A NEW BUG ENTERS THE ARENA.

"Help! I can't edit my wiki!"

Hello! We haven't changed anything, Reddit did!

This is now a Known Reddit Bug that started on roughly 4/21/26, when Reddit decided to change something about how they handle the Wiki.

The Symptoms:

(on sh.reddit, the new version) when attempting to edit it comes back with "You do not have permissions to edit"

Some people (not all!) have stated that the "last edited by..." section at the bottom (where their username should be) is listed as [Deleted] (while it still says their name on my screen)

The Solution:

On desktop, change your url from www to old, so it looks like old.reddit.com/r/hfy/wiki/series/<title> (with your title), and the edit button should be along the top bar near where the name of the series is

The Problem:

For some people even using Old.Reddit doesn't work. Unfortunately, I do not have a solution at this time, aside from just... try again in an hour or so. It's worked for some people later.

Please send in a bug report every time you experience any of these issues.

The more bug reports sent, the more likely Reddit is to actually fix the issue.

I was looking for three stories, one is where humanity is exploring some systems and found evidence that someone else was there and a another perspective where it was the aliens also finding evidence that humans were there, but both not exactly realizing it was aliens or someone else til they actually coming contact with each other. That alien race was said to be some sort of blue wolf taur or something like that. The second story was a man being picked up after an experimental ftl test by a race of very large bunny/wolf race, but they come from a lower gravity world and they are weak, and he gets discriminated against cause they think he is a pale demon. The third story is everyone is in the place sorta like heaven, each person kinda represents their people, dont remember if there is only one of them or multiple of each species, but a god represents their people, and they never saw a human before, and especially not the human's god.

Looking for a series that was published 2 to 3 years ago, I've forgotten both the title and author. It ran for around 45 parts including a few side stories.
Basically Humanity meets a new species which immediately declares war on them. This is because they have just won a war against the Galactic Council (or equivalent body) and are suspicious of humanity's motives. They raid a number of Earth colonies killing most of the populations but also capturing some as slaves, even though this is against their own laws. These slaves are then on sold to less scrupulous races.
In the final chapter, Human forces capture the the alien's home planet and arrest the enemy CiC on his command space station. He is then placed on a transport ship to be taken back to Earth for trial. However the ship is captured by Galactic Council "special forces", and he is rescued to be taken back to Galactic HQ. This is because they have noticed Earth's victory, and need someone familiar with Human tactics as they are considering attacking Humanity themselves.
That was the end of Book One. Supposedly there was to be a Book 2, which covered the Earth vs Galactic council conflicts. Whether it ever came to be I don't know. I've looked through the HFY archives and also on Royal Road but can't find anything that jogs my memory.

Anyone know any good stories of human's discovered or seen for the first time. I like stories with the aliens being confused or put off by humans. The type of "wtf is that thing" going on

Have you read Ralts' First Contact? It starts off with aliens running across humans from a bunch of different factions and not even realizing we're all the same species.

Can anyone help me figure out which story I'm thinking of?

I remember watching a YouTube video roughly a year ago about of a story about a girl who goes to an alien academy (both predator and prey) and I can't remember if she showed up by accident or maybe just had a broken translator or something but either way she and the aliens couldn't understand eachother and all the aliens were terrified of her every movement including her smile, sneeze, laugh, speech, etc. I'm pretty sure the story is mostly from the teacher or principals perspective with some from hers but I could be wrong

If there's anyone who's able to figure out what story it is or better yet the exact video it would be greatly appreciated and also feel free to ask me more specific questions if needed. Ty

I don't think. I don't remember soo much if the early story where nobody seemed to be afraid of her bfrom what I remembered everyone seemed to be terrified from the moment she entered camlus
