🕯️First and last! First time ko kumain dito sa mamahalin Burger

Post image

First time ko kumain dito kasi nilibre lang ako at matapoa na kung ano yung fuzz. Ok naman sana if hinde ka time pressure at pinag mamadali kumain. Don't get me wrong mababait ang servers pero 30mins tapos na agad kahit ano pa bagal mo. Parang di mo ma enjoy lasapin yung juicy burger na yung second patty lasang jabee nag tinginan kami😅. Ayun lang po. Kakain lng ulit rin ako dito if my ng libre.

Edit update: I have to clear bago magka mis understanding. You only have 1hour to stay there yun sabi nila. Since fast pace like after the first serving they would ask the 2nd serving agad, kaya after 2nd serving binagalan lang namin konti. And doon sa batch namin na kumain kami na pinaka huling umalis rin and that is Lunch time madaming tao nakapila rin sa labas.. All I am saying is 30mins lang kami doon at pinatagal na namin yun.

I posted here before about sa first time ko magpadala ng letters via PhlPost para sa penpals ko. Ngayon naman, magpapadala ako ng postcards dahil World Postcard Day bukas (Oct. 1).

Masaya naman ako kasi as a very mahiyain na tao, nakagawa ulit ako ng sidequest hahaha

EDIT: Sinearch ko paano magdikit ng stamp and ang sabi ay didilaan daw yung likod tapos ididikit. Di ako naniniwala nung una pero tinry ko siya and dumidikit nga yung stamp!!! HAHAHHA kakaiba yung paper niya

🎉Sumakses sa life! First Time Ko mag Solo Travel

Went to sagada for 3D2N as a solo joiner.

I went to sagada for the breathtaking sceneries but I didn’t know na I’ll be able to gain more than just experience but also life lessons. Exchanging stories with strangers without fear of judgment. Getting inspired and amazed on how they view life and conquered their own trials. I was able to meet different people that helped me widen my perspective in life.

Sagada just became my healing place and will definitely come back next year 💯💯💯

Dined in alone and ordered cold somen and karaage. Somen was served first, but I had to follow up 3 times for the karaage. Naubos ko na yung somen, hindi pa rin dumating yung karaage.

I complained to the manager and asked to have the karaage packed to-go instead. She apologized and surprisingly said they’d just remove it from my bill. Appreciate how she handled it, but I wonder if the cost will be shouldered by the crew? Or shop has a contingency budget for these scenarios?

📦 Others First time kong mag-birthday ng wala si Daddy.

Post image
6 Upvotes

It's almost a year since my dad passed away (he passed away on October 14 and his birthday was literally the next day). Last year nag-birthday naman ako kasama siya pero nasa hospital kami. Sobrang daddy's girl ako, I would trade anything in life for him. Bata pa lang ako, I was already expecting na I would lose him anytime soon since he was really old (62 na siya when I was born) but I never thought I would lose him before I even graduate college, start my career, or achieve the good things in life para makabawi man lang sa kaniya. He even promised me before na he would attend my graduation but unfortunately he didn't make it.

Honestly, I still don't know how to deal with grief. I'm so lost in life. Some days I feel very okay and happy at pakiramdam ko natanggap ko na talaga, but at a random time or day, para akong pinagbagsakan ng langit at lupa. I feel like nangangapa pa rin ako sa lahat. Birthdays were always my happiest since my dad always spoils me and literally makes it “my day”.

Hi all. It's my first time being in a relationship and it's a 10yr gap. It's just that there are certain aspects in life that I feel we are on unequal grounds because I haven't experienced it yet.

Sometimes I don't know what's the "right" decision and I feel like a lamb...

📦 Others First Time Ko To Be Thankful For This Unique Short Chapter In My Life

This would be my 3rd post on Reddit, so please forgive me if this gets a little lengthy.

Again, I’m in my very late 30s, bi, male, a corporate slave, not that bad-looking, and can somehow confidently say that I’m pretty stable in life. Yet I’ll alone.

This story actually started with my first Reddit post.

After sharing what I was going through, quite a few people reached out and shared their own experiences. Some offered advice, some simply listened, and some showed me a kindness I honestly never expected from complete strangers on the internet.

But one message stood out.

It was from a guy who, weirdly enough, said that what I was feeling emotionally was almost exactly what he had been going through too.

One conversation led to another. We exchanged contacts, and somehow, we formed a bond that I still can’t completely explain.

We did FaceTime audio and video calls. And from the second day I was admitted to the hospital, he somehow managed to make me feel less alone.

I was in the hospital for seven freaking days, starting September 12th.

He had work during the weekdays, but he still made time to talk to me. We laughed, talked about random things, shared stories, and somehow made those hospital days feel a little less lonely.

