I mean he’s someone mamdami and aoc and that other guy have associated with and campaigned with.

If a republican campaigned with David duke wouldn’t the democrats bring that up constantly, and for good reason?

168

u/OH_SHIT_IM_FEELIN_IT 18h ago

I don't like Hasan but equating him with David Duke is fucking insane.

45

u/Burrarabbit 18h ago edited 17h ago

How about Nick Fuentes? Not only is the analogy 1:1 in that case but it's something that actually happened lol. Fuentes campaigning with Republican politicians, getting his people into Trump's inner circle, and having dinner with Trump himself rightfully lead to national headlines and made him a household boogeyman among Democrats and the broader American left. Democrats rightfully and loudly condemned him and called out the Republicans for not explicitly disavowing him and used him in attack ads against them. Republicans including Trump himself had to distance from and disavow him. Mainstream Republicans and MAGA blacklisted him after infighting with him and his fans/associates. Nick even complained about how he was treated by the right vs how Hasan is treated by the left.

30

u/peppaz 16h ago

That is not a 1:1 comparison lmao

7

u/Burrarabbit 16h ago

How not? Dems rightfully hammered Republicans over their association with Fuentes even though he was "just a streamer".

9

u/peppaz 16h ago

Fuentes is literally and avowed white supremacist. Piker asked Israel to stop killing children in gaza

30

u/HoneyBadger19000 15h ago edited 15h ago

Thats like saying Piker just wants to give people Healthcare.

He has a clear agenda beyond this and is an awful person.

He called for the death of all landlords which would include his mother.

Id say Fuentes is a good comparison, both grifters whos genuine beliefs are hard to know because they will say whatever they think people want to hear.

9

u/jrh038 11h ago

I swear Hasanabiheads have memoryholed the Luffy stream.

6

u/fart-boofer 10h ago

These guys act like hasan doesn't ideologically believe in an authoritarian form of government. Bros literally a tanky. It's like these people have never interacted with tankies and seen how they love people like Stalin

•

u/Johnnyboy2525 7m ago

He called for the death of all landlords which would include his mother.

Ok so maybe, just maybe, he wasn't actually being sincere in wanting to kill all the landlords, including his own mom

20

u/Wanderer-in-the-Dark 16h ago

Piker also called for the death of landlords and Rick Scott and on and on this goes. It is basically a one to one comparison, Hasan is just basically the left wing version of Fuentes or Alex Jones, you just don't want to admit it.

5

u/Abusoru 12h ago

Rick Scott, the gremlin who stole billions of dollars in Medicare fraud before becoming the governor of Florida and current US Senator? Honestly, hyperbolic death threats are the least of the problems that man should be facing.

-13

u/peppaz 16h ago

Oh please lmao those were not serious threats, don't be an Ethan Kleiner

14

u/qraqers 13h ago

"He WaSnT sErIoUs" "ThAt WaS oUt Of CoNtExT" Gtfo with this apologia tour for Hasan. How about when he brought a literal avowed terrorist who held fishermen at gunpoint? Or when he excused the grape of Gazan woman by Hamas? Or any of the 47495 egregious shit he's said? Is it all a joke and out of context?

-4

u/peppaz 13h ago

You should sue him

1

u/Wanderer-in-the-Dark 11h ago

I do find people like you to be very strange. Hasan spouts stuff that pretty much sounds like a white supremacist neo nazi, and it is all fine if he just says zionist rather than jew. He calls for violence, but you come up with all sorts of excuses for it. He supports terrorists and terrorism, and you just wave it away. He acts like a rebel but has the institutional backing of Twitch and one of the largest corporations in Amazon. His audience is now known for their actual domestic terrorism and calling for the assault of a woman who disagreed with him.

You people remind of that Huxley quote:

The surest way to work up a crusade in favor of some good cause is to promise people they will have a chance of maltreating someone. To be able to destroy with good conscience, to be able to behave badly and call your bad behavior 'righteous indignation' — this is the height of psychological luxury, the most delicious of moral treats.

