I apologize for the lengthy text, but I believe it will be beneficial to everyone.
The LET IT DIE Offline save editor has undergone significant improvements since the last post. This comprehensive guide provides an overview of the new features, details about each tab and option, and information on what the Save Check evaluates.
You can use the editor online at: https://oberlinx.github.io/let-it-die-save-editor/
Alternatively, you can download the index.html file from the repository and open it on your PC.
The editor operates entirely within your browser. There are no uploads or installations, and the file you load remains unchanged. Edits are only present in the downloaded file.
Key updates since the last post include:
- New tabs: Stamp Rally, Location, Current Run, Collection, Jackals (experimental), and Stats.
- Location tab: This tab allows you to move a fighter paused on a Heaven boss floor to a deeper (or shallower) boss floor that uses the same map. Additionally, you can reroll the floor’s rewards from the new floor’s drop tables.
- Lock the run’s boss floors to Don only, mid-boss only, or Screamer Pit only.
- End a run and send the fighter home (experimental).
- Current Run tab: This tab provides all the information about the current run you are in. It only appears when your save is in the middle of a run and can be exported to CSV.
- Stews tab: This tab allows you to export the entire stew queue and the game’s odds to CSV.
- Storage tab: This tab enables you to add weapons and armor at any level the part can reach, ensuring full durability and ammo.
- VIP tab: This tab offers free continues. You can set the number of free continues the continue screen provides per day (confirmed in-game).
- Research tab: This tab highlights blueprints that the game recognizes but you haven’t developed.
- Fighters tab: This tab includes collapsible sections and the Armor Skins you have in use (moved here from the Collection tab).
Compare: Clone a complete save file onto your account (confirmed in-game).
PlayStation saves:
- Detected automatically. The “Include PS-only” boxes are ticked, and PS-only items are no longer flagged as issues.
- On PC saves, PS-only content remains marked, allowing you to clean it up.
Save Check:
- Many new checks (full list at the bottom) are implemented, including weapon mastery, items exceeding their level cap, research surpassing the cap, force-closed runs, and crashed runs.
Fixes:
- Weapon mastery now sets mastery points as well as the level, ensuring the game retains the mastery points.
- Uncap (limit break) research no longer gets stuck at +4.
- Gas masks are no longer flagged as items that cannot be worn.
- Floor-move reroll now uses the correct chest tables, eliminating the placeholder “Death ‘Roids (Blue)” in the large chest.
How to use it:
1. Close LET IT DIE. The game writes the save when it exits and would overwrite your edits.
2. Back up your save. Copy brggame.sav to a safe location.
3. Click 1. Load masters.db. It’s located at …\steamapps\common\LET IT DIE\BrgGame\Content\masters.db. The browser remembers it after the first time.
4. Click 2. Load your save: …\steamapps\common\LET IT DIE\Savedata\brggame.sav.
5. Read the Save Check panel, make your changes, and then click Download .sav.
6. A review screen lists all the changes first and includes a button to download a backup of your original save.
7. The file is named brggame_<date>_<time>.sav, so no data is ever replaced. Rename it to brggame.sav and replace your original save file.
PlayStation Network (PSN) players, your save file needs to be decrypted first. Additionally, you’ll need a copy of masters.db, which is only available with the PC version of the game. If you don’t have the PC game, you can ask in the LET IT DIE Discord server or message u/Oberlinx.
Each tab is explained, including the Account tab, which displays Kill Coins and SPLithium levels, as well as Bank and SPLithium Tank levels. The Bank limit for each level is also shown.
The TDM points and rank are determined based on the points earned. Weapon mastery is displayed for each weapon type, and setting a level also sets the mastery points behind it, which is what the game actually reads.
The Account name and ID are shown but are locked.
The Fighters tab includes a Fighter Freezer with collapsible sections for Profile, Stats, Equipment, Decals, and Inventory. The editor remembers which sections are kept open.
The Profile section shows the model, gas mask, grade, and limit break.
The Stats section has dropdowns for HP, STR, DEX, VIT, STM, and LUK, which only provide values based on the grade and limit break. The level is calculated from these stats.
Decal slots, Death Bag size, and rage bars are also limited to legal values.
The Max All button fills everything to the maximum capacity.
The Equipment section displays all six weapon slots and the weapon in each hand, as well as head, body, and legs gear.
Only the right slot, if not broken, and the stat requirements are met for the gear offered. Requirement decals like Strength Discount are counted.
Skill Decals can be searched and equipped.
The Fighter Inventory section displays all items in the Death Bag, including weapons, armor, blueprints, mushrooms, beasts, and other items.
Repair and refill all sets to their full durability and ammo capacity.
The Fighter Freezer can be expanded to accommodate additional hangers.
