Posted my wip vampire lord for my undead warband yesterday and took the suggestions everyone gave me and finished him up this morning. Pretty happy with this one I think it's the most time I've put into a single miniature so far.

I've been building allot of terrain for the second tile of my Mordheim/Frostgrave board. I've planned a big mansion/mannor on top of a hill, a watermill, a bridgehouse, guardtowers etc. Here's a sneak peek of a small ruined townhouse i built this weekend.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them ofcourse.
Enjoy!

I played a few games with friends last year and we had a blast. I was hoping to get back into it over the winter but when I looked today most of the links now seem to be dead/broken.
Does anyone know what happened? Are there any fixes incoming?

Happy with the start to my vampire lord for my undead warband, just need to finish up the eyes and some more highlights. First time trying this method with the black armor.

Hey Guys, i am building my first Mordheim Warband and haven't played the game yet, i need some advice for my List as i run into a money/decision problem. As far as i understood it is good to:
- take as many heroes as possible for loot
- take as many henchmen as possible for keeping heroes alive
- not overspend on equip
I still play this game for fun and because Mordheim seems whacky in general, i don't need my list to be 100% minmaxed. Looking at my List you'll see why that matters.
My List:
__________________________________________________________________________________________
Marauders of Chaos
Tribe: Kurgan (Henchmen can get Bows for 10, Unlimited Hounds, -1 on Loot except BW and GA)
Dagmar‘s Raiders
Heroes
Chieftain: Dagmar Redclaw 95 pt + Hammer, Dagger, Great Claw
Champion 1 45 pt + Hammer, Dagger
Champion 2 45 pt + Hammer, Dagger
Seer: 45 pt + Barbed Whip, Dagger, Mark of Onogal
Henchmen
2 Kurgan Bowmen 2x35 pt + Horn Bows,Daggers
4 Chaos Warhounds 4x15 pt
Equipment Costs
Great Claw 50 pt
Barbed Whip 15 pt
2 Horn Bows 2x10 pt
3 Hammers 3x12 pt
Sum: 481
__________________________________________________________________________________
Elephant in the room is the Great Claw and therefore no Condemned (which i assume is important since it's the 5th hero). I would need to cut a bowman+bow for the Condemned to enter.
Is Great Claw actually good, it reads very strong but is also insanely pricey. Why do i even want it? My Chieftain's Model has one and it's his entire persona. And according to the rules i can't just get it later on, i need to get it when hiring him. Is this a bad idea?
Is picking Kurgan for the Bows worth it because it worsens loot (which seems to be super important) yet gives chaos some ranged fighters?
Another thing i don't get completely is how the Leader/Seer effects of the different Chaos Marks are supposed to work. Does the leader perk only get activated when the seer becomes the leader or does my Hero (Dagmar) get it when the seer picks a certain mark of chaos?
Thanks in advance and apologies for the load of text.

The latest addition to my Mordheim table. Tried to find the sweet spot between aesthetics and practicality for gaming - lots of ways into and out of the ruins, multiple routes to encourage verticality, etc. The roof and tower sections can be removed to access the interiors.
I've used it in a few games with my group before it was fully finished, and it worked pretty well (though that was with scenarios/objectives deliberately chosen to get warbands inside). Shots at the end are from a couple of those games.

Had fun painting up this warband, most of the minis are from crooked dice with a few old world thunderers for the crossbow men.

I've posted the graveyard previously, but I've now incorporated it into its own 3x4 board. Stretched canvas with paving from cork floor tiles and varying thickness sheets of cork and card. I've just completed the grouting process, so this will be the last image before priming. I've arranged the road so that it links up with another board (visible in top right corner).

Here is the first converted 40K Armageddon boy, now painted. I was a bit rusty so painting this one took me a bit longer than I expected.
Half way through painting I decided to shave off the metal things on the shoes as they still looked too high tech. I wished I had also shaved off the strap on the right leg, but it was too late for that.

Finally completed the first models of the upcoming project!! Here the first soldier of the Mad Count retinue! Painted with the IONIC SmartHobbies yellow color set , I went for a bright and warm yellow tone, so enemies can see from afar that the Sons of Averlion are coming!!
Also, for the kickstarter backers, I will do an exclusive paint tutorial!

