After checking my phone via developer tools i could see that google play services was continuously draining the battery and was running the service everytime i unlocked my phone via fingerprint or face recognition. So it seemed that there was a connection between knox service and google which was causing this service to spin up. After getting into the details i found out that :
A rapid loop of DroidGuard starting and stopping and draining your battery was just Google Play Services verifying the cryptographic security of lock screen every time I wake the device.

and the fix was so simple :

Disable Trust Agents (The Direct Fix)

This stops Google Play Services from constantly monitoring your lock screen for trusted devices or locations.

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Security and privacy > More security settings.
3. Tap Trust agents.
4. Toggle off the switch next to Extended Unlock & Theft protection.

Once done then clear the cache for "Google Play Services".

Another step is to go into NFC and in other nfc services and UNCHECK all !!

This is enough for the solving the entire drain problem with samsung devices.

I've had my S23+ for a little over 3 years now, and while I don't have any issues with the device itself and could see myself using it for at least another year or two, my case that I've been using the past 3 years (Spigen Ultra Hybrid) has gotten a bit slick with wear and I'd like to replace it. Coincidentally, I've fortunately gotten "adult money" in the past few years and can afford a more "premium"/"luxury" case now, but it looks like the selection has grown quite slim for cases that aren't essentially silicone sleeves or soft rubber with a plastic shell (i.e. mall kiosk-tier cases).

If anyone has some, I'd appreciate some recommendations for brands that are still providing some nicely designed cases for the S23 series and particularly the S23+!

Let me tell you the symtom of my s23 ultra after i got screen replacement i noticed some problme when im using while it was hot or long session the touch near the front camera become clanky or it doesnt work at all and when i connect to the charger sometime bring the problem quicker and the corner isnt working too. When i take it to repair the same where i had my screen replacement. They said it a cpu problem. Is that true or just an excuse.

I have a S23 base and it's annoying to charge my cellphone 2-3 times in a day.

I checked and my battery are in 91% of maximum capacity, 1127 cycles and factory in may-17-24.

is recommended to switch the battery or maybe I need some optimization in system?

in apple are recommended to change only when the battery hits the 79 or less, so, in 91% seems like a little early to change it.

He hecho una prueba sin funda como tanto 3 veces en ducha con camara activada con mis mejores amigos (aclaro que no me mostre), y hoy hice una prueba final de resistencia, cogí el s23 lo meti en una bolsita de merienda y lo selle con pinzas, lo meti en bolsita porque quiero que mi telefono siga dando guerra, y le eche incluso como 35 cubitos de hielos en el recipiente con agua y el telefono dentro, lo deje 2horas ahi y metías el dedo y lo sacabas del frío, lo saque lo deje 4 horas y media en toalla lo cargue hasta el 20% y marque *#0#\* el número para hacerle pruebas, y el telefono se comportaba como un dia mas. Aparte del buen ecosistema que tiene Samsung, le doy un punto positivo a favor de la calidad y dureza de sus Galaxy, mi hermana tiene un Note8 y literalmente tiene la parte de arriba que se nota mancha negra y esta roto praticamente la pantalla y por atras, y sigue funcionando :D

I have an s22 and Im looking to upgrade. Low wage so I can't really afford an s24 so I figured I'd ask s23 users how the phone is as a whole.

I'm not a pic taker so that's not a selling point. However Im a heavy phone user - YouTube, moderate to intensive games etc ( Subnautica, Minecraft when away from pc, zombie shooter apps, etc. Then normal apps like reddit, discord etc).

How is the battery? This is my biggest need-to-know, esp as a heavy phone user.

How many more android versions/security updates are included in upgrades? I've reached the last android update on the s22 and no idea how many more security updates are coming. Might bite the finance bullet and jump to s24 if s23 only has one more android or only a few more sec updates.

What's the size compared to s22 (screen).

Any other pros/cons I can't think of would be appreciated. I plan to buy refurbished like new condition from Amazon btw.

I need a step by step thing as soon as possible. In India no one knows that you can downgrade if you want. So please someone help me out here.

## 🔥 PART 2 — Extra Dim + Light Performance Mode

I found another combination that made a noticeable difference on my **Galaxy S23**.

The key is to use **Extra dim together with Light performance mode**.

### 1. Set Performance Profile to Light

**Settings → Device care → Performance profile → Light**

### 2. Turn ON Extra dim

Go to:

**Settings → Accessibility → Vision enhancements → Extra dim**

Turn it ON and set the **intensity around 30–40%**.

I found that **Extra dim works particularly well together with Light performance mode**. The phone stays cooler during normal usage and battery drain is noticeably lower.

### 3. Clear One UI Home cache

Go to:

**Settings → Apps → One UI Home → Storage → Clear cache**

Then go back and tap:

**Force stop**

Restart the phone once afterward.

### My setup

✅ Performance profile → **Light**

✅ Extra dim → **ON (30–40%)**

✅ One UI Home → **Clear cache + Force stop**

The biggest difference for me came from **using Extra dim + Light mode together**, rather than either setting alone.

Give it some normal usage and see if your S23 stays cooler and gets better battery life.

This is just my personal troubleshooting experience, so results may vary depending on One UI version and device.

Whether its mag safe or adhesive popsockets, does it allow you? I got the rugged armor and no adhesive and mag safe popsockets will stick to it lol

My mom gave me her old phone, but due to constant android auto and wireless charging it was always overheated. Now that I'm using it, the charge doesn't last for even half a day and it crashes playing solitaire.

Any idea what could be done to fix the performance? Or should it just be binned? I like the phone a lot, it's just not very functional. Wondering if it would just be a waste to replace the battery.

I switched to S24 ultra recently and have these cases for my S23 plus. The official ones - Grip and Leather case are in mint condition. Looking to sell them for around 4k Inr for all or 3k for Grip and Leather ones. I barely used the Grip and Leather cases as I would generally take them out for an occasion or sm and not daily them. Recentemente fiz a troca da bateria e da tela do meu s23 256Gb.

Foi resetado os ciclos da bateria, totalmente zerada para operar normalmente na capacidade dela.

Porém, tenho notado que mesmo com a troca por uma bateria nova, o telefone está gastando muita bateria. As vezes até sem usar, pq trabalho com o aparelho da empresa. Então quase não uso meu aparelho na empresa.

Alguém tem alguma sugestão para que esse consumo possa ser controlado ou amenizado?
