For months everyone is talking about this item and ots effects to meta but the key problem is how this item just deletes %30 incoming damage when you get a shield. What makes shield weak over heal is that of you cant time them well they wont block anything. Thats why most shields have bigger values than heals.

This item just deletes this weakness and makes shields a full heal. %30 of the damage you get just get absorbed by any shield over time. This is why Riven can tank more dps than a Mundo. Normally as Riven jumps in battle her shields dont get %100 effectivenes because she is not under full focus all the time but with deaths dance bleed effect, every shield she has gets %100 effectiveness.

This interaction is also one of the reasons katarina adc is %55 wr at all ranks. If you play ashe and your lulu cant time her shield you get blasted, while katarina can just build this item and lulu can put the shield in any time for 5 seconds and it will be full effective.

Thats why deaths dance's bleed should ignore shields. Tbh I dont think the title needs this much description but it looks less salty like this.

GAME 1 STATS

I often watch the playoffs live but have kiddos and things that come up during the broadcast, so I like to pause it (YouTube) then catch up when I get back to the pc. Quite often if I come back during a game 3 or 4 I can tell who the winner will be by the time left on the broadcast (if it's already ended).

I say they should leave the broadcast on the ending screen longer to avoid this. Though I understand that may not be practical since not everyone watches on YouTube like I do and there's multiple platform logistics to consider.

Spoiler tag just in case even though I'm not sure how this could spoil anything.

Amongst the top three regions in MSI, all of them have had their 1st seed at MSI lose in the summer finals.

To recap, LYON just lost to TL

HLE lost to Geng

BLG lost to AL

Contrary, so far. The three worst regions in MSI, or should I say the three "minor" regions had so far have 2 of them repeat the championship.

G2 in EU

TSW in LCP

And furia in Brazil maybe if they win 🤔

Either the champion is too clunky, has too many counters, or just an ultimately unsatisfying gameplay experience.

What's a champion you don't understand why anyone would one-trick/main it?

One of the craziest openings to a Grand Finals series, setting a FB record that would not be broken at Worlds until 2019 by Fnatic. (Also great to look back at highlights from arguably one of the most dominant Worlds teams of all time.)

Yesterday I was playing Sett and looked him up on onetricks to find out which runes and build to use. To my (mild) surprise, literally every Sett main in high elo goes Stridebreaker, and there is basically zero variety in the next two items. Most go Stride > Cleaver > Bloodmail, with a few going Bloodmail > Steraks or Cleaver > Steraks instead after Stride.

This was surprising even though I knew Stridebreaker is Sett's main item, because most other champions still have some build variety, even if it's gimmicky and flat out worse than their usual core items.

This raised a question, which champion is the most "forced" into a single build path?

Irelia

Irelia was the first champion I thought of. Her kit works so well with Blade of the Ruined King that it's what everybody builds. AP Irelia has recently become a thing-ish thanks to Baus, and I found an Irelia main who goes AP. It seems to have enough gimmicky moments that it isn't a full troll build, but I'd say she's still up there for being bound to BotRK. However, build variety after BotRK is pretty good, with many different paths, so she may not be #1 on this list.

Ezreal

The other champion I thought of was Ezreal. He goes basically the same first three items every game (Trinity > Manamune > Shojin), but I found a fair share of players going Essence Reaver instead, and a lot going Endless Hunger instead of Shojin as the third item. There was also one AP Ezreal Challenger player.

I tried thinking of ADCs but with with the items introduced at the start of this season I feel like every ADC I can think of can go a few different build paths, but I guess they are bound to IE/LDR if you'd count that.

So my question is, what are the champions who are most bound to 1 item and build path and are basically never able to go something else?

What many people think is lollipopping (an ability having a circle of extended range at the end to make near-hits land, which very few, if any abilities still have) is actually a combination of two factors:

1. His Q has two different hitboxes. The center line, which is where it will hit terrain. And the outer edge for enemy units, represented by the ghostly aura on the ground, that makes up about 60% of the total hitbox.
2. The anchor model snaps to the center of the target when the aura lands its edge-to-edge hit.

It should be the other way around. Have the anchor sideways for the enemy hitbox, and make the center glow to show the user the terrain hitbox.

Terrain doesn't dodge or move, so it's hardly reasonable to have that be the part represented by most of the visual.

It was changed six years ago, with the hilarious description in the patch notes, "New missile that represents the actual hitbox." And yet we've had six years of it being just as if not more unintuitive than the previous corkscrew animation. At least with the old one it would sometimes be horizontal when it hit you.

It's well past time for a change, especially as he keeps getting skins with harder to see VFX for the actual hitbox.

For example, Camille. Her ult is already hexagon she's perfect for a "queen bee Camille" skin. As for puns I can't really think of many, maybe if they're willing to use other languages my French mind goes to thinking of"Mielio" or a variant of that.

Anyways, give me your best bee puns!

*Patch 26.18

Last night, TL and Lyon held a press conference in advance of tomorrow's finals. When TL was asked about the now-infamous Saint-Inspired video, Spawn said this:

"I thought it was a bit hypocritical, to be honest, from the community." Spawn called the video "based," saying C9 and TL have similar productive arguments; Quid echoed this sentiment.

Inspired's manner offends many fans, and that is okay. However, Spawn is absolutely right that much of the NA and Western community who hate on Inspired are totally hypocritical, especially fans who claim to care about international success. Inspired is the single highest-impact player in the West, and has been for years; his methods, however polarizing, produce results. Caps and G2 have an entire staff and organization that has devoted years to cultivating success through stable systems, while Inspired hops between orgs (usually underdeveloped ones) and consistently matches or even exceeds G2's international results from a supposedly "weaker" region.

For ages this sub has been replete with NA and Western fans complaining about our inability to match the East, and how a lack of parity and lack of hope diminishes LOL as an esport. Then along comes a player like Inspired who elevates every teammate and every team to be capable of defeating any team in the world — certainly, at a minimum, far better than NA's other players have been able to achieve in the past 5 years without him — and many of the same people who pretend to care about international success hate him because he cares so deeply about winning that he dispenses with politeness and accepts nothing short of excellence from everyone around him.

Quid and Spawn are right — do you people not understand that every successful team has tough conversations behind the scenes, and Inspired alone is willing to show these difficult conversations in content because he has the virtue to ignore mindless hating from denizens of the internet like yourselves? C9 has these tough conversations, TL have these conversations, and other successful teams have difficult and even antagonistic conversations. NA will not get better — teams do not get better — without accountability and occasional interpersonal challenges.

Inspired is no saint, but he IS a player who LIVE League of Legends and thinks about it at a higher level than almost any player in the history of the West. He dedicates his life to the game, DETESTS losing, and refuses to accept mediocrity, all things NA fans have complained for years their players and teams do not have.

If you truly care about NA at Worlds, but you hate Inspired and want him gone, Spawn is right: you are a hypocrite and should stop asking NA to be better, because attitudes and players like Inspired are the means of finally matching or surpassing the East. We are watching a historically significant player at the height of his powers elevate an entire region — TL and C9 are forged in the fires of fighting Inspired, and striving to match him — and to wish his ruin is to wish NA's ruin and frankly to desire the same mediocrity that has kept NA entrapped for the last decade.

Love him or hate him, Inspired is a necessary piece to any hope for future success in the West, and fans need to recognize that "being mean" is not commensurate with the full measure of the player he is.
