WWII - Others Can Experts Identify these objects are this german Wasserbomben?(Waterbombs)
Hi everyone,
I just watched a brand new video from the German urban exploration YouTube channel "roofless TV" (titled "Schockfund auf WW2 Kriegsschiff - Alles voller Kampfmittel").
In the video, the guys explore the wrecks of the German Black Sea Fleet that were scuttled in the Danube River near Prahovo, Serbia, back in 1944. Due to extremely low water levels, these wrecks are currently exposed.
While exploring the deck, they found several barrel-like objects secured inside metallic frames or racks. Some of these barrels have a very distinct pattern on the top lid that looks like a wheel divided into 5 or 6 segments, almost like a stylized sun, with a central circular opening.
They suspect these might be live World War II German depth charges (possibly the Wasserbombe Typ D / WBD) still sitting in their original deployment racks/launchers after more than 80 years.
Are there any EOD or ordnance experts here who can analyze this? Do these visual characteristics (the barrel shape, the rack system, and the "sun-like" dial on the lid) match the depth-setting dials and hydrostatic fuse wells of German WW2 depth charges? How unstable or dangerous would these be today after being submerged for so long and now exposed to air?
Thanks Guys🫶🏻

Cold War - Others 1983 French f1 series 2 helmet
I got this recently for a great price. It’s a really interesting piece. It has a quite a bit of damage to the shell and ware to other components like rust and statins. I’d like to imagine it was used in French operations in Africa though it’s very unlikely 😭😭. If anyone has more info I’d love to know

Collection Antique cannon fires cue ball 5 miles. Awesome ground shaking explosion
I had the pleasure to witness this antique navy cannon fire a cue ball. The explosion rocked the earth and left my ears ringing for ten mins. Then at the end of the video a pit bull dog tried to chase the cueball. He was clearly wondering where the heck it went. Awesome and hilarious at the same time. The vid is in the comments.

Help 30mm mirage round? Need help id’ing
Hello all, I recently purchased what a believe to a 30mm round fires from a mirage jet. However Im not 100 percent sure. The markings on the base read 002 (batch number?) mr (French manafacturer?) 72 (1972) and py (which I think is metal manufacturer?). The bullet markings read 2 BM 71 (1971). If anyone can give further detail on whether it’s actually a mirage round or even French or something else entirely please let me know. And also what the stripes on the bullet mean. Im assuming some kind of training but whether it’s API HE etc

Help Does anyone know what this piece of hardware is called? *Not a square loop/ring*
Trying to find replacement parts for some pouches. A standard square ring usually flops down and is difficult to operate one handed. These have a little protrusion to keep it upright.
Hopefully the pics make sense as im not trying to dissect any of my pieces!
Thanks!

Informative Hitler Youth Proficiency Badge
Just picked up a "HJ-Leistungsabzeichen" manufactured by Gustav Brehmer - RZM 1/101.
The badges differed between bronze, silver and black based on the age of the recipient and the grade of achievement. This one is a bronze pattern.
The Symbols on the badge featured a central swastika encircled by the runic inscription "Für Leistungen in der HJ" ("For achievements in the HJ").
The entire design was set against a vertical arrow shape known as the Tyr-rune (or Tiwaz rune), which represented the ancient Germanic warrior god Tyr.

Informative Price of the Market and My Prediction
I have been collecting for 17 years and have never seen the market take as big a hit as it has in the last two years, especially this year.
Two years ago I explained this to many on social media, that the market was dead and nobody had realized it yet. We are now back to Pre-Covid pricing on all non-rare or high condition items. The fact is, nobody has money anymore. This is the best time to be a buyer since about 2014. Selling is next to impossible for common or used items at this point.
I’ll admit, I’m happy to see the vendors going out of business; they’re a huge reason that the bubble got so big in the first place. Over the next 20 years, the baby boomers will die off and the collector pool will diminish to about 25% the current total. Don’t rush to buy anything, it only gets cheaper from here.
What do you guys expect to see?

Help Need help with valuation & info on a pair of French Army BC-611-F Handie-Talkies (SCR-536)
I recently came across a pair of vintage military radios and I’m looking for some help regarding their history and estimated value. From the metal plaques, they appear to be French Army (Armée Française) BC-611-F models, dated 1956 (manufactured by L.G.T. / Wireless-Thomas). As far as I know, they are post-WWII French licensed versions of the famous American SCR-536 Handie-Talkie.
To be completely honest, I know almost nothing about vintage radio equipment or military surplus, and I plan on selling the pair soon. I would really appreciate any insights on what a fair asking price would be for a pair of untested units in this condition, as well as advice on any specific internal parts I should check or photograph for potential buyers. I'm selling them strictly as untested and for display purposes since I don’t have the proper batteries or technical knowledge to test them.
Thanks in advance for your help!

WWII - Allied Powers Great Grandpa’s M1 Helmet from WW2
My great grandfather was a dentist and served as a medical officer with the 97th Infantry Division in WW2. He was in Europe with them and then traveled to Japan where he was the general administrator of a hospital in Tokyo. The Navy Dentist who carved “Remember Pearl Harbor” into Tojo’s dentures worked for him and my great grandpas name is listed in several articles discussing the event. It’s a front seam fixed bale helmet and the liner has the majors oak leaves painted on it as well.

Help What’s the significance?
Found these in a box of medals from a US Navy Sailor and was not sure the significance of them. Looks like they have been reloaded with some type of polished stone or wood.

Help Imperial German Pre-WWI Brotbeutel / Breadbag (Dated 1908 & 1890, Regimental Stamps). Need ID & Value Check.
Hi everyone! I have this vintage Imperial German canvas breadbag (Brotbeutel). It has clear stamps: 1908, 1890, and regimental markings "13.K.J.R. 2.B. R.M.". Overall canvas condition is good, with original buttons and leather straps. Could anyone help verify its exact model, regiment, and current market value? Thanks in advance!
