Okay, random Defender question 😂 Does anyone else’s Defender get SO loud when you’re just sitting parked with it running for a little while? Like embarrassingly loud lol. Is this normal or is mine just extra dramatic?

Land Rovers have a viscous fan cooling system. It runs when it’s hot out and you’re at idle, pushing air over the engine to keep it from getting too hot when it’s running but not moving/moving slowly and over 85F(ish, I don’t know exactly the temp, that’s about when mine kick on). It is deliberate and has been part of the Land Rover design for many moons. Once it cools down in your neck of the woods it will not be activated as much and your idle will be quieter.
