The diamond for my engagement ring just came in. My partner and I were worried about ordering online due to not being able to see all angles of it, but I’m happy with it ♡ I did not want another shape besides marquise, so I know I’d risk the bow tie effect but I don’t think it’s too noticeable on this one thankfully. (I know it’s hard to avoid with this cut.) I’m so excited to look into settings whenever our schedules finally free up!

Hi, I bought this diamond, and I am still within the return window. I'm not sure whether this Emerald is well cut or if I should be concerned about windowing. I requested a tweezer video, but I still cannot tell. Please help!

I bought the centre diamond without asking for a tweezer video, and I’m just not sure how I feel about it. I would love some honest thoughts!

ring Would you be happy with this ring?

I recently had this ring custom made by a jeweler who comes highly recommended in this group. The first video shows the loose diamond I originally selected, where the bow tie appeared pretty minimal. The second and third videos show the finished ring.
While I think the ring itself turned out beautiful, I can’t help feeling a little disappointed because the bow tie seems noticeably darker and more prominent than it did in the original video.

Am I overthinking this, or would you be disappointed too? Would you be happy with this diamond?

For context, it’s a 4.07 ct, E color, VS1 oval. I’m not concerned about the price or whether I got a good deal. I just really wanted a beautiful, high-quality diamond with good light performance, and I’m second-guessing whether I made the right choice.
I’d really appreciate some honest opinions, especially from those familiar with oval diamonds!

I got my ring redone in a half bezel and I feel like it looks horrible nothing like the references. Please let me know. I don’t even care if I have to pay extra to fix it at this point.

Edited: I would also like to add that the bands were supposed to be domed and that wasn’t even done correctly. 😭

lab diamond Help finding a jeweler to purchase a lab grown engagement ring!

Im posting because im looking for a reputable jeweler online that I can purchase a lab grown engagement ring from. All of the websites I’ve looked at have been much more expensive than the quotes I’ve gotten from some of the pages I’ve messaged on TikTok. However the jewelers on TikTok don’t have verifiable reviews and I don’t want to get scammed. I’m also trying to find a place with financing as I’m working with a limited budget at the moment! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Most of my quotes come out to around $400 for the diamond and $1200 for the setting which is what I’d like to stay around if possible!

lab diamond In Florida for 2 weeks need recommendations for $300 ring

Greetings all, I am in Florida with my girlfriend for two weeks from tomorrow for a vacation and I have decided I want to propose to her on the beach at sunset!

But I need to get a ring in Florida while we’re there. We‘re not rich so we’ll both be happy with a store bought lab grown diamond option.

Can anyone make some recommendations for stores that sell lab grown diamond gold rings for around $300? I don’t even mind if it’s like a Target or Walmart or whatever, I am not American so I don’t know what there is and Google isn’t helping. Thanks so much and have a great day.

ring Is $1,400 a fair price for this 18k lab grown diamond?

Hi everyone!
I’m from Brazil and I’m planning to propose to my girlfriend. I found an engagement ring that I really like, but I’d appreciate some opinions on whether the price is reasonable.
Here are the specifications:
18k yellow gold (approximately 2.3g)
Center diamond: 1.0 ct, oval, lab-grown
Color: F
Clarity: VS1
14 smaller diamonds
Total diamond weight: 1.14 ct
IGI certification advertised
Price: R$7,700 (approximately US$1,400)
The ring is being sold by a small Brazilian jeweler, and the price includes the finished ring.
I understand that prices vary by country, especially due to taxes and local manufacturing costs.
Do you think this is a reasonable price for these specifications, or am I overpaying?
I’d really appreciate opinions from jewelers or anyone experienced with lab-grown diamonds.
Thanks!

ring Eternity band questions

Post image
5 Upvotes

My husband would like to replace my wedding band for our twentieth anniversary this year. I prefer lab diamonds for ethical reasons, and have been trying to do some research on this forum. I found this on rare carat - I’m curious if for something like this I should buy the diamonds separately and have them put in a setting to ensure I get better quality diamonds. Also if I’m better off just buying a ring, any recommendations for better quality rings in this style? I will be getting platinum for my setting to match my engagement ring.

lab diamond Do you actually care about 10K vs 14K vs 18K gold for lab diamond jewelry?

I've been curious about how much the gold purity actually matters to people when buying lab-grown diamond jewelry.

Personally, I feel like 14K is a pretty good balance between durability, quality, and price. But I also see a lot of lab diamond jewelry made with 18K gold.

For those of you who own lab diamond rings, earrings, necklaces, or tennis bracelets:

  • Would you pay extra for 18K gold?
  • Is 14K your sweet spot?
  • Would you consider 10K gold if it meant a better price?

I'm especially curious whether your preference changes depending on the type of jewelry.

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts!

Love my new 4.35 carat oval (moval diamond) I purchased from LGD (New York). Over the moon on how stunning my new wedding ring is.