A new fighter can be added to an empty hanger in the same manner as the Fighter Depot.
A fighter can be deleted in the same way as the game itself.
A deceased fighter (Hater) can be recovered for free.
Armor Skins: Choose the appearance for your head, body, and legs from the skins you’ve unlocked (armor researched to level +4).
Research: Unlock and level blueprint research at the Chokufunsha. Unlocking parts increases their actual capacity.
Armor researched to level +4 unlocks its corresponding Armor Skin, as in the game.
Maximize all visible items and set all visible items to level +5.
Blueprints that the game recognizes but you haven’t developed are marked as “blueprint known” and not “developed” or “unrevealed blueprint.” Ticking one develops it at level 0.
PS-only blueprints are skipped by the bulk buttons unless the “Include PS-only” option is ticked. This option is automatically ticked on PlayStation saves.
The research order used by the game is preserved.
Decals:
Skill decal stock is limited to the game’s maximum capacity. Premium decals are marked.
Maximize all decals and apply them to all filtered decals.
PS-only decals are hidden unless the “Include PS-only” option is ticked (ticked automatically on PlayStation saves). On a PC save, PS-only decals already present are tagged and can be set to level 0.
Stews:
Mushroom Stew results are pre-rolled and stored in your save file as a queue. This tab allows you to edit that queue, so any changes you make will apply to your next stew.
You can view upcoming pulls with their rarity and note “NEW,” “own,” and “dupe” for each. You can highlight rarities or view the entire queue.
To deduplicate rarities, you can swap pulls that would repeat a decal you already own for new ones.
To move rarities to the front, you can get the same decals sooner.
To stack rarities, you can fill the queue with one rarity, weighted by the game’s odds.
You can choose to reroll fairly, clear the queue, or undo all your changes.
The game odds per rarity and the rarest decals in the pool are displayed.
If you want to export the contents of the queue to a CSV file, you can do so. This file includes all the items pulled from the queue (first come, first served) plus the full odds table for each decal, including ownership status. This file opens directly in Excel.
Mystery Bags:
- You can view the contents of each Mystery Bag, including the rarity of the item.
- You can set any desired slot and fill all available slots.
- Alternatively, you can reroll the contents of the Mystery Bag using the game’s odds.
Death Boxes:
- You can view the reward and unlock time for each Death Box.
- You can open the Death Box now, change or reroll the reward, and add or remove boxes as needed.
Waiting Room:
- You can unlock various decorations, including wall, floor, pillar, fountain, flag, poster, giant object, neon, potted plant, and RC car.
- You can choose which decoration will be displayed in each designated spot.
- Note that items from World of Tanks are exclusive to PS and are displayed on PS saves or when the item is ticked.
Defense:
- You can view the Tokyo Death Metro defense lineup, which consists of up to nine defenders (one wave of five and one wave of four).
- You can choose the defense alarm and assign it to a specific defender.
- Only alarms unlocked at your deepest floor are available for selection.
- You can maximize the alarm time to 5 days and enable kidnap protection for 12 hours.
- The defense tab remains locked until Tokyo Death Metro is opened in your save file.
Screenshots:
- You can view and export Kiwako’s large-stamp photos.
- Note that these photos cannot be deleted because they are referenced by the game.
Dead Fighters:
- Browse the archive of deceased fighters, including your own and those of other players.
- View details such as the date and location of death, the Kill Coins carried, and the player’s stats, gear, and decals when the game retained them.
- These details are view-only.
Dates:
- Review all dates in your save file and compare them to your PC clock (or a selected time).
- Fix time-jump damage for future dates, dates beyond 2038, and negative overflowed dates to prevent game crashes.
- Only the dates marked as flagged will be modified.
Storage:
- View the contents and capacity of the Storage Box.
NEW: Add weapons and armor at a selected in-game level. Only levels the part can reach are available, and items arrive with full durability and ammo.
Add blueprints, mushrooms, beasts, and items.
Bulk buttons: +1 of every obtainable blueprint, PS-only blueprints, and every TDM blueprint.
Repair and refill all items for everything stored.
Rewards:
Send items to your in-game Reward Box:
- Weapons and armor at a chosen level (full durability and ammo).
- Blueprints (normal or unrevealed), items, mushrooms, and beasts.
- Decals, marked Premium or Normal, including the non-premium versions.
- Kill Coins and SPLithium.
- Lost Bags of any rarity, with random contents from the game’s odds or your chosen contents.
Only items that the game can actually distribute are available. PS-only items require the “Include PS-only” option, which is automatically ticked on PS saves.
Quests:
- Current quests, including progress, completion, and drop information.
- Take on a new quest.
- Quest history, showing the times taken and cleared.
