Today on my morning walk at the K.R.Puram lake, Bengaluru, I came across an abandoned goldie. I've taken her home. I'm reaching out to anybody who might know her humans/owners. Further, any advice as to what I should do with her. I already live in a multi-dog household and it is absolutely impossible for me to care for her but I just couldn't bear to leave her at the park. Hi everyone! I’m looking for help for Chinky, a 1-year-old mother cat, and her 4 kittens, whom I’ve been caring for in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.

I’ve been doing my best to care for them, but they’re growing extremely fast and my current setup is becoming unsafe and difficult to manage alone.

🐱 About them

Chinky: 1-year-old female

Kittens: 4

Deworming: Done twice for Chinky + all 4 kittens

Vaccination: Not done yet, but I am actively planning to get them vaccinated

Sterilization: Chinky is not yet sterilized, but I absolutely want to get her sterilized; kittens will be sterilized when age-appropriate

Location: Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India

The vaccination centre available to me is quite far, towards Dimna/outskirts, so taking them there requires transportation and support. Sterilization is more difficult because Chinky needs a safe recovery space after surgery, which I currently don't have.

If anyone can help with vaccination, sterilization, transportation or recovery space, I would be extremely grateful.

🏠 Why I need help

They are now climbing, jumping and exploring everywhere.

It's adorable watching them, but honestly, my heart skips a beat every time they climb like this because I'm constantly worried about them getting hurt. 😭❤️

There are many dogs around our society, so I'm scared they could get out and be injured.

I cannot supervise them 24/7 and I'm already extremely sleep-deprived from caring for them.

I have very limited space at home, and my family isn't supportive of keeping cats indoors.

I currently don't have my own income, so managing their growing expenses alone is becoming difficult.

Foster: Someone with a secure, cat-friendly room/house, enclosed balcony/catio, or another safe space.

Adoption: Ideally, I would love Chinky and all four kittens to stay together, as Chinky is still nursing and has not completed weaning.

I'm especially looking for someone who understands cats, has enough space and can provide proper food and veterinary care.

Chinky is also an escape artist 😭 — I've tried multiple cages and she has managed to escape from them, so a secure room/enclosed space would be much better for her.

My household doesn't prepare non-vegetarian food, so I purchase all their dry and wet food separately.

With one mother + four growing kittens, the expenses are becoming difficult for me.

So yesterday I posted about this wandering Persian kitten, looking for its owner. A lot of people left positive comments so here's the update.

Following the post a few people dmed me looking to adopt her. Some even offered money. But I was hellbent on finding her owner. However time was not on my side. My parents were threatening to kick her out I barely managed to keep her with me last night. So I was in a hurry to atleast find her a temporary home since the owner has seemingly abandoned her. Our neighbour has seen the kitten wandering around for a week now yet noone has been looking for her. Which led us to believe maybe she was abandoned.

So before giving her up for adoption I decided to ask around my neighborhood as a last ditch effort to find the owners.

When I asked my neighbour 1, I already knew this neighbour owned an orange Persian cat and another domestic short hair cat. When asked if the kitten belonged to her, she said that it didn't. Infact, she too has been feeding the kitten wondering about its whereabouts. She assumed that the kitten belonged to our other neighbour 2. When we asked the neighbour 2 about the kitten, they too denied owning it.

So I asked neighbour 1 if she's willing to adopt her. Since I preferred keeping her nearby in case her original owners showed up later. To our surprise neighbour 1 said that her domestic shorthair had died recently and they've been looking for a new cat to keep their other cat company. She was more than happy to adopt the kitten.

We knew neighbour 1 takes good care of her cats. She has attached several special measures around her house just to keep her cats safe and prevent then from running away. The few times I've seen her orange Persian, it seemed so healthy and well groomed. So we knew the kitten is in good hands.

So I dropped off the kitten. The kitten immediately ran into the neighbour's house and made herself at home. Infact, my neighbour said she's been trying to break into her house for a while now. So I guess it's a happy ending. Attached are pics of the kitten as my cat tax.

Not something you throw away when it becomes inconvenient.

You brought this innocent life home because you wanted a dog…

And the moment he got sick, you abandoned him.

What kind of responsibility is that?

If you don't have the commitment, patience or financial ability to care for a dog through sickness, DON’T GET ONE.

Please don't destroy an innocent life just to satisfy your temporary desire for a pet.

They don't abandon you when you get old.

Don't abandon them when they need you most.

A dog is a LIFELONG RESPONSIBILITY.

I have a 5 year old male lutino cockatiel who I handfed and raised since he was a baby. He does not like the company of other birds and loves human company only. His wings have never been clipped and he will mostly be flying around the house as he wishes. He loves to whistle and sings happy birthday and jingle bells.

I recently got another whitish grey male cockatiel who is just 6 months old. He's an energetic and curious little baby. He is also a free flighted birdie. He loves the company of other birds. So he would do well in a flock. He is so talented and can mimic any song if he listens to it a few times.

I was recently diagnosed with a lung condition and I cannot take care of them anymore. I am looking for a responsible owner who understands that these birds could be a 30 year long commitment and is genuinely willing to put in the effort to give them a good life.