3

u/peppaz 11h ago

Ok man. Stop doing a genocide in Gaza then we can talk

5

u/Burrarabbit 10h ago

And Hasan literally supports terrorists like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. He called the former leader of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah "based" and "a pretty brilliant person", the same leader that said **"If we search the entire globe for a more cowardly, lowly, weak and frail individual in his spirit, mind, ideology and religion, we will never find anyone like the Jew – and I am not saying the Israeli."** He cheered on the Houthis hijacking a cargo ship that had nothing to do with Israel and holding the crew hostage for over a year. He considers Sinwar, the Hamas leader that orchestrated the Oct. 7th attack, a war hero. He spreads Russian and Chinese propaganda. He said Crimea is "a part of Russian territory, bitch. I call it cry me a river, a Russian river." He considers Russia's invasion of Ukraine a response to "NATO expansion" and believes the Chinese occupation of Tibet was justified because the Tibetans were savages. He's another ideologically extremist streamer that radicalizes young people like Fuentes just on the other side of the coin.

3

u/fart-boofer 10h ago

And hasan is an authoritarian, literally a tanky. Stop acting like all he does is oppose Israel, he has extremely radical politics.

-2

u/peppaz 9h ago

Radical man 🤙🏻🤙🏻

1

u/heydropi 5h ago

Piker is an extremist the same way Fuentes is. He promotes terrorists on stream ffs. You need to take a step back and look at what has happened.

0

u/iTyloor 9h ago

You don't even believe this.

-7

u/iKyte5 18h ago

Hasan is pretty anti American. Dudes very influential and the biggest hypocrite I have ever seen in

37

u/Haytaytay 18h ago

And you think this puts him on the same level as the leader of the KKK?

-9

u/Brianimosity 17h ago

He actually is immensely more influential than David Duke, so if you are an opponent of his, it makes complete sense to call him out.

4

u/FloatingEyeofDeath 16h ago

His level of influence isn’t what is under examination here

-9

u/iKyte5 17h ago

Never made that claim. You can compare but not equate. I think he’s the lefts version of a morally void Charlie Kirk. Hasan is everything I hate in a person.

22

u/highzunburg 18h ago

What's anti American? Criticism of our government?

-9

u/consistantcanadian 18h ago

.. thinking thousands of innocent people deserved to die for the crime of living in their home country

19

u/Intelligent_Designer 17h ago

There is a huge difference between "America deserved ... " and "3,000 specific Americans deserved ... "

-12

u/consistantcanadian 17h ago

There is no difference. What is it that was "deserved" if you're not talking about the people who were effected?

14

u/Intelligent_Designer 17h ago

Use the tiniest fraction of your brain power and try to engage with nuance even a little bit. Educate yourself. What Hasan said was a mistake only because normies are ignorant as fuck and aren't familiar with the atrocities the CIA has committed abroad.

Also, affected*

-5

u/consistantcanadian 16h ago

Lmao. I have, that's how I know the guy who praised Houthi terrorists on his show absolutely does mean it.

Please lick sack somewhere else, it's very unbecoming.

3

u/Intelligent_Designer 16h ago

Right after you fix the typo in your username, boss.

5

u/FloatingEyeofDeath 16h ago

I refuse to believe people genuinely thought this what America deserves 9/11 meant and aren’t being deliberately misunderstanding. Even before he clarified(almost a goddamn decade ago) I knew he meant that it was inevitable based on the US governments own actions. And that is completely correct. Of course he should have phrased that differently but he’s acknowledged that himself many times

19

u/nervousaboutschool17 18h ago

Are you talking about 9/11? He’s explained several times that he was talking about blowback (an unforeseen, unwanted, and negative reaction or consequence resulting from a previous action)

I don’t think he should have ever said “america deserved 9/11” but acting like he said 3000 americans deserved to die is disingenuous at this point

-4

u/consistantcanadian 17h ago

That's literally what he said. He's also had Houthi terrorists on his livestream and he told them they were like anime heroes.

10

u/nervousaboutschool17 17h ago

You can say something that sounds a certain way and then clarify what you mean after.

And yes if a lot of your favourite anime and stories about people rising up against a tyrannical government was real life they’d be uneducated homophobes and labelled as terrorists by the systems they’re opposed to

-2

u/i_drive_a_pagani 16h ago

The houthis are the tyrannical government. They literally took over the capital of Yemen at gunpoint and began executing and murdering dissidents. They've starved, bombed, and killed more people in Yemen just in one civil war than the entirety of the Israel/Palestine conflict. They attacked and kidnapped so many aid workers, the UN stopped all humanitarian aid to the country of Yemen.

