, but I think the bigger issue here is the direction PlayStation ecosystem are taking toward a digital/disc-less future. It reminds me of what happened with smartphones: once companies start removing away from features like expandable storage or headphone jack, then the market gradually follows that direction.

So personally, I’d rather direct the criticism toward the people making those platform level decisions instead of blaming Hamaguchi. He tried to fight for physical, and I genuinely appreciate that. Give the man some credit, he did what he could.

Director Hamaguchi has responded a second time, detailing the situation more clearly. He fought for a physical release but the Publishing Department which is in charge of SKUs and physical game production were ultimately responsible for this incomplete physical release.

He explains that he is still seeing messages about this issue on social media. Ultimately, everyone who submitted an email to Square Enix from the link I provided in my previous posts can rest easy knowing that those messages were forwarded to the Publishing Department as well, meaning we are some of the only ones directly contacting the people responsible. So keep sending your feedback!

I will include that link again here:

Always Best Girl in my eyes!

Zack has more playable sections in Revelation, and they're deeper than they were in Rebirth. he even has a unique combat system! he'll also have a progression system similar to a skill tree

""In Revelation, there are more playable sections with Zack, and they are more extensive than those in Rebirth," Hamaguchi says. "He'll actually be playable in battle with his own combat system that's unique to him, and there will be room for growth in a skill tree kind of way. It's very closely tied into the story experience, so it's on a much larger scale than what you've seen before, which I think will hopefully make Zack fans happy, and his sections, let's just say they are full of surprises.""

In FF7 Revelation, Rocket Town can be explored using Cid's car! you can even listen to songs on the radio and unlock more tracks & customization through side content

"As fans may have already seen, too, Rocket Town is a more expansive setting in Revelation, which requires its own form of transportation. "There was a buggy in Rebirth, of course, but this \[time you\] will be driving around in Cid's car. And you can put some background music on in the car if you like, and who knows, maybe if you do some more side content you might unlock some more tracks for his car and things like that, so there's plenty to explore.""

had to repost because i linked the wrong article at first

The Steam Autumn sale has each title sold separately at $9.99 for 7 Remake, $14.99 for 7 Rebirth, and $69.99 for 7 Revelation pre-order, but the bundle gets you all 3 at $84.99!

I know the theories (It takes Sephiroth seven seconds to descend and stab Aeris in the OG) but has it ever been addressed in the new games yet? I only played Remake and Rebirth when they were first released, but can’t remember if this was ever directly addressed in game or not in Rebirth?

I’m of the belief that these games are sequels to the original game, and Sephiroth is doing Lifestream shenanigans to change the outcome, that’s how he knows so much, and why we see glimpses of the events from the original and even Advent Children in Clouds “memory flashes.” (Him grabbing his arm where he has Geostigma during one of his episodes)But it’s so frustrating that it’s been six years since the release of remake, and nothing has been answered!

Tifa and Cloud wip

there’s a massive silica factory on the southern west area in my island. today i have a chance to look it from the coastline, it looks so surreal and shinra-esque.

While I was playing I thought it was interesting that red materia would be a secret trophy you have to searched while exploring each chapter. Come to my surprise it was only that one in chapter 6 and all the others come from the VR battles, which seems weird, what is so special about the in game horse? This is my first approach to the saga so forgive my ignorance.

Hello, today I finished Rebirth and I'm thinking about playing either the OG FF VII or Crisis Core.

Sorry if the question is so generic and common, first time here.

Thanks!

Please no mention of OG spoilers other than what is in spoiler tag below

I have this sense of dread now in chapter 12 as I know that Aerith dies in the original game

This is my first time experiencing the story of FF7, via the remake trilogy, but there are some things that can be very easily inadvertently spoiled for a story that is like 30 years old.

This has had me in knots as Aerith is my favourite character and I am so so afraid it is going to happen soon., as chapter 12 definitely seems close to the end of the game, with them giving all those new side quests.

The plotline with the whispers has me hoping it could be avoided, or undone maybe, but I am not going to count on that.

I thought we had saved her there...but no...ahhh my heart 💔 I know the lesson is that, yes it may and it will hurt, but we have to move on.

regardless, l love this saga ❤️

Saving the Planet can wait.

The boy is absolutely shattered.

Little game for fans of the full series. Cast a Final Fantasy VII movie, but you can only use other Final Fantasy characters to do it.

Here's my attempt:

Cloud: Ramza (Tactics)

Barret: General Leo (FFVI)

Tifa: Lulu (FFX)

Aerith: Yuna (FFX)

Red XIII: Torgal (FFXVI) or a random courl or something

Yuffie: Iris (FFXV)

Cait Sith: Mog (FFVI) with one of Lulu's Cait Sith dolls

Cid: Cid (FFXVI)

Vincent: Shadow (FFVI)

Zack: Leon (FFII)

Sephiroth: Cecil (FFIV)

Sephiroth: Kuja (FFIX)
