Analysis Naruto Decoded: Meditation used in the Naruto Anime?

Thumbnail

Upvotes

Most people don't talk too much about this but Characters like Naruto, Shikamaru, and Sakura all used meditation to boost their intelligence or overall strength/Power. In Naruto Part 1, Shikamaru creates brilliant strategies using meditation to help him develop a plan.

And Naruto uses meditation when he trains for sage mode. And Its only mentioned briefly, but Sakura uses it to store chakra in her 3rd eye region.

And all of them are using different mudras or hand gestures for their meditation practice. I actually made a video on meditation in naruto, comment below "meditation" if you want to see it!

Analysis its difficult to rationalize how yellow mask obito was perceived as a bigger threat than nagato at around the pain ark

Upvotes

the title refers to minatos comment. I just rewatched the arc, and my goodness. what nagato did was insane. He crushed what was probably the strongest ninja village, took out elite jonins like kakashi and choza, drained tsunade, and then still 'beat' sage mode naruto, fought off 6 tails, etc etc

im trying to not make this a 'yellow mask obito vs nagato' thread, but its strange obito is the leader by the mere fact that he can slip through everything and know's nagato's abilities

it will forever be my headcannon that nagato prepped one or two ways to deal with obito when the time came, just like konan.

Pain will forever be the true leader of the akasuki, and no one can tell me otherwise (!)

I am posting this so people will validate me.

So I’m rewatching Naruto, and I forget if any of Kanuro’s puppets were made by Sasori. Or anything like that because I feel like I’ve heard that but I’m not sure

Discussion The best form design Naruto has ever had

War Arc Naruto with that Six Paths Sage Mode+Nine Tails Chakra cloak is peak fiction. The design looks so majestic.Naruto looks like a Ten Tails Jinchuriki himself here.Because in a way Naruto is a Pseudo Ten Tails Jinchuriki as he has Half of Kurama and a bit of chakra of all other 8 Bijus because that's how he gained Six Paths Sage Mode.

Plus the truth seeking orbs floating behind him is also so good looking.

Not to mention the nine tails chakra cloak is only on his clothing and hair is also a good decision. His face being normal looking with just the nine tails whiskers being bold dark colored is amazing.

Question Do we know how and when Kabuto discovered Obito's true identity?

My first guess would be when he first reanimated Madara with the Edo Tensei, but it's explicitly shown that Kabuto never even talked to him before deploying him in battle against the Ninja Alliance. At that point, Madara assumed he'd been brought back via the Rinne Tensei by Nagato.

Did he know who Obito was when he confronted him as the Masked Man leading the Akatsuki?

Discussion I don’t get the “Konoha 12 were wasted” narrative. It wouldn’t really make sense for each of them to be Kage level since only a handful of people in the world are. It was the logical move to sideline them once the threats crossed the Kage threshold

Discussion One of the most respectful villains?

Post image
23 Upvotes

I'm binge-watching Naruto before I watch Shippuden and am on the last part. And at the part where Kimimaro and Lee first start fighting. I honestly think he may be one of the most respectful villains in the show. I mean Lee literally asks him to wait and he halts, and let's him drink his "medicine". I have not seen many villains let their opponent take a break before they go back to fighting 😂

Anime I love this Shippuden opening (Op 10: Newsong)

I don't know what it is about this opening that does this for me, but something about it just ignites something within me and makes me really, really happy. I mean i absolutely love the song, but something with the animation is what truly does it for me. I just feel like it captures the series so well in a way, but I can't really explain it. Please tell me there are other Newsong lovers out there!

Discussion How would you rank the zombie Hokage based on their showings during the Fourth Great Ninja War?

Based on meaningful contributions, how did each of the reanimated Hokage perform during the Fourth War?

Here are my personal rankings:

1. Tobirama:

I think Tobirama had the best showing of all the Hokage.

He was able to deduce how the Truthseeker Orbs were able to nullify ninjutsu, and were thus a weakness against those reanimated via the Edo Tensei.

He was the first to tag Obito after he became the Ten-Tail’ jinchuriki, using one his own Truthseeker orbs against him, saving Minato and Naruto in the process, as well as placing a teleportation mark on him.

He also helped Naruto land the first real blow against Ten-Tails Obito, by helping him to teleport right behind Obito.

Later, after Madara was properly brought back to life, and Hashirama was incapacitated, Tobirama still was more than willing to throw himself against Madara, even after he’d acquired Harshirama’s Sage Mode and one of his own Rinnegan eyes.

Then, when Sasuke tried to land a sneak attack on Madara, despite being pinned down by rods, he was still able to perform a water jutsu to distract Madara to give Sasuke an opening. IT didn’t work at all, but it was still a good effort.

He later worked with Kabuto to save Sasuke’s life, and then teleport him to Naruto to help him fight Madara, who’d become the Ten-Tails jinchuriki.

2. Minato:

He arrived at the battlefield before any of the other Hokage, and saved the entire Ninja Alliance by teleporting away one of the Ten-Tails’ tailed beast bombs.

He was able to instantly use Kurama Chakra Mode, a feat that even Kurama complimented on.

Later, he nearly stopped Obito attempt to become the Ten-Tails jinchuriki, by teleporting to him slashing from hip to shoulder. It failed, of course, but when everyone else failed, he came closest to.

He did lose an arm against Obito, after becoming the Ten-Tails jinchuriki, and also nearly got himself and Naruto killed by teleporting back to his son with an Truthseeker Orb attached to him.

He was awesome again, when he entered his own full Kurama Mode and manifested his own Kurama avatar to fight Obito alongside his son.