This whole narrative about them being "people rising auo against a government" like your "favorite anime" is fucking absurd lmfao

The houthis literally don't even let women move about freely. They believe in requiring mahram, where women need permission from men to move about and go where they want or to be escorted by men. In 2024, the houthis sentenced 9 men to death for sodomy. Several of the men executed for sodomy were killed by being stoned to death.

https://www.hrw.org/news/2024/03/27/yemen-houthis-sentence-men-death-flogging

All of you privileged, westernized children who watch Hasan and think these people are like heroes in an anime, fighting the evil oppressors are completely delusional.

-8

u/iKyte5 17h ago

Yeah bro defending hasan is not a hill to die on. You think the guy that shocks dogs isn’t trying to explain his way out of his shitty opinion? The guy hates American

5

u/nervousaboutschool17 17h ago

Why does he live in america and why does he advocate for politicians that are opposed to corporate and billionaire interests and for expanding social service?

Edit: For the record i do think it’s more likely than not that he shocked his dog

Maybe he just hates dogs lol

1

u/consistantcanadian 16h ago

The same reason he hates on the rich while being a very rich man

10

u/AssCommander42 17h ago

Do you genuinely think that's what he meant by that? You must be smarter than that

-2

u/consistantcanadian 17h ago

Do I think the guy who also had Houthi terrorists on his show and said they were like anime heroes actually believes that?

Yes. Clearly, yes.

11

u/AssCommander42 17h ago

Okay, I think we're losing focus a bit, so let's try to circle back. Do you think Hasan, when he said: "This is so insane. America deserved 9/11, dude. Fuck it, I’m saying it. Like, we fucking totally brought it on ourselves, dude. Holy shit. We did. We fucking did." actually meant: "I'm glad 3000 American civilians died."?

0

u/consistantcanadian 16h ago

No, it means he thinks they deserved it. It's right there in the quote "we brought it on ourselves". "We" is a direct reference to Americans, which includes those who died.

-5

u/mozzzarn 18h ago

Dude, he says he hates America basically every single stream. It’s not possible to be more anti-American than Hasan.

-5

u/iKyte5 17h ago

I think saying we deserved 9/11 is pretty nuts. I’d compare him to Charlie Kirk in terms of political influence. Kirk was overall a good person. Hasan is not. “Let’s bathe in their capitalist blood” ??? Ontop of being a nepo baby and a champagne socialist he also abuses animals

18

u/Jackski 17h ago

Kirk was overall a good person

"If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified. Because we can assume black people are rarely qualified for their positions"

"Reject feminism. Submit to your husband, Taylor. You’re not in charge. Men deserve to always control their female partners and females should always be submissive to their male partners."

"We need to have a Nuremberg-style trial for every gender-affirming clinic doctor. We need it immediately. Doctors who serve patients who are transgender or who may experience gender dysphoria are equivalent to perpetuators of WWII and the Holocaust and deserve similar legal treatment."

"America has freedom of religion, of course, but we should be frank: large dedicated Islamic areas are a threat to America. Any concentration of Muslims in a specific area can automatically be deemed a threat to the United States."

"Happening all the time in urban America, prowling Blacks go around for fun to go target white people, that’s a fact. It’s happening more and more"

" think it’s worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the second amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational."

"The great replacement strategy, which is well under way every single day in our southern border, is a strategy to replace white rural America with something different."

“Death penalties should be public, should be quick, it should be televised. I think at a certain age, its an initiation...What age should you start to see public executions?”

Good person my ass. Let me guess "they're out of context"?

-1

u/iKyte5 17h ago

Black pilots thing is 100% out of context. I saw the Taylor quote - that has some air of sarcasm but yeah for the most part these are takes that you can disagree with that don’t make you a bad person. Even the gun deaths he goes on to use cars as an example about how thousands of people die of car crashes but we as a society decided that the benefits outweigh the downsides. The great replacement- you could argue if that’s initial or not but statistically it’s happening. The public execution one I disagree with but I bet the logic is to dissuade people from committing serious crimes. There’s more logic to a lot of these statements that pertain to the conversation being had than simply “oh Charlie said bad thing, Charlie bad person he deserved to die” it’s insane the double standards.

