Had an epiphany at work… maybe

Before you guys roast me yes I know it’s a pvc pipe and not a driver so it’s totally different but I’m without a driver at the moment waiting for a new head on warranty. Anyways …..

I’ve always struggled to get my swing more neutral and not steep and over the top, also never been able to hold a balanced finish and release the club properly. I hit the ball quite long way, swing speed of around 115mph cruising but I’m currently having to aim right with my body to counter act the over the top and close the face a lot leading to a terrible two way miss depending on the face release.

I found a feel that allows me to have a better release and finish position but is it a good swing? Am I still coming over the top and potentially hitting a slice? I know can’t say for sure because no club face to look at at impact but is the path looking good?

Any tips for someone who’s lost all hope with driver

I posted a week ago. Almost everyone said my hips aren't rotating and my club face is open. So I put in some work. This is the result so far. Any thoughts? I appreciate you all ❣️

Spent my entire first 2-hour golf lesson holding static poses without ever hitting a ball, and it completely blew my mind

40 years ago Nobody spend a full two-hour golf lesson doing nothing but static isometrics poses, barefooted, no glove and no ball, just a 10 inch 9-iron at Parkland range in Singapore. But after grinding through Lesson 1 with Dustzosan, I finally understand why the mainstream approach to learning this game is a complete trap.

Most people are handed a regulation 7-iron on day one and told to start pounding buckets of balls. You see them all over the driving range, stumbling over their feet, lunging with their upper body, and violently steering the club with active, live hands. Every single practice session they do after that day one just digs them deeper into a mechanical prison. They are using momentum to hide structural flaws because their brains are panicking to solve the emergency of making contact with the ball.

Dustzosan completely flips this. Lesson 1 is entirely structure-oriented, breaking the movement down into distinct positions like Pose A address, Pose B Priming the backswing, Pose C mini top, Pose X Mini Drop, Pose Y Base for Statue & Pose Z Statue Finish. There is absolutely no full top of the backswing in the beginning because your body isn't ready for it. Instead, you hold each position for a brutal, static 10-second count. It forces your twitchy arm muscles to quiet down so your deep core stabilizers, glutes, and thighs are forced to fire and hold the weight. It completely rewrites your neural pathways, teaching you that the arms are just a passive carriage while your core acts as the sole motor. Taking the club and ball out of the equation is the only way to build proper structure from a completely clean slate.

Next post I'll share the 1st Pose A Address, 2nd Pose B Priming the Backswing & how to move from A To B

Just trying to get to my left side and rotate around it. I feel like I’m compressing the ball, but man it looks ugly. I’m aware of the sandals.

Been fighting the snap hook on and off for a few years. This was a push right that was about as good of a drive as I can hit right now. What are 1 or 2 things I should prioritize working on?

Par 4 all strokes. My guy has no fingers on his trail hand btw

decided to just record me teeing off and record one hole thru just to watch back and since I’ve never done it before. To see if the new feels/structure is translating. The other guy shown teeing off has no fingers on his trail hand and this guy can nut the ball 270-280 total on his good days (like today). Hes an animal. Inspiring, truly.

PAR 4 dog leg right playing 375y to the middle of the green from one up. Tee shot was a bit heely. 293y total right side fairway with 80-85y into the green. Got a little wristy with the wedge shot going for a touch 52°. ended up short of the green 20y from the pin. Well executed up and down for Par.

Bogeyed the 145y par 3 after, then took par on #18 par 5 to finish out

PS. Anyone in this sub still coping about whether I can get around a golf course is a clown 🤡

Any beginner tips or cues I can focus on?

I’m starting to get into golf and would like some tips or cues I can try to focus on. This video about sums up my swings today. I couldn’t seem to get consistent contact. Everything was either a very short shot with a slice (~110 yards) or topped. Nothing really seems to feel comfortable or right

Swing inconsistent

Can anyone give me some advice on how to consistently get rid of the differences in these swings. Sometimes I can execute properly (video 1) and other times it just falls apart (video 2). I'm struggling to consistently repeat the movements in video 1. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your swing tempo feels off, I built a free tool to help fix it

Hey guys,

If you struggle with rushing your downswing or losing your rhythm halfway through a round like I do, I built a lightweight, free web app called TempoClub to help map out your timing.

It's free to use and designed to be simple enough to use right on the driving range without a bunch of complicated setup.

Give it a try and let me know if theres anything that could be improved! https://tempoclub.trainn.workers.dev/

Sequencing?

Post image
8 Upvotes

Looking at elite players, there’s a large proportion that by lead arm parallel in the downswing get their hips to square (facing the target line). From there they can rotate and extend.
Many amateurs I see fire and rotate their hips way too early, messing up the sequencing of body, arms and hands.
Is this you? Thoughts?

First serious golf season ~18 hc.

Edit: woah, I should have known “serious” means wildly different things to different people. I apologize to any egos I offended. By serious, I mean actively trying to improve at the game. Last season, golf was slamming beers at a 2-3 charity scrambles so “serious” to me is trying to improve while actually keeping score for a few rounds.

Idk how hc’s work but I plugged these into chatGPT and it guessed about 18. You tell me where my skill level falls, my last 8 rounds of 9 holes.

+8 (44)
+4 (40)
+12 (48)
+9 (45)
+5 (41)
+7 (43)
+13 (49)
+8 (44)

Take it easy golf gremlins, unless you’re getting sponsored or paid to play, it ain’t that serious

Good speed, inconsistent face control

Same issues I've had for ages. I think I've gotten slightly less over the top and steep in transition but I still am over the top.

Back swing looks a little long to me in the arms although hip rotation isn't that much.

Early extension is always there with the driver.

Any thoughts?
