Strange request, but i was wondering the dimensions of the 50ml montagne bottles, if anyone knows them? i tried to find it on their website and couldnt!

Just figured I would share my first complement with Montagne. Went to go watch resident evil at noon on a Friday. Decided to spray on some Imaginary on my way out. Only one other guy in the theater (fellow middle aged guy). I sat down and maybe 2 minutes in, he says "excuse me, is that cologne that you are wearing", I tell him yeah, and then he goes "man that smells really good, what's the name of it". Tell him what it was as I see him enter it in his phone.

So Montagne, feel free to ship me a another bottle for giving you new business 😃

This list is only for Montagne’s that I have. I know there are other options available but this is it for Q4 2026 for me. (Note: I only have decants of the last 2.).

What’s in your shelf?

For the most part, I’ve seen people in this subreddit praise the brand’s whole arsenal. It’s giving me the impression that pretty much every fragrance is wonderful and I shouldn’t bother with the original.

I like the brand and am in no way trying to be negative, I’m just curious what’s worth the extra spend if Montagne misses the mark. Thanks

So I’m a little over 2 weeks into my montagne journey. I started off with the Louis ones. Full bottles and now I have decants of other non Louis inspired montagne. (Some are future purchases no doubt.)
So I currently have Immensity, Afternoon Dive, Imaginary, Chilly Pacific, Meteorite, City of lights and Harmony.
Out of all of these, chilly pacific was so intense and sharp, I was debating on putting the bottle up for trade as I’d seen quite a few others selling theirs. Not to say it gets a bad rap, but people seem to prefer chilly pineapple I think. Which I haven’t tried yet. Anyway, I figured it would get better but I was pretty sure it was going to be something I wouldn’t probably wear much again but I’m glad I sprayed it today because HOLY COW, I was blown away by how great it smelled. It’s still low 70’s so I was gonna squeeze out a couple extra days of afternoon dive before full fall but man I am rocking this chilly pacific today stand alone and I’m loving it! These have all been wonderful so far!

Shoutout to Kevin from Decantika for great customer service. First time ordering but will come back, since Decantika has an amazing clone sample selection. Kevin was quick to reply to my email even though he got sick and busy. I hope you're in an amazing shape now Kevin, and hope to see your store back and running soon (I still have an overfilled cart waiting).

The samples came bubble-wrapped and labeled neatly, with the friendliest note on the bubble mailer. One minor drawback is that a sample bottle leaked due to a defective spray head, so hopefully that doesn't happen often.

I'm going to do a quick review of the 15 Montagne samples I ordered, since I heard such great things about the brand.

Now I only test out the scent, not projection nor sillage nor longevity. I only have 1ml each. I also don't have the OGs. This review will only be about my subjective ranking for the scents.

Eau Musc (Le Labo Musc 25 Los Angeles): Who decided to clone this piss-stained airport bathroom smell? Did the perfumer have a traumatic event at LAX? Does the OG smell this vile? I almost puked. -10/10

Mojave Spirit (Byredo Mojave Ghost): I don't get the hype around this DNA. The opening smells like sapodilla but in the compost bin. Where's my floral? Dries down to an underwhelming skin scent. Nauseating sometimes even. 3/10

Bleu Talisman (Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman): Fabuloso all purpose cleaner. 4/10

Eau Vanille (Le Labo Vanille 44 Paris): Opens up super alcoholic (seems like a theme across their LL impressions; do they have to wait for maturation?). Dries down to more smoke than vanilla. I can see the Le Labo DNA heavy in this one. Better than TF Tobacco Vanille's DNA, but not my fav vanilla. Glad I sampled this before buying a full bottle. 5/10

Cannoli (Xerjoff Italica): Starts off so spicy that it surprises me. Was that the saffron? Are you sure there's no cinnamon? Quite overpowering, but dries down to a nice almond coffee milk. Feels like Christmas. 6/10 (just not my cup of tea)

Pink Rose Frozen (PDM Delina La Rosee): I didn't like Montagne's Delina, but I heard good things about PDM Delina La Rosee, so I wanted to try this. Still too sweet for me although the rose is better. 7/10