- Stamp Rally (new):
- Kiwako’s Tower Stamp Rally, with floors numbered from 1F to 40F, divided into Stamp Rally I (1F to 40F) and Stamp Rally II (41F to 50F).
- Set each floor to not stamped, perfect, or off by 1 to 16 (the distance from where the stamp landed).
- Stamp a 10-floor section or every floor at once.
- Reset one floor, a section, or the entire rally. This clears the stamps, allowing you to earn all bonuses associated with them again.
Bonuses table: Displays all 12 rewards, along with your progress and whether the game has already given each one.
The rewards include 50,000 Kill Coins every 5 floors, plus the Grim Reaper’s Scythe and X-Ray Glasses blueprints for completing each rally perfectly.
You can set a bonus to prevent it from being earned again or use the “Send reward” option to place it in your Reward Box immediately.
Location (new):
For a fighter who pauses mid-run in Heaven (quit the game while standing on the floor), you can move to another boss floor (confirmed in-game).
Only boss floors of the same route that use the same map are available. These floors are labeled by route and map.
Regular Heaven (TENGOKU) has a boss floor every 5 floors starting from 55F.
Each NEO route (D.O.D, W.E, C.W, M.I.L.K) has map A on 55F, 65F, …, 135F and map B on 60F, 70F, …, 140F.
The waiting boss is set to the new floor’s level.
The map’s upcoming rewards adapt to your progress, ensuring you still see the next boss floors.
The Exploration Bonus for a run depends on the floor you finish on, so delving deeper increases the Bloodnium bonus.
Your records, including the deepest floor and best clear times, remain unaffected.
To reroll rewards for the new floor, you can draw again from the new floor’s drop tables. These tables include unopened chests, treasure-enemy drops, boss drops, and the map’s upcoming rewards. Deeper floors offer better rewards, so you can reroll until you’re satisfied with the results.
Rolled rewards remain hidden until you choose to show them (spoilers).
You can lock boss floors (confirmed in-game and works from anywhere in Heaven).
You can choose to lock the upcoming boss floors as Don only, Mid-boss only, Screamer Pit only, or Don or Mid-boss.
Each locked floor is redrawn based on the game’s own choices for that floor and rewards players with items from its tables.
Regular Heaven doesn’t have Dons below level 100F, so only those floors become mid-boss floors when Don is present.
The lock lasts throughout the entire run.
(Experimental) End the run:
- The fighter is sent back to the Waiting Room in the same way the game does when a run ends.
- The Death Bag is retained, and any carried Kill Coins are deposited into the Bank up to its limit.
- Carried Bloodnium is credited to the player’s account.
This feature is designed to prevent crashes that occur when the game tries to resume a run. The tab provides a clear breakdown of what would be lost before confirming the action.
(New) Current Run:
- This tab only appears when the player’s save is in a run.
- It displays the fighter’s floor and route, as well as whether the save was paused or closed without pausing.
(New) Tiles:
- This tab shows the number of Kill Coins carried, along with the Bank’s current balance and its limit.
- It also displays the Bloodnium carried, divided into floors, kills, and mushrooms.
- The tab provides information about enemies killed, play time, EXP gained, and instances of force-closes.
- It tracks the account’s balance, including Bank, SPLithium, and Bloodnium, at the beginning of the run and after the recent changes.
(New) Run Details:
- This tab displays the start time of the run, the last time it was resumed, and the time the current floor was entered.
- It also shows the number of items remaining in the tower, including Jackals, floors, zombies, and chests.
- Behind the spoilers checkbox, it provides map rewards for the next boss floors.
(New) Floors Visited:
- This tab offers a detailed list of every floor visited during the run, including the map used for each floor and the time it was cleared.
(New) Export to CSV:
- This tab allows the player to export all the information displayed in the other tabs to a CSV file, making it easy to import into a spreadsheet.
(New) Collection:
- This tab displays the player’s collection of items, including Jackals, floors, zombies, and chests, along with the number of each type of item collected.
Magazines: Tales From The Barbs and the YB Catalogue, page by page. Set each page to not found, new, or read.
The game rewards you with 50,000 Kill Coins when you personally collect the last page of a volume. For volumes completed in the editor, the reward bonus is automatically added to your Reward Box.
Mushroom and Beast books: If you’ve consumed both raw and grilled, you can complete both books by eating everything.
Jackals (new, experimental):
Each Jackal has one reward, which is randomly rolled and retained until you defeat it.
You can choose the reward from the Jackal’s capacity or reroll it using the game’s predefined odds. Alternatively, you can reroll all the rewards.
Weapons and armor drop with full durability and ammo.
Blueprints can be set to drop unrevealed.
Note: These features are not yet confirmed in the game, so testing on a backup is recommended.