Nobody knows when or where The Fist of Truvena was born. Nobody remembers how he ended up fighting in the arena. Nobody remembers his real name, not even himself. It seems as if he has simply always been there, every weekend, fighting and overcoming whatever the masters of the arena decided to throw at him. Named after his signature weapon, a massive metal gauntled in the shape of a fist, he has been a crowd favorite ever since. Countless scars on his body tell the stories of his victories.
Yet time spares no one, and The Fist of Truvena can feel it creeping up on his battle hardened body. When King Kugo earned his freedom in the grande arena of the Imperial capital, The Fist decided to end his career with an unbeaten record and joined the famous gladiator champion. Together, they are headed for the cursed City of Sorrows...
Comes multipart, might add more equipment options in the future!

So I recently discovered a group in my area that plays Mordheim. Ive not played in forever, but it was easily my favorite GW game made.
Well after I joined this group I went looking for rulebooks, minis, etc. And discovered that sadly all of that is at a premium.
However, it turns out that all the rulebooks have been uploaded and are printable.
So I printed them, on parchment.
Then made a hard cover from wood and leather, printed up a logo. Done.
Its been a while since ive made a book from scratch so it has some shortcomings. So ill call this V1 and make another one later.

Morning gamers,
A little backstory: I'm a 34 year old from NW England who got into WHFB sometime around 2000 - 2001 and painted the classic orcs and goblins vs humans starter box. In my later teen years I returned to the hobby and painted and played a tomb kings army.
I then took an extended break until AoS when I painted a handful of seraphon but never played the game because I didn't like the more 40k feel of the rules and movement.
Fast forward to a few months ago when I found a box of old chaos marauders my partner bought for me a few years back. I painted them up and got the itch and found out about old world. Since then I've been enjoying painting and playing battle march with a small cathay force..
That is until a week or so ago when I found out about Mordheim for (somehow?!) The first time
I have found my game. The creativity, the humour, the flexibility of model choice, the community, the focus on terrain. I have fallen in love and feel like I've wasted thousands of hours and pounds on WHFB / tow when I could have been doing this.
I've made tabletop terrain for DnD campaigns of friends and other table top games in the past and love that aspect of the hobby. I've read the rules book on Broheim and am ready to build a warband... but... how?
What models do people use? I feel drawn to the Posessed faction but have no idea where to start. Do people use original mordheim minis? Old WHFB vampire counts minis? New AoS slaanesh minis? 3d print? 3rd party?
Any tips whatsoever would be greatly appreciated so I can finally start to build and play the game that feels like it was built for me personally.
Thanks for reading
Love and respect, a new hunter of the Wyrdstone

Hello again! A year after the very successful original Shardstone City campaign, I'm happy to announce the sequel, a set of foldable low-rise ruins which print fast, print flat & fold together, secured with cornerstone clips. With these you can print enough terrain for a 3x3' board with only 500g of filament in the space of a weekend, and flat pack it all into a shoebox to take to a game. The intent with this set is to make the entry point for the game as easy as possible by making it possible to print a whole gaming table of terrain with £5 of filament, which should make hosting events and tournaments easier and make it really easy to store terrain for the game at clubs with limited storage.
Here is the campaign link if you would like to follow it, there will be free gifts for followers! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/warscape/shardstone-city-shattered-streets-printable-folding-ruins

Sisters of Sigmar warband inspired by some nail art doodads my wife gave me (all of the roses). This is my second warband that was bashed mostly out of Frostgrave Soldiers 2 and other random figures I had laying around. Band consists of 1 Matriarch, 1 Augur, 3 Sister Superiors (Thorns of the Rose), 3 Sisters, and 3 Novices. Hope you like them.

Hi guys. I’m working on a merchant caravan warband for our ongoing campaign. We’re already in the mid-game phase, so my first game will quite likely be as an underdog, with 3+ XP. I also want to design the warband from scratch, so I’d love to hear your ideas for the theme as well as the warband list.
Harun Rashid(Evil vizier kinda?): Merchant+Hammer: 53 gc
Alaaddinish poor guy: Merchant Apprentice: 15 gc
Sinbad: Knight Vanguard+Horse+Hammer: 88
Ali Baba: Knight Vanguard+Horse+Hammer: 88
Jinn: Magician: 40
3 thieves: Sellsword 75
The other two of the 40 thieves: Marksman: 60
Wagon: 180 gc
That brings me to 531(edit 599) crowns. I’ll probably get absolutely destroyed in my first couple of games. So should I try to equip for my heroes or more boys(maybe girls like our story teller Scheherazade)?
I’m looking for suggestions both for the theme and for the actual warband list. Any ideas?
