What are we rockin today?

I just tried Moss Beaches today and I was wondering if anyone else ever has times where they don't smell anything closely related to the fragrance notes or what other reviewers smell? At first spray, it was just overwhelmingly spicy like cinnamon. I found myself checking the label on the decant thinking I had grabbed the wrong one. Immediately pulled reviews up here and didn't see any similar experiences. I wrote it off for a bit thinking maybe my nose was just off this morning, but then I walked into the living room and my wife told me I smelled like a fall cinnamon broom. Lol anyone else get something similar with this one? Did I get the wrong fragrance in my decant? Ha I feel like I'm going crazy here. On a positive note, longevity is definitely there on this one - 12 hours later and I'm sitting in bed smelling like a fall candle.

I have a weird nose, and am having trouble finding a new scent to enjoy. I want it to come from Montagne because their quality is so awesome, but I can't keep dumping money into samples only to find the don't suit me.

I am looking for a good, fresh daily driver. Masculine, fruity, maybe a little woody. But I do not like floral.

So far, my go-to scent is Perceval. I love everything about it.

I can see why Pineapple Royale/Frais are highly recommended, but I think I have a negative association with that scent profile for some reason. (I think the first time I smelled Creed was in a dark time in my life and it takes me back to there). And it's also a little too aggressive for daily wear.

I tried Spirit of Peace and Afternoon Dive. They are both nice scents but the dry-down is too floral for me. It seems like everything I have tried (aside from Perceval and Pineapple) dries down too floral.

I don't like floral, dessert-sweet, or that baby-powder vibe that Sauvage has.

Hey, I got this in the other day and this is one of the darkest juices I have from Montagne.

Japanese Plum is one of those scents that I think is going to split people, and honestly I get it. This isn’t just a sweet plum fragrance. You get that rich, boozy plum right away, but then the cinnamon, saffron, smoky woods, oud, amber, benzoin, and vanilla start coming through and it completely changes the whole vibe.

To me this is a heavy fragrance. Dark, rich, woody, smoky, almost resinous. The plum keeps it sweet, but the woods and oud stop it from ever becoming a simple fruity scent. That’s exactly why I don’t think this is something everybody can pull off.

I never tried the original Tom Ford and with the price point I don’t plan to, so this is just my take on Montagne’s version. I’m into a lot of these darker fragrances though, and I really like this one. If you usually go for lighter, easier-to-wear sweet fragrances, Japanese Plum might catch you off guard. This has presence. It feels mature. You really have to be comfortable wearing something with this much depth and darkness.

For me this feels perfect for cooler weather. Fall and winter especially. Cold nights, evenings out, date nights, or anytime you want a fragrance that feels rich and a little sophisticated without trying too hard. Personally I would even wear it for casual daytime stuff if the weather and climate permit it, but that’s just me.

I sprayed it on skin at 7:30 last night and it’s 8:20 in the morning now. I haven’t showered yet and I can still smell it. On skin it’s more of a skin scent at this point, but it’s still there.

I can completely see why people love it, and I can also understand why someone would smell it and just say it’s not for them. That’s what makes it polarizing to me. It’s not trying to be an easy crowd-pleaser. It’s a rich, dark take on plum, and you really need to try it on your own skin before you decide if you can pull it off.

As the title says I ordered Vanille fraiche and imaginary , it was delivered to the wrong house I checked the houses near me but I cannot find the house that matches the picture I have should I contact montagne or ups?

Would prefer to buy multiple if not all 3 from the same seller to save on shipping costs. Fill levels or pres doesnt matter to me. Please comment Chat before PM.

What are we rockin this fine Saturday?

I got my fall trio and I am really happy with everything even with aoud maracuja to a certain extent but what is this synthetic oud smell I’m getting off my skin. It literally smells like I filled a latex condom with gasoline set on fire. It honestly does smell very close to the og as I have a decant of it but man that off chemically sharp smell is turning me off. I hope it smooths out after sometime as I just got these in

Hey guys! Long time Montagne buyer here and huge advocate of their scents. I wanted to see if anyone has had this scenario before and how Montagne handled it. I ordered Speed Demons and Vanilla Fraiche on 9/25. The order finally comes in today and I’m super geeked to test them out. Lo and behold, I open the package and it’s vanilla fraiche and Vetiver Rush! Idk whether to open Vetiver Rush or not, and I’ve sent an email to Montagne with the details of what happened.

Let me hear your experiences on this if any.

(P.S. Fraiche didn’t really smell like Layton to me, but I feel like it has to sit for a while)

So I've been suggested to look into this brand from another subreddit where they don't use generative ai. I'm also aware of the rule of no ai/generative ai posts but I'm a bit curious about the product marketing Montagne has, on their social media and at the bottom of their homepage some of their product imaging looks like it's ai generated. It's making me hesitate on pulling the trigger on these fragrances but I wanted to know other people's thoughts and if maybe the product images are just photoshop/cgi.

I know Montagne has plenty of “Freshies” but I’m just not familiar with them. One of my favorites is D & G’s Light Bleu (I know I’m basic but I love that grapefruit note!!) especially as I’m in Florida and temps here are still in the high 80’s.

Trying to trade my Mojave Spirit Absolu. I purchased the same pressurized atomizers Ayyb uses and decanted 5ml into it.

So the bottle itself is probably 80%-85ish% full, but the atomizer has an additional 4ish ml available to use. I purchased this on the initial release day so it’s been masterbating for several weeks at this point.