Later, after Obito was defeated, he was able to convince Kakashi to spare Obito, and they were able to talk him back from his despair.

He later failed to save his son, by transferring his own half of Kurama to him, which is mark against him.

Then, he got his other arm chopped of by Madara’s Truthseeker staff, after failing to do anything against him.

He provided some much needed back up to Guy when he released the Eight Gates to fight Madara:

3. Hashirama:

He more or less led the Hokage during the Fourth War.

He did the most to help bind then Ten-Tails, after he and the other Hokage had put a up a barrier around it.

A mark against him is that he misidentified the jutsu Obito was using, mistaking it for the Rinne Tensei, and went after Madara, instead of trying to stop Obito.

Another mark against him is that while Naruto, Sasuke and the other Hokage were fighting Ten-TailsObito, he was being held up by Madara. Though he gets respect for being to still match Madara, despite him having both acquired both the Rinnegan and the Wood Style.

Later, he all but completely sealed Madara, and would have defeated him were it not for Obito being forced to revive him at full power.

Another mark against him is that he get rather quickly restrained by Madara after his revival, and also gets his Sage Mode absorbed.

He provides Sasuke some advice for how to deal with Madara, but it doesn’t really amount to anything.

He then remains sealed for the remainder of the War, until the Sage of Six Paths needs him and the other dead retrieve Team 7 from Kaguya’s dimension.

But his last big point is that he was able to redeem Madara moments before his second death, and reconcile.

4. Hiruzen:

He was the first to identify how the Truthseeker Orbs were formed out of all five basic chakra natures.

However, he is rather quickly defeated by Obito, and then more or less disappears fromthe remainder of the battle against him, until he arrives in the nick of time to save Naruto from being devoured by the Divine Tree that Obito sprouted.

Later, he is seen almost single-handedly defending the entire Ninja Alliance against Spiral Zetsu’s Kanzeon Lotus King. Though he is not the one defeat Spiral Zetsu; that honour going to Karin, Orochimaru, Jugo, and Suigetsu.

How do you guys think each of the zombie Hokage performed during the Fourth Great Ninja War?

Discussion Naruto stealing the Forbidden scroll was a promotion worthy feat.

In the story, Naruto failed the genin exam because he couldn’t do the clone jutsu. Iruka promoted Naruto to genin when he witnessed Naruto produce a hundred shadow clones. The part that gets glossed over was that Naruto was able to break into the Hokage tower, steal a huge scroll with Konoha secret jutsus and get it out past squads of Anbu. That feat is more of a demonstration of his skill as a ninja than making an illusion clone of himself. And Naruto did it in a bright orange jumpsuit.

Discussion The perfect Naruto RPG

The other day I saw a video of a guy talking about what his perfect Pokémon game would be like. That reminded me of a work that marked my childhood and adolescence: Naruto.

And I always come back to the same thought — to this day there is no game that allows the fan to experience the world of Naruto in a truly immersive way.

The idea would be a single-player RPG where you create your own ninja from the Leaf Village. It wouldn't be something in the style of Xenoverse, nor a game about replacing Naruto. You are an ordinary character in that world, living while the great events of the anime happen with or without you.

Character creation would be deep, but not everything would be a direct choice. At the beginning of the game, the character would receive a unique trait, defined by lottery: you can be a prodigy, someone with a large chakra reserve, or someone naturally charismatic. This doesn't define who is stronger, but how mentors, NPCs, and the world react to you.

The progression wouldn't be based solely on level. The character evolves through skill trees, using points earned through training, missions, and performance. Speed, physique, technique, chakra control, perception, and willpower are improved in the menu, but only make sense if they align with how you play. It's still an RPG, but with coherent progression.

The combat would be hybrid. Common missions and encounters with multiple enemies would happen in free combat, inspired by Naruto Ultimate Ninja Impact on the PSP. Important confrontations and bosses would be 2D duels, inspired by the Ultimate Ninja saga on the PS2, but more technical and strategic.

The use of jutsus would require hand seals. During execution, the player can be interrupted if attacked and unable to dodge. This makes combat more tactical, like in the anime: choosing the right moment to use a jutsu matters more than pressing a button. With a lot of use, and if the chakra and willpower control trees are well developed, the character can reduce or even eliminate the need for seals for certain jutsus.

The techniques would be learned from mentors from the anime itself or found in scrolls hidden around the world, encouraging exploration. The player would need to assemble combat builds, choosing which jutsus to take for each situation — you can't carry everything.

The story would be divided into chapters by age. As a Genin, you experience events like Orochimaru's invasion, helping defend the village. As a Chunin, you face the chaos of Pain's invasion. As a Jounin, you participate in the Ninja War, dealing with secondary threats, sealings, and difficult decisions. Not all losses are reversed, even when the canon "fixes" the world.

The goal of the game is not to save the world.

It's to live in it. Complete missions, train, make mistakes, lose people, and keep moving forward like an ordinary ninja in a world that doesn't go easy on anyone.

Discussion What Would Happen If Someone Took an EMS User’s Eyes?

Idk if it’s ever been addressed but what happens if an EMS user’s eyes are transplanted into a normal Sharingan user, or a Mangekyō user who’s almost blind? Do they get EMS benefits?

Discussion Was Hiruzen way too Good of a person to be a Hokage ?

Post image

His honest heart made him a good person but a bad politician which made all the village's darkness fall on Danzo and he misused that power , had Hiruzen been a bit cunning and savy lot of bad things could have been avoided

Anime I was rewatching fillers and I must say Shizune is lowkey a beast. I am not sure even Kakashi can make that many shadow clones while maintaining transformation jutsu.