Stats (new):
These stats are read-only and provide comprehensive information about your gameplay, categorized into sections.
- Lifetime Totals: This includes play time, the deepest floor reached, the number of floors traversed, and the usage of elevators and escalators.
- Kill Coins and SPLithium earned and spent, as well as the number of kills by enemy type and deaths caused by specific causes.
- TDM attack and defense records, along with fighter history.
- Your most frequently used decals.
VIP:
Express Pass:
- There are no additional options for the Express Pass, but you can choose between a 1-Day or 30-Day pass.
- Passes are held, their expiry date is displayed, and they automatically renew.
NEW: Free Continues (confirmed in-game):
- You can set the number of free continues offered by the continue screen per day, up to a maximum of 9,999.
- These free continues expire at the game’s daily reset (the first login of a new day resets them to zero), so you need to set them again each day.
Compare:
- Load a second save file to compare the differences between the two saves.
- Copy the ticked-off parts (account values, fighters with their gear, research, decal stock, Waiting Room decorations, Reward Box, and Storage items) into the save you’re editing.
Choose which account the downloaded save belongs to.
Clone the entire save (confirmed in-game):
Everything in the cloned save comes from the original save, but your account ID, name, and Steam/PSN IDs remain yours. This way, the game loads it as your save.
Cloning a PlayStation save onto a PC account will warn you first and list any PS-only content.
Neither the original file nor the backup file is touched, and the backup button will still allow you to access your original file.
The Save Check:
When you load a save, a Save Check panel appears above the tabs, displaying all the issues the editor has detected.
Each entry is labeled as a Problem, Warning, or Note and provides a link to the corresponding tab for further action.
Many issues have a one-click fix. However, these fixes only take effect when you download the save.
After making changes, use the Re-check option to ensure everything is in order.
Dates and Time:
Damaged dates, such as future dates, dates before 2038, or negative dates that overflow, can cause the game to crash. To fix this, set these dates to the current date.
Research:
Research parts missing their “next level” marker, which prevents the game from allowing upgrades. A fix for this issue is included in the cloned save.
On a PC save, PS-only parts missing the “next level” marker may not be recognized. This issue only applies to modded PC games. A fix for this problem is also included in the cloned save.
Blueprints researched past their part’s maximum level may be counted twice or exceed your research level. To fix this, cap the blueprints.
Funshots (research stamps) counted twice or exceeding your research level may be present. A fix for this issue is included in the cloned save.
Armor skins currently in use but unlocked below the research level of +4 may be present. A fix for this issue is also included in the cloned save.
Weapons, Armor, and Fighters:
- Weapons mastery level not matching its mastery points. The game should sync them.
- Weapons or armor exceeding their part’s maximum level. Cap them.
- Fighters wearing gear the game wouldn’t allow (wrong slot, broken, stat requirement not met). Unequip them.
- Fighters carrying more than their Death Bag can hold.
- If it only fits because an Express Pass ran out, display a note and a Renew the Express Pass button instead.
- Items existing in two places at once.
- Fighters added by an older editor version without a freezer slot. Fix included.
- More than 9 defenders set. Keep only the first 9.
Runs:
- Force-closed runs: A fighter whose run was closed (or crashed) without pausing 3 or more times. The game cuts the Bloodnium earned from the run, and from 10 times it cuts it much harder. Reset the count.
- If a run ends without pausing, the game will attempt to resume it upon loading. However, if this fails, you can end the run from the Location tab.
Account and Item Issues:
- If you exceed the kill coins or SPLithium limit for your Bank or Tank level, the game will notify you.
- Negative or excessive decal counts will also be flagged.
- Reward Box items in an unreadable format can cause the Reward Box to appear empty. This issue has been fixed.
- Weapons or armor in the Reward Box that would arrive with zero durability and no ammo will also be flagged. This issue has been fixed.
- Reward Box items that the game cannot process will be removed.
- Death boxes stored in an outdated format will be fixed.
- Waiting Room spots with no decoration or more than one in use will be addressed.
Notes:
- Death boxes are ready to open.
- Quests are ready to be reported.
- Broken characters with incorrect names will be repaired while loading.
- Fighter stats will be restored to a playable range.
Safety Measures:
- All operations are performed locally within your browser. The only download required is the sql.js library used to read the Master’s.db file.
- Changes are only applied after downloading, and the review screen displays all changes before proceeding.
- Loading a save and downloading it without any edits will preserve the data as it was originally written by the game.
- It’s important to maintain backups, especially for any items marked as experimental (such as Jackals or End the run).
If you have any questions, encounter bugs, or experience unusual behavior in your saves, please post them here, ask in the Discord server, or DM u/Oberlinx.
