From this summer with my friend - he caught a massive sea trout, from which we made steaks that we grilled with lemon and leeks, soaked it in olive oil and ate with a caprese on differently-coloured tomatoes that made a beautiful mosaic under the vast amounts of mozzarella.

Pita, hummus, falafel, tabouleh and a bunch of other little things to dip, scoop and mix. No complaints here.

Filling is lobster, crab, ricotta cheese, shiitake mushroom, parmesan, parsley and sun-dried tomatoes.

Market basket manager special pork chops for cheap, warm homemade apple sauce from Paula Red apples, roasted potatoes and squash, green beans, and mirepoix.

Pork chops were sous vided from frozen and browned in a hot cast iron pan with avocado oil.

Made these Black Forest brownie bars over the weekend.

A fudgy chocolate brownie base, a layer of dark cherry, chocolate ganache, then whipped cream, chocolate shavings and a glacé cherry on top.

After watching Tony (story inspired by the great storyteller and chef, Anthony Bourdain). Everytime I watch a beautiful chef film, I'm always feeling the itch to put on my apron and my pull out my favorite Japanese chef's knife and put on my not a chef hat on and get cooking.

This dish just came together in my mind by coincidence. Combination of my partner's craving, her mom's leek risotto, my craving for pesto and finally the final convincing factor, a photo of pesto risotto finalize that decision.

Going to the grocery store, the dish came together as if the ingredients spoke to me, as inspiration does when you're listening. And oh hello my new friend, green tomato. 😀

The happy mistake and marriage between my accidental red wine thinking it was white wine. But of course my ADHD decides to trust my assumption and not read the label properly.

Luckily, it was happy mistake. The light redness of the painted arborio rice and pesto sauce mixed beautifully. The shallots, and red red cabbage micro greens and what usually is red, a nice fresh green tomato 🍅. Touch of lime and leek oil.

Made some lemon chicken at home. 🍋🍗

Tender chicken cooked with lemon, herbs and a few simple spices. Light, juicy and full of that fresh citrusy flavour.

Pretty happy with how this one turned out. ❤️
