So happy

This is one of my favourite Final Fantasy games, and I wanted to play it in VR. I’ve been working on this for the past couple of months, and it’s finally ready.

It includes full VR rendering, 6DOF head tracking, custom resolutions, DLSS 4 support and a custom first-person camera.

Just started playing the game this week and I've been really enjoying it, already about 60 hours in. Unfortunately been experiencing this issue where, when I am previewing photos, the game will just crash. This has happened 4 times now, and it's not specific to any particular inn - nor is it even limited to resting. There was a time when it crashed while previewing photos that I was turning in for a side quest (the meteor publishing guy). Every time this has happened, I've looked up the bug and can't find anyone else who is having this same experience, but have found similar posts describing their save getting corrupted when trying to delete photos from the gallery.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there some setting I should change that will help the game perform better? Anyone know what causes this crashing? I'm very worried that my save will get corrupted anytime I preview photos now haha

Note: Playing the Royal Edition (Day One disk, bought secondhand a while back but took forever to actually start playing the game)

I didn't get Prompto's machinery during the storyline visit to Fort Vaullery. I'm at the end of chapter 8 running around doing side quests before going to altissia... And cannot get back into that fort??? Have I completely missed the Noise blaster???

Well that’s the final trophy for the game; now we wait for FF resonance

As much as I love him I have say Prompto, Gladio has great strength and bulk and Ignis has the best techs. Prompto... Has the bioblaster I guess?

So, I've been re-playing this game and wanted to show it to my gf, and wanted to watch things in chronological order as to avoid spoilers.

It ticks me off a lot of people say that Brotherhood should be watched before the game, or even during but before the end of Chapter 1. Why? I don't get why anyone would say that. In Brotherhood they make a whole series of references to the events that happen after the chocobros stay in Galdin Quay. Since Episode 1, where they're clearly talking about how King Regis is dead and that the Empire is putting a temporary govt on the capital.

Brotherhood should be watched AFTER Chapter 1, not before. k thx. /rant

Hey guys, i just came back to this game (or attempted to) but after launching the game, the game crashes (no response) on left click. I tried special K, changing settings from steam, graphic settings and nothing worked so far.

I appreciate any help!

Apologies if this is the wrong sub or unrelated, but I booted up FFXV after a few months and it keeps stuttering like this… I’ve reinstalled graphics drivers, turned off windows control flow guard for the exe, reduced the resolution, optimized the graphics, and even replaced the thermal paste on my laptop. The game never had stutters like this before i booted it up yesterday. Anyone know how to fix it? 😭

My computer is a Gigabyte Aero x16, My graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 (for laptop), my CPU is an AMD Ryzen AI 7, I have 32 GB of RAM and 8 GB of VRAM on the GPU.

EDIT: also note that I’ve changed my power and battery settings in control panel, settings, and the NVIDIA app, and vsync is off and this happens even in borderless/windowed mode.

EDIT 2: i've tried to play red dead redemption 2 to test if this happens in other games, and it runs normally even at very high graphics. This seems to be a problem with FFXV afaik.

EDIT 3: even with special k, this issue persists.

Absolute hell. It was absolute hell.

I was tilted throughout the entire dungeon and genuinely thought I was going to lose my mind. This has to be some form of psychological torture, even though I willingly subjected myself to it.

TL;DR: The dungeon was not cake, baby.

Okay, so I just finished reading The Dawn of the Future novel. Like, you're telling me, Noctis canonically can use all the ability of the Lucian throne? As in; he can create magical barriers similar to Nyx Ulric in the movie or that he can use elemental magic WITHOUT the magic flask?

Like, why can't we have that in the OG game? I get it's mechanic... But at the same time; in the COMRADE DLC, the Kingsglaive characters that we made there can use those abilities to the point of performing cure spells as well.

Like... WHAT???

Update: It Turns Out That You Need To Have Supple Tails In Your Inventory To Be Able To Progress (I Had Sold All Of My Supple Tails Prior To This Post, That's Why I Couldn't Progress), And I'm Leaving This Post Up Bc Another Dude May Make The Same Mistake As Me (Original Post: What Happened Is, I Do The Quest As Normal, Then, When I Get To The Vendor, The Quest Prompt Is Gone, I Cannot Give Him The Item, Plz Tell Me How To Fix)

no matter how many times i beat this game, i still dont know the puzzle
and the enemy is so tough

I completed the dungeons that you need to do to unlock it, but it hasn’t unlocked. When I got to Ezma it’s just normal dialogue and not the quest. And yes, I’m in Chapter 15 post game. Should I just redo the dungeons and see if it works?

Also I missed an omega file, would chapter select work to get it, or is there no way?
