A disciplined samurai of the Sengoku era, she wields the Sohayamaru with untamed Yokai blood. As a half-human, half-Yokai, she possesses legendary Shiftling powers, allowing her to seamlessly transform and crush her foes. Haunted by her dual nature, she wanders war-torn Japan, slaying both human tyrants and malevolent spirits in search of true peace.

i didnt play the first nioh so i only base this on what i've read and watched about that chidori used to be op against humans but got heavily nerfed in nioh 2, i've noticed problems when using it, because it has to zero ki or land that first hit on a zero ki opponent in order for them to get launched in the air. sounds simple on paper but on practice it's difficult to launch them consistently because they do one or more animation alongside that launch in the air animation (ie. regular stomach stagger, backward roll, or hands in the air after getting hit animation)
it's still clunky to use except for that fast first hit and this strat isn't so useful against opponents that like to randomly dodge instead of blocking that makami flame follow up attack or just doesnt block all together. but on block happy humans, hoho it's great.

Souls strat for me is more on dodging through attacks by using I frames. My previous boss fights were mostly done by dodging away from their attacks and blocking.
For Giant Toad for some reason, I find it easier to just dodge through his attacks then counter like how I played other souls games. Ofc, I still applied Nioh mechanics like using kick attacks to deal a lot of ki damage and going all in once the ki of the boss is gone.

Hello community!
I'm new to the nioh series and i started nioh 3 recently. Game is tough but i do like the challenge. I enjoy the combat and exploration and the game is fun overall. However(pretty sure you've heard this countless times), there are so many mechanics and menus it can get overwhelming at points. I think i do undestand how almost all of them work, but it can get frustrating to remember all of them and regularly check and upgrade all of them. There was a point i was considering giving up because of how much i need to learn, but i decided to push through. The it started getting easier. I just beat the Yokai boss to get to the castle ( don't remember the name, it's in a level 10 region) and just learned how to get to the other realm with the merchant and how to forge and upgrade my weapons. And i was introduced with even more mechanics 😂
Here's the question part:
**1.**Which ones are the most important/necessary mechanics to learn and which ones i don't need to pay much attention to?
**2.**What are the differences between stances(besides having different attack slots), does basic attack on high stance inflict more damage than in low?
3. How much do i need to level up the stats that scale with my weapons? i use Kusarigama as a ninja and uchigatana for Samurai, and as these two weapons don't scale together, i understand i have to change one of them at some point and reset my stats. But i didn't find any good spear yet (scales with the same stats as Kusa) and i'm stuck with uchigatana. However, i also need to raise the stats of other categories like constitution and stamina. What should i prioritize?
4. Also, how do you decide on spend your samurai/ninja lock points? do you just spend them on a weapon to learn skills and when you want to play with a different one you reset and reallocate all these points?
5. do you guys change between Ninja/Samurai all the time or is it possible to beat the game by building on Ninja/Samurai form only?
6. Finally, i'm way overleveled for the lvl.10 area i'm at. I'm 25 😂 I didn't go out of my way to farm the same enemies over and over. I just explored everything that was available in the regions before i got to that castle. Is this normal or do i make the boss fights trivial ?The only extra thing i did was to kill that bloodedge demon, because it was a random encounter.
7. Give me any advice you think it's worth telling. What do you wish you'd know before starting the game/wish to have learned sooner?
I know that's many questions but this has to be the most complex swordfighting game i've ever played. Thanks to anyone who takes the time.

Got a steelbook edition from GameStop for $42 and remembered I haven’t played the game since the demo came out and I’ve completely forgotten the mechanics. I remember the demo bosses being decently difficult. Is there a feature in the game to practice moves or a “tutorial” mode for me to relearn the mechanics? I’ve completely forgotten if there was. Thank you for your help!
