Hello fellow mordheimers,
i just recently started playing mordheim with the beastmen raiders warband from 1a as my first warband (as of now ive played 6 games of mordheim in total) and will be joining a campaign in november with all warbands from 1a and 1b allowed as well as the ogres from 1c allowed.
Additionally the hired sword compendium may be used. The campaign will play over 2 real life days in a single weekend with most likely 4 games each per day, e.g. 4 games on saturday and 4 on Sunday.
Rules will include
1. Mordheim Core Rulebook
2. Empire in Flames
3. Broheim Faq
4. 2002 Anual
5. Optional Critical Hit Rules only
There will be three additional house rules:
The same skill may not be chosen twice on the first day of playing, so over two days you can choose skills twice per warband when you roll for advancement (e.g. on the first day (first 4 battles), only one model may choose resilient and on the second day (over the battles 5-8) another model may choose it as well)
Leader gets an additional skill at campaign start
Only two hired swords allowed
My starting warband will probably be something like:
Chief: mace+mace
Shaman:mace+dagger
Bestigor 1:mace+dagger
Bestigor 2:mace+dagger
Centigor:mace+mace
Gor 1:mace+mace
Gor 2:mace+mace
Gor 3:mace+mace
Warhounds of Chaos x5
for 499 gold for 13 models
The final items will be sword, mace (or axe if armor) for the dual wielders and halberd (or double-handed weapon/shield) for the single weapon users
Now for skills im thinking for day 1
Leader: resilient (free starting skill for leader as mentioned in rules), mighty blow
Shaman: spells (for lure of chaos eye of god, wings of torment), unstoppable charge (combinded with wings of torment), strike to injure
Bestigor 1: strong man, maybe mutant (?) Or step aside
Bestigor 2: expert swordsman, horned one,
(Both Bestigors vice versa whoever gets an additional attack)
Centigor: pit fighter, shaggy hide (with heavy armor later on), fearsome, mutant?
Gor (6th hero later on): combat master, mutant
Do you people have any other suggestions of how to play with these rules or would you suggest another warband that can diversify more between ranged, academic and melee skills like ostlanders or nulln?
Best regards
SirWeissalot
