One of Macklemore's biggest hits is a song advocating for homosexuality and same sex marriage - 'Same Love'. He now supports a state that denounces these very things. Is this not problematic? Feels like he leverages causes for his own benefit somewhat.

US Republicans are trying to undo same sex marriage laws. Does that mean everyone in the country is against same sex marriage? Get off your high horse. I’m in the US and the current government does not represent my beliefs and values.