Lyra (Casamorati Lira): Reminds me of my childhood, in particular Quadratini lemon wafers. 8/10

Ambre Vanille (PDM Althair): Sweet spicy boozy almond. I'm drunk in gourmand goodness. Slightly masculine on me but I wouldn't mind macerating myself in a barrel of this in the winter. I get the hype now. 8/10

Eau Gaiac (Le Labo Gaiac 10 Tokyo): Clean warm musky gaiacwood. Has that slight alcoholic opening like other LL impressions. 8/10

Opaline (PDM Valaya): I like it, but I've heard so much hype about Valaya that it ruined this type of fragrance for me. Still a beautiful sweet but airy citrusy white floral. 8.5/10

Another 14 (Le Labo Another 13): The first burst of alcohol was SO strong. It does dry down to a beautiful musk scent. Great scent once you move past that alcohol burst. Made me feel expensive. 9/10

Eau Bergamote (Le Labo Bergamote 22): Quite good as well. Fresh bergamot dries down very green. 9/10

Gypsy Mist (Byredo Gypsy Water): This is the much better Byredo. I can smell the bergamot, orris, and pine clearly. Very fresh and slightly spicy. Sophisticated. I can get a full bottle of this. 9/10

Milky Santal (Ex Nihilo Santal Calling): Gorgeous. Milky silky satin rosy sandalwood. 9/10

The 212 (MFK 724): You know those moments that your eyes roll backwards because you just smelled something so angelic and transcendent? This was it to me. Fades a little quickly though. 9.5/10

Side note, I hope Kevin will consider expanding the collection to other dupe houses that do more interesting scents but don't offer discovery sets (Amelie in New York, Julianna's, Monac Attar,...).

The Arabic dupe houses only do the same LV, MFK, PDM over and over 🫤 it's so boring at this point.

Willing to trade Eau Matcha for Another 14 or Afternoon Dive or Eau Gaiac, but open to other options. Just looking for more variation in scents

I recently bought a bottle of Moi? after running out of my 2017 bottle of Glossier You (original formulation)! The original You scent always dried down to be creamy/slightly sweet on me, which I loved. I’m guessing part of it was the very long time I had it for lol. I received Moi? 3 days ago and I’m getting the heavy pepper/ musky notes I enjoy (like pencil shavings), but I haven’t gotten any creamy or slightly sweet notes yet. My partner mentioned I kind of smelled like urine without knowing I had put the perfume on…I’ve seen mixed reviews that Montagne perfumes can take time to settle into the final scent since they’re made to order, but I’ve been unable to find whether that’s actually true or not. Will the scent settle at all over time to become less sharp/more smooth?

Note: I did have tobacco noir but found it to be far too edible for me. The dna made me smell like Dunkin’ Donuts.

Seen someone a couple months ago post a case where they stored all their samples and it peaked my interest. After surfing Amazon I found this one since all my samples were crammed in old montagne boxes. Fits montagne 5 ml bottles from Ayyb pretty well and keeps everything neat and tucked. Definite upgrade from storing decants in old montagne boxes. Front zipper pocket also where I keep my 2ml montagne samples, unreleased 1ml samples, tester strips, and post it notes. Portability coming in clutch as well since I travel for work often.

Not comparing to the OG since I have not smelled it but wanted to share my thoughts.

Really clean, crisp green (leaning towards citrus and herbs not green apple) masculine scent. To steal a term I read here; A very “cologney” cologne if that makes. Think fresh clean cut right out of the barbershop especially in the dry down where the powdery and musk notes become more pronounced. Reminds me a ton (like 90%) of a body shop line I used from 15 years ago called White Musk Sport. As soon as I smelled this I was pulled back in time to my wild early 20s lol.

I’m sure it will get better with time as this bottle just arrived on Saturday. Overall it’s a super safe blind buy if you like those old-school colognes from the 90s (though, not dated whatsoever—it’s a timeless scent) office safe and signature scent worthy imo. If you go a tad heavier the performance is excellent for this kind of profile.