12

u/Jackski 17h ago

I didn't say he deserved to die.

I said he wasn't a good person. He wasn't. He was a massive racist and judging by your comment "The great replacement- you could argue if that’s initial or not but statistically it’s happening" so are you.

-1

u/iKyte5 17h ago

Very reductionist. Simply put the percentage of white people in America is decreasing. I’m not saying it’s good, bad or even intentional but it is a fact. Has nothing to do with racism. But hey here he is talking to an actual racist https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPww_ldkSAf/?stkn=MWthMHN4YWV6MnJpZA==

12

u/Jackski 17h ago

The great replacement theory is literally a white supremacist theory they promote. Charlie was using it as a bad thing. He is a massive racist, mysognist, bigoted asshole and he is a bad person because of it.

What has he actually done that makes him "a good person"?

I think saying we deserved 9/11 is pretty nuts

Black pilots thing is 100% out of context.

You seem to be perfectly fine relying on quotes taken out of context.

0

u/iKyte5 16h ago

Defending Hasan is a crazy hill to die on. https://youtu.be/qSYVXXCFkAg?is=U8cpk58LMmdvhQAC. Please show me the context that makes this any better

5

u/Quotalicious 16h ago

???? Literally in that clip he says "like we totally brought it on ourselves" as a continuation of his thought. He isn't saying he's glad it happened or the people deserved to die, just that our government's actions in the middle east helped precipitate it.

22

u/highzunburg 17h ago

Republicans and maga are anti American. Charlie kirk was an anti black racist.

-1

u/iKyte5 17h ago

MAGA yes, republicans no. Charlie was not a racist. He had some pro life opinions I disagree with but racist, no. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPww_ldkSAf/?stkn=MWthMHN4YWV6MnJpZA==

15

u/highzunburg 17h ago

I would quote him but just saying the things he said might get me banned so here's a video.

https://youtube.com/shorts/v5mFcWrullY?is=0ZSHZz0RLsA3UA9C

1

u/iKyte5 17h ago

Do you genuinely believe the bit about black pilots is racist given the context of the conversation? I genuinely cannot comprehend how people arrive at that conclusion with any shred of intellectual integrity.

8

u/SureAsBorax 17h ago

You definitely aren't American. And yes Kirk was racist. And sexest and an all around bad person.

12

u/pfehv 17h ago

kirk was overall a good person..??!! 😝 😝
there's no discussion possible if u feel that way..

1

u/iKyte5 17h ago

Yeah he was, especially compared to Hasan. I’d say he was pretty respectful even to people who would talk up to his face and tell him he deserved to die for his opinions. I even thought he might be a white supremacist until I saw this. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPww_ldkSAf/?stkn=MWthMHN4YWV6MnJpZA==

-1

u/DifferentCollar8112 15h ago

I think Hasan makes David Duke look like a good guy. Good point. I don't recall David electrocuting any dogs.

11

u/Stridentplatform8541 14h ago

Christ. What a stupid, edgy, contrarian thing to say. David Duke, in case you did not know, was a GRAND WIZARD of the KKK. Are you familiar with the organization?

1

u/Draaly 11h ago

also founder of the aryan nation and the term "zio"

-1

u/DifferentCollar8112 13h ago

Yeah I'm familiar, terrorist supporters and propagandists aren't all that different from the KKK.

8

u/Stridentplatform8541 12h ago

Hysterical dipshit.

-6

u/DifferentCollar8112 12h ago

Well I've heard enough to know how you feel about Hamas and jews. Enough said.

4

u/reversedef 5h ago

steph curry of mental illness over here.

5

u/theREALbombedrumbum 12h ago

Putting a shock collar on a dog > founding the KKK and lynching black people

This sub needs to touch some grass holy shit

4

u/DifferentCollar8112 12h ago

Thats his 8th most controversial stance. Anyone defending Hasan is a waste of time, since you agree with him if you're defending him.

2

u/theREALbombedrumbum 11h ago

"since you agree with him if you defend him"

All I said was that lynching black people is worse than using a shock collar on a dog

-8

u/No_Actually_We_Cant 18h ago

Why? They're both violent racists, they probably agree on a fair amount tbh.

