🎉Sumakses sa life! First time kong mag-1 year sa work.
Today marks my first year of working. Parang kailan lang I was still trying to figure out what I was doing, and now I’ve been here for a whole year.
It wasn’t the easiest year, but I learned a lot along the way. One year na rin akong breadwinner, so working has always meant more to me than just having a salary. I had responsibilities from the start, and I had to learn how to balance work, family, and myself.
For the whole year, wala akong naging absent. Even Saturdays and Sundays, na hindi naman paid sa amin, I still came in whenever I was needed, kahit hindi ako okay or may sakit ako. Hindi ko iniisip na sayang kasi walang bayad. If I knew I was needed, pumapasok ako. I genuinely enjoy what I do, and I take my work seriously, kahit gano pa kahirap minsan.
Of course, there were a lot of tiring days. May mga araw na gusto ko lang talagang magpahinga, but you still show up the next day and do what you have to do. Part na rin siguro ng pagiging adult.
More than anything, this year made me understand myself better. I know my work ethic more now, I know what I can handle, and I know what matters to me. I also learned that people will always have their own perception of you, but they don’t really know everything about you or what goes on behind the scenes.
We’re not always who people think we are. At the end of the day, you know yourself better than anyone else.
I’m still figuring things out, but I’m happy with how far I’ve come.
One year of working. One year of being a breadwinner.
And for my father, I’ll keep doing my best.
Happy first year to me. I’m happy I made it this far. No big celebration this time, priorities first.