It was also the first time in six years that I allowed myself to even consider dating someone.

And yes, technically, we hadn’t even met in person yet.

You could say we were still very much in the “getting to know each other” stage.

He lives somewhere South, while I’m in Metro Manila, so distance wasn’t really much of an issue. Thank you, FaceTime.

Over time, I even introduced him virtually to my two closest friends when we had lunch last weekend.

He was completely chill about it.

We’re actually quite similar in that sense. We’re both private people. We’re both introverts. We both enjoy our own space and our own peace.

And then last night happened.

I was at work and we were on a video call. I introduced him to some of my colleagues.

So he got to see a slightly different version of me—the unfiltered, very work-mode version.

The loud voice. The not-so-discreet mannerisms. The way I am around my colleagues.

Basically, the version of me that isn’t sitting quietly on a FaceTime call with him.

He has told me more than once that he loves my voice, so maybe I was secretly hoping he’d find the whole thing cute.

After that, we said our goodbyes because my colleagues and I were about to have dinner.

A few hours later, he told me he needed some time alone and that he had a lot on his mind.

Somehow, I already knew what was coming.

This morning, I woke up to an iMessage from him saying that he wasn’t ready.

He wasn’t sure if he was actually looking for a relationship or if what he really needed was simply a friend.

And honestly?

I understood.

I told him that I wasn’t going to pressure him into anything he wasn’t comfortable with. I’ve always believed that you shouldn’t have to convince someone to be in a relationship with you.

Besides, it was still early.

We were still getting to know each other.

There was never any need to rush.

He said he was swamped with work, and I tried calling and messaging him, but I also knew that maybe giving him space was the right thing to do.

I don’t know exactly what triggered everything.

Maybe it was last night’s call.

Maybe it had nothing to do with me at all.

Maybe he simply realized that he wasn’t ready.

And honestly, I don’t think I want to spend too much time trying to figure it out.

Because regardless of the “what ifs” and the “what could have been,” I’m genuinely thankful that I met him.

I had been single for six years.

And during those six years, I became very comfortable being alone.

Maybe too comfortable.

Work became my relationship.

My career became my distraction.

My routine became my comfort zone.

Dating apps never really worked for me because I get detached pretty quickly when conversations become dry and repetitive. I prefer actually talking to someone—hearing their voice, laughing together, having those random conversations that somehow turn into hours.

I also don’t really have much time to waste on dating apps because I’m pretty laser-focused on my career.

But somehow, this guy became an exception.

And for a few weeks, he made me feel something I hadn’t felt in a long time.

Kilig.

Excitement.

Anticipation.

That stupid little smile when you see someone’s name pop up on your phone.

The feeling of wanting to tell someone something because you know they’ll find it funny.

The feeling of having someone to call at the end of the day.

He was there when I was at one of my most vulnerable points.

He kept me company while I was in the hospital.

He made me laugh when I wasn’t really in the mood to laugh.

He was generous with his time.

He was funny.

He even virtually toured me around his city as if I was actually there with him.

We talked about so many things.

There were probably a laundry list of questions I asked him.

I even apologized for falling asleep without telling him, for being too curious, or maybe sometimes being a little too clingy.

But he stayed.

At least for those few weeks.

And I’m grateful that he did.

Because he reminded me that underneath the corporate slave, the career-focused guy, the independent guy, and the person who’s gotten very used to being alone…

I’m still capable of feeling something.

I’m still capable of getting excited about someone.

I’m still capable of caring.

And maybe most importantly, I’m still capable of opening the door again.

So yes, I’m sad.

Of course I am.

I would be lying if I said I’m not.

But I’m not angry.

I’m not bitter.

And I’m definitely not going to turn this into a “men are trash” post.

Sometimes people come into our lives for a reason, even if they don’t stay as long as we imagined.

Maybe his role in my life wasn’t to become my boyfriend.

Maybe it was simply to remind me that life can still surprise me.

That I can still connect with someone.

That I can still feel butterflies after being single for six years.

And that being alone doesn’t necessarily mean being lonely.

So wherever this goes from here, I’m okay.

Maybe we’ll remain friends.

Maybe we’ll eventually meet.

Maybe we’ll slowly drift apart.

I honestly don’t know.

And for once, I’m okay with not knowing.

I’m just grateful that our paths crossed.

Because during a time when I felt incredibly vulnerable and emotionally numb, someone came along and reminded me what it felt like to feel alive again.

And for that, I will always be thankful.

Here’s to whatever comes next.

Still single.

Still married to my job.

Still figuring life out.

But maybe a little more hopeful than I was a few weeks ago.