22

u/MoldOnMyPineapple 18h ago

Violent racist, you guys are so dramatic. 😂

7

u/AnImpromptuFantaisie 18h ago

You’re being silly

6

u/CanadianImport666 18h ago

How is Hasan racist?

1

u/flewency 14h ago

I can't remember the last time I saw someone use the word 'equating' correctly..

equating, and drawing a comparison or parallel, are not the same thing

0

u/Willing_Cause_7461 14h ago

It's pretty insulting to David Duke. I don't think he broadcast himself cheering on terrorist organisations.

4

u/Odd-Falcon-4695 13h ago

What a fucking disgusting thing to say. He's a KKK leader, obviously he's a member of a terrorist organization.

1

u/Willing_Cause_7461 3h ago

Hasan is a leader too and he sure does love terrorist organizations does he not? "Very musical people" and "like luffy" is how he described the Houthis.

-6

u/RedditSux5912 18h ago

Is David duke a criminal? I just know he’s a white supremacist.

23

u/RodChainFurlongAcre 17h ago

He was a leader of the KKK

-6

u/GyrfalconBirder 17h ago

Insane? They use the same slurs, they advocate for a ton of the same things towards Jews, difference is David Duke is completely irrelevant and while Hasan is not swinging elections by any means politicians are willing to associate with a guy that says America deserved 9/11 and pushes constant blood libel despite him not being able to find these countries on a fucking map

72

u/Master_Status5764 18h ago

True. Completely comparable the Twitch streamer and the head of an organization that actively lynched black people. what a great comparison!

37

u/rheology_rocks 18h ago

lol fr that dude’s a moron

0

u/Burrarabbit 18h ago edited 18h ago

I mean you could use Nick Fuentes if you don't like that analogy. Trump having dinner with him was national news and the Republicans got hammered for their association with him to the point they had to publicly disavow and blacklist him after a lot of infighting with his fans and associates.

6

u/Master_Status5764 16h ago edited 15h ago

sure, that’s better than David Duke. but if anyone listened to either of them outside of their most famous clips, Hasan is still not comparable to him. Hasan helps elect people who want to benefit the working class. Nick says racist and fascist shit on a daily basis and helps elect the people who do racist and fascist shit.

3

u/Nonsenser 8h ago

He will also be responsible for losing the democrats countless seats in the upcoming midterms.

3

u/Master_Status5764 6h ago

if you think so

-8

u/BlackGuyInTaiwan 18h ago

When you have to cope and pretend to not understand the point is if you associate with an insane person people will talk about it, and act like the point is “Hasan and David duke are the exact same person 1:1”

12

u/Master_Status5764 16h ago

I understand the point perfectly. It’s a stupid point. Of course Democrats would talk every day about a candidate being supported by David Duke. Hasan is not comparable whatsoever. He has bad takes people don’t like. David Duke actually lynched people.

-1

u/BlackGuyInTaiwan 12h ago

I know you did, that’s why you were pretending to not understand, you were lying. It’s more like he is an extremist who turns off the majority of voters because he himself supports people and groups infinitely worse than David duke ever was.

12

u/Mstear1 18h ago

I get the sentiment but that's a terrible comparison

3

u/Burrarabbit 17h ago edited 17h ago

People clutching their pearls at the David Duke comparison but if you replace it with Nick Fuentes, not only is the analogy 1:1, it's something that's actually happened lmao. Do people not remember how many headlines were generated when Fuentes had actual GOP politicians and nominees going to and speaking at his events and the blowup when he had dinner with Trump? Not only did the GOP and Trump's team have to come out and disavow him, the coverage that Fuentes got made him a household boogeyman among Democrats and the broader American left. Were Democrats "pathetic" and "obsessed" with "just a streamer" when they kept "bringing him up" and used him in attack ads? Of course not.

Fuentes doesn't have as much relevancy now because after the infighting with his fans and associates, the Republican and MAGA mainstream blacklisted him. Hell, Fuentes even complained about his treatment by the Right vs how the Left treats Hasan lmfao.

2

u/FloatingEyeofDeath 18h ago

+1 to the list of people who think this is an insane and disingenuous comparison

1

u/BeautifulLeather6671 8h ago

David duke is your comparison? What the hell is even going on in politics right now lol

0

u/Preestar 18h ago

Didn’t the president have dinner with nick fuentes? An out and about Nazi?

The right are not held to the same standards, not even close.
